Don’t believe the reviews about the grub
Wonderful cruise with superb staff.

Although Virtuosa is a large ship it doesn't feel crowded. There are plenty of places to eat. The staff are very friendly . As soon as you board you feel welcome. we enjoyed our pre dinner drink in the Sky Lounge which is Adults Only. Plenty of activities for the children also. The excursions on this trip were excellent. The Flaam railway is exceptional, definitely one not to be missed.

MSC Virtuosa was a nice ship, with friendly staff. Criticisms are - pricing on board in bars and shops is too expensive - for comparison, small (33cl) bottle of Newcastle Brown £7. Giant toblerone £13. MSC Excursion prices seem too expensive compared to if booking independantly - we did Flam Railway excursion which cost £163 each, where as cost to book direct would have been roughly £50 to £80 each depending on time booking for. Lack of variety for onboard entertainment.

Experience at Yacht Club on MSC Virtuosa was second level! Amazing staff, service, entertainment, food, beverages & level of cleanliness was unparalleled! All other passengers in the Yacht Club were so friendly but not overbearing. I look forward to my next trip with MSC!

Most of the staff are exceptional, they are friendly and provide an excellent service. The Virtuosa is loud and aimed at parties who want to drink and enjoy loud environments, its easy to see why the company has become a victim of its own marketing in this area. Off board trips are expensive, but aren't they all. The cruise was good value for money, and on the whole the food is good, catering for a lot of tastes, with a good always available menu in the MDR's. Shows are average, we saw an ABBA tribute, without Benny & Bjorn! Must of been their day off! A singer that once sang on Michael Barrimore's show..yeah... And a paid show that was so poorly scripted and executed, it was just sad to watch! It was a cross between BGT, Chess and Starlight Express. It was as though someone had got given a bunch of entertainers and was forced to get all of them in a show. They were great individually, I couldn't do it, but it was just random, and it was like an audition for BGT! On saying that, the boat was clean and getting on and off for trips and embarkation etc was easy and the cabin was clean and fresh. The TV played UK channels which was nice to keep up with things at home, and the wifi, even though we had the basic, was really good. Would we go with MSC again? Probably, it was overall good, and value for money.

Needs more/better facilities for disabled guests in view of the sheer number of passengers and staff on this large ship.
