Great & easy company to use

Great & easy company to use. Be honest about the condition of your mobile & they will offer a fair price. They received my mobile in the post on a Thursday morning ..... by 6pm the same day I had been paid. Brilliant 👏

Prompt service but hard to meet Mazuma light scratch criteria!

I sent my iPhone 14 to Mazuma with a very light scratch which could only just about be seen when angling the screen in the light. I was quoted £255 on the website as, using their criteria, I considered it to be in “excellent” condition. I then received an email with a reduction to £215 as there were “more than 3 very light scratches or deep scratch”. I emailed asking for photos of this and duly received photos that were of my phone, but they had clearly been very magnified to show my light scratch, which as magnified, of course showed it to be more of a deep scratch, but when looking at the phone in situ, it was literally a very light scratch which could only be seen when angling the phone in the light and could not even be “felt”, whereas a deep scratch would be able to be felt. However, having read many reviews, I didn’t see there would be any point arguing the issue any further and £215 seemed reasonable, but I do wonder what they do consider a “light scratch” to be!! The customer service did respond quickly and the payment was absolutely made in good time, but like other reviewers, I do think it’s hard to argue against their definition of a light scratch and if my phone wasn’t considered to be in “excellent” condition for a “used” phone being traded in, then I can only assume they would only consider a brand new phone as such!

Offer reduced by 50% due to…

Had the offer reduced by 50% due to "Deep scratches" when I rejected they came straight back having "reassesed" the phones with a much higher offer. So I rejected out of principal. Will just ebay the phones instead. Waste of my time.

Dishonest Apple Watch Valuation

I sent my Apple Watch 8th Gen to Mazuma for a quoted price of £95. I was aware that it was an older watch and that the wear and tear it had suffered would mean I would probably get a lower valuation once they had had a look at it. Low and behold I get an email saying due to scratches dents (?) they could only offer me £20! I rejected this and asked for it to be returned as I knew I could get a lot more for it on eBay. I then get another email offering me £50! Im totally fine with being given a lower valuation because of its condition but dont try and con your customers out of money by giving a very low dishonest valuation to save yourself some money.
