I booked a free course with Flexible Learning by mistake, realising almost immediately that it wasn’t the right level for me. I contacted them the very next day to cancel — before accessing any materials or participating in anything — only to be told I’d be charged a £125 “admin fee” to cancel. While I understand there was a clause about this fee for non-completion, it’s completely unreasonable to enforce it when the course was clearly booked in error and cancellation was requested promptly. I didn’t benefit from the course in any way, and yet they’re still demanding payment. Worse still, the course was advertised as free, but this cancellation charge wasn’t made clear upfront. It feels misleading and unfair — and their refusal to show any flexibility or understanding shows a complete lack of customer care. I would not recommend Flexible Learning to anyone based on this experience. If you make an honest mistake, don’t expect any compassion — just a bill.
My tutor was amazing, patient and knew how to teach! my mental health was not grate when I started but my manager and tutor was amazing and so supportive, I finished level 2 hair dressing and am now onto level 3 and honestly loving it. Definitely recommend! well definitely recommend the camden branch all tutors are amazing kind and patient but in a constructive way. Had the best experience in level 2 hairdressing.

i really enjoyed it. The online session was really helpful.
Brilliant course and easy to follow. It is set out with deadlines so you can see how long you have to complete certain sections and it’s easy to pace yourself with it too. More support could have been given, particularly when I reached out to my tutor but had no reply but the course was great, and it was marked quite quickly. Would recommend!
Very supportive tutors and customer service. Recommended
I like that I got instant 1 to 1 support from my tutor and my tutor was always available to answer any questions I had through email. I also like the live chat service and the various ways to contact the company through email, live chat and by phone.
During the course, I had NO communication with my 'tutor'. I emailed multiple different email addresses on multiple occasions, and still never managed to get a solid response or any support. They knew prior to me starting the course that I had learning difficulties. I finished the course over a year ago, I'm still yet to receive my certificate. I was told that the longest I would have to wait would be 6 months, which is clearly false. I've had an email back and forth with the support team for months now and I keep getting the same response of 'not much longer' and 'just wait'. I completed a short course with The Skills Network prior to this one and it was a much nicer experience. I had regular contact with my tutor and received feedback on my projects so I knew what to improve on. I also received my certificate less than 2 weeks after finishing the course. Would strongly recommend. TLDR: If you think you're capable of completing the course on your own with no support/feedback then go ahead. As long as you also don't want the certificate. But I don't know how many employers are going to believe you've achieved a qualification you have no proof of.
