Extremely Disappointed with their Unfair Practices

I booked a free course with Flexible Learning by mistake, realising almost immediately that it wasn’t the right level for me. I contacted them the very next day to cancel — before accessing any materials or participating in anything — only to be told I’d be charged a £125 “admin fee” to cancel. While I understand there was a clause about this fee for non-completion, it’s completely unreasonable to enforce it when the course was clearly booked in error and cancellation was requested promptly. I didn’t benefit from the course in any way, and yet they’re still demanding payment. Worse still, the course was advertised as free, but this cancellation charge wasn’t made clear upfront. It feels misleading and unfair — and their refusal to show any flexibility or understanding shows a complete lack of customer care. I would not recommend Flexible Learning to anyone based on this experience. If you make an honest mistake, don’t expect any compassion — just a bill.

Amazing

My tutor was amazing, patient and knew how to teach! my mental health was not grate when I started but my manager and tutor was amazing and so supportive, I finished level 2 hair dressing and am now onto level 3 and honestly loving it. Definitely recommend! well definitely recommend the camden branch all tutors are amazing kind and patient but in a constructive way. Had the best experience in level 2 hairdressing.

My qualification was considered invalid

I completed the level 2 counselling course with learning curve and whilst the material was relevant and useful, my certificate arrived with my name spelt wrong and no other counselling courses would take me or consider me qualified as the course has no ‘in person’ hours. Something important to consider if you are looking to excel your career, very few work places or educational institutions take on candidates who have completed online courses. I felt like I spent a lot of money on something and felt misled as I asked the company if I could continue my studies at a college after this course and they said yes, which was not the truth. Just be wary of this as the cost is high and you may not be able to use what you’ve gained from the course.

Neuroscience in Early Years

I found the system was easy to use. The course content was very interesting and informative. The mentors are extremely helpful and were understanding when I needed to extend my submission date.

To succeed in every day life is to learn now something new

I think it’s always a good idea to learn new things, especially when you’re older, my tutor was there every step of the way to help and if I made mistakes she was always there to support me

Deadlines unrealistic if in full time employment

I enjoyed the course however, as I work full time with an hours commute each way, I found the deadline dates to be unachievable and put me under a lot of pressure to get the work completed.

Use caution, these seem a little untrustworthy

I received a cold call today from a mobile number claiming they were from The Learning Curve Group. She said "We have space on the course you wanted to join" I asked what course it was, and she just said she'd transfer me. I said I was going to hang up as if she didn't know the course it sounded like a scam. I was immediately hung up on. I don't know if this is shady business practice to enrol you on courses that are not suitable for you, or if this was a scammer. Either way this is dodgy. If it was a scammer then my info would have had to have been passed on by Learning Curve for them to know I'd tried to enrol on a course in the past, even if they didn't have the specifics

A Huge Thank The Learning Curve Group…

I can not thank The Learning Group enough for their services. I have studied both Levels two and three in Counselling skills with them and i can not praise it enough. Both tutors i have worked with have been extremely helpful an very supportive. My work has always been marked within less time than stated and the feedback from my answers was always constructive, informative, polite and helpful. The website has a minor issue with a pop up, asking if you are still there and learning, this can happen at any time even when you are typing your answers and if you press any other key apart from clicking the OK tab, it deletes all the work you have done on that answer, i learned to save my answers quite frequently after losing hours of work. Thanks again Learning Curve Group, i would highly recommend the service.
