Marsh and Parsons, Tooting - a really good experience!

I recently used the Tooting Bec branch of Marsh and Parson to sell my property and cannot speak highly enough of their Director, Angelo Mulholland. Angelo and Thomas Syms were reliable and honest in their dealings with me, they are both highly experienced agents who know the wider housing market and the local market well and understand the impact of the change in one on the other. Connor Marney, managed the on-the-ground marketing and sale of my property, an absolute star! Calm and reliable, unfailingly polite and hard working I felt really fortunate having Connor as part of my sales team. A big thank you to M&P, I have no hesitation in recommending you!

I worked with Marsh and Parsons to do a…

I worked with Marsh and Parsons to do a short-term lease. My agent rushed me to send over full funds (deposit and entirety of rent) immediately to secure the flat, warning me that I might not get the place otherwise, so I did. He wrote to confirm that I got the place. A month later, he said that I actually did not get the place as apparently the landlord was no longer renting it out, despite the contract and confirmation. He “generously” — that’s sarcasm — offered to refund the money. When he sent it back, it was short $1k. He refused to do anything else about it. Not only did he fail to fulfill contract obligations and screw me over that way, he also caused me financial loss for the privilege.

M&P currently look after the flat I…

M&P currently look after the flat I used to live in and a couple of months ago, I decided it was time for me to move out. During this process, I was faced with many challenges and hurdles which resulted in the handover process taking longer than expected. When Weronika stepped in and took over handling the change of tenancy, she clearly outlined what had to be done, understood my concerns and took into consideration my timeline and the deadline of needing to get things done. She made it her duty and priority to ensure it all run smoothly for me/us. Thank you Weronika for all of your hard work, it was much appreciated.

Little Venice Branch

Little Venice Branch: We asked a number of Estate Agents to value a very run down flat we had in Little Venice. We asked for advice on whether to sell it as it was or renovate and sell. We needed to maximise the profit as the money would be used to pay for a care home for a relative. I felt that Paul Christian was the only estate agent who advised us on what was best for us and not what was best for the agent. Paul supported us throughout the renovation. When we came to sell the flat, it was probably the most difficult market for some years and he achieved an above asking price for us. We're really grateful!

A Revolving Door of Lies and Incompetence

I've been a tenant in a property being 'managed' by M&P for 11months. Since I've moved in they've been nothing but unhelpful and facetious. I've had multiple other agents over the years with only minor issues that have been resolved in a reasonable time. M&P have regularly lied, lacked effective communication and had a revolving door of incomptent employees involved in the management of our property. I feel all these problems are down to lack of employee training and no sense of responsibility to their tenants and landlords. We've been lucky to have a helpful landlord, hence we've bypassed M&P to get anything done. This started when it took them 2 months to get our boiler/heating fixed after we moved in December 2022. Whilst they were contractually responsible for communication between tenants and the landlord, we've had to go around them to get anything done. They continually lied to the landlord and us regarding the progress of issues being sorted. If you're a landlord do not enagage with this company, they will provide zero value for your rental property. If you're a tenant looking to be supported by M&P, lower your expectations or find a property being managed by a competent company. I can't imagine there's a company less ethical or functional in this market than Marsh & Parsons. The senior management of M&P should be ashamed of themselves for allowing the neglect of so many tenants and landlords. REPLY TO M&P AUTOMATED RESPONSE: Do not be fooled for this automated response trying to discredit this review. We had no heating for weeks in freezing temperatures due to the neglect from M&P. This is one of many issues we've had with them.

Our property manager Abdullah Leghari looks after our flat in marylebone. He has to date been very responsive ,proactive and very courteous. This makes our experience as a landlord much less stressful. We are therefor happy with the service that Marsh and Parsons provide.
