Marsh and Parsons, Tooting - a really good experience!

I recently used the Tooting Bec branch of Marsh and Parson to sell my property and cannot speak highly enough of their Director, Angelo Mulholland. Angelo and Thomas Syms were reliable and honest in their dealings with me, they are both highly experienced agents who know the wider housing market and the local market well and understand the impact of the change in one on the other. Connor Marney, managed the on-the-ground marketing and sale of my property, an absolute star! Calm and reliable, unfailingly polite and hard working I felt really fortunate having Connor as part of my sales team. A big thank you to M&P, I have no hesitation in recommending you!

I worked with Marsh and Parsons to do a short-term lease. My agent rushed me to send over full funds (deposit and entirety of rent) immediately to secure the flat, warning me that I might not get the place otherwise, so I did. He wrote to confirm that I got the place. A month later, he said that I actually did not get the place as apparently the landlord was no longer renting it out, despite the contract and confirmation. He “generously” — that’s sarcasm — offered to refund the money. When he sent it back, it was short $1k. He refused to do anything else about it. Not only did he fail to fulfill contract obligations and screw me over that way, he also caused me financial loss for the privilege.

The worst possible real estate agents

The worst possible real estate agents. Marsh & Parsons Notting Hill are the worst. They made constant mistakes, and cost me money, yet charged me full price with threats to sue me (when they made mistakes)! Anyone looking to do anything with property in Notting Hill, should avoid these people. Your reply is untruthful. Speak with Giulia Palumbo, she is well aware of my complaint about your woeful service.

Good support on a complicated house purchase

The agents involved in our purchase of a property in London were great. It was a complicated deal that involved a lot of patience. They managed the difficult vendor very well.

Worst letting agent ever

Worst letting agent ever Were supposed to manage my daughter’s property in Queens Park.. always seemed to be some extra charge! Didn’t carry out checks despite saying they had so after tenants left we found mice infestation damage . Wooden Floor damaged… glass table broken - food on walls and basically was unlivable - Was very upsetting as house had been renovated shortly when she purchased it as was her home . It took a year for her to return as we then sent in builders to make good damage and decided to carry out some extra works. They overcharged her for their services and were untruthful and totally useless . She would never let again. Other friends had same experience with M&P but a different office in London and lost a large sum of money in unpaid rent. Adding to their reply How funny it is that they issue this same reply and never seem to have any records of any complaints - hmm - what does that tell you?

Marsh & Parsons Balham - Steer Clear!!

It's always important to re-read contracts, clauses and requirements. We requested M&P to add a break clause to our 3 year contract, they said they'd discuss it to the landlord. They came back to us saying congrats, agreed, rent X, term X, but failed to mention the break clause. We assumed all was agreed. Signed, but now trapped in a 3 year lease. Whether it was underhand negotiating tactics, or just incompetence that they left it out (on both ours and their side), but we are stuck and M&P refuse to help. I won't deal with them again. They aren't trust worthy, and do not have your interests at heart.

I agree with the other review about this company. We found a great flat and when we tried to sort things out in a reasonable fashion with the women Beth and particularly Georgi, we were really put off by their behaviour towards us. My wife is Russian and is not easily upset, but in the end, with phone calls to each of us, we decided to give up on this company and the desirable flat in Kensington because they put such a bad taste in our mouths. Seems like this company culture stems from the top to me... rather unpleasant and certainly to be avoided. (Also, I see you in your reply that you can't find our records, despite the fact that we made an offer on the flat concerned - well never mind, as we certainly want to get you out of OUR heads as soon as possible).

Feels like I ve been Robbed with no prior warning....

Do not use Marsh Parsons if you want to be lied to and treated less than a human being. It’s been three months and I still have not got ANY deposits back or any confirmation as to when. They did not return my numerous calls and only replied to my emails after 2 months. Then they threatened and made allegations that I broke the contract and even lied that they have no recollection of the written confirmation. In my view - this is stealing of my deposit monies. They say they have no contractual relationship with me which is awful surely if you are the managing agent you would have integrity and treat your customers at least with some level of decency. I will have no choice but to report them to the property ombudsman to have the agency fully investigated and seek readdress.

WORST Customer service ever

A friend and I recently viewed a flat in Kensington Olympia. The flat looked really nice and we were excited to move forward with the application. However, the agent became really pushy. We wanted a standard 1 year contract with a 6 months breaking clause (like other agencies offer, or even direct landlords). But the agent made it same as she and the landlord were doing us a favour by offering a 3 year contract with a 16 months breaking clause. (???) We didn't want this because all the furniture would have been replaced by the landlord. So basically she wanted us to sign for a 3 years contract for a place with furniture we have never seen before. We made a list of the furniture we would require and she made it seem like we were asking for too much and started to be rude towards us. Also, she contacted us during business hours and if we didn't reply for 40 minutes she would text us again asking for updates. We work, we are in meetings and we have things to do. But that didn't stop her, she kept texting and pushing us. After noticing all these red flags, we withdrew our offer form. I recommend that you stay away from Marsh and Parsons. They make it seem as they are doing you a favour by forcing you to sign a 3 years contract, but remember that you are the ones committing to spend your money. So you are making a favour to them, hence they should be way nicer to potential tenants.
