Extremely Disappointed with their Unfair Practices

I booked a free course with Flexible Learning by mistake, realising almost immediately that it wasn’t the right level for me. I contacted them the very next day to cancel — before accessing any materials or participating in anything — only to be told I’d be charged a £125 “admin fee” to cancel. While I understand there was a clause about this fee for non-completion, it’s completely unreasonable to enforce it when the course was clearly booked in error and cancellation was requested promptly. I didn’t benefit from the course in any way, and yet they’re still demanding payment. Worse still, the course was advertised as free, but this cancellation charge wasn’t made clear upfront. It feels misleading and unfair — and their refusal to show any flexibility or understanding shows a complete lack of customer care. I would not recommend Flexible Learning to anyone based on this experience. If you make an honest mistake, don’t expect any compassion — just a bill.

My tutor was amazing, patient and knew how to teach! my mental health was not grate when I started but my manager and tutor was amazing and so supportive, I finished level 2 hair dressing and am now onto level 3 and honestly loving it. Definitely recommend! well definitely recommend the camden branch all tutors are amazing kind and patient but in a constructive way. Had the best experience in level 2 hairdressing.

I am 55

I am 55, volunteering, with only one source of income, which is a work pension, and less than £17000 pa. I made my position very clear, and was told I qualified for funding. I completed unit 1 of my course over 3 weeks, then logged on to complete my first assessment, to find I no longer had access. Checking my emails, I found one received that day, stating I didn't qualify for funding, apoligies for any inconvenience! I emailed to enquire what had changed and was told I didn't qualify as I would need to be on benefits, or a low wage, or looking for work. Why would they assume I wasn't looking for work at 55! It was very upsetting and felt very unprofessional. I'm actually wondering if it's some sort of scam?

I loved the courses I did

I loved the courses I did. Managed to complete 3 of the courses whilst on maternity leave. I wanted to keep my brain active but also get a few new qualifications to help while looking for a new job at the end of my maternity leave. Being able to complete the course around my schedule was great and all the tutors I had we're always super helpful and understanding of my circumstances. The UI used was really easy to navigate all the course material too. I would highly recommend

Great info, not great learning experience

This course contained great information and I feel I learned a lot, but I found the learning platform difficult to use. Tt was so much reading, which was quite boring, with virtually no other learning tool or engagement tool in the course. Some things you had to click to open, but they just contained a lot more reading! The assessments mainly required you to remember and repeat what you'd read, rather than use the knowledge and think critically. The "additional activities" which were optional seemed way more useful, but these weren't marked and weren't required. As the course was about autism, I felt the platform could be way more neurodivergent friendly.

The Learning Group Level 3 Counselling…

The Learning Group Level 3 Counselling course has been easy to apply for, access and the tutors and customer service team have been able to help me with extensions when needed. The content of the course was sufficiently challenging to get my brain working and I really enjoyed completing the assessments. I am hoping to progress to Level 4 at some point, so this course is the pre-requisite for accessing Level 4.

Once I was actually enrolled on the…

Once I was actually enrolled on the correct course, which was somewhat problematical, things were really good. The information to study was clearly presented, the team for advice were easily accessible and always very helpful .The team didn`t mind how insignificant or simple the questions asked of them were and wanted to make sure that you were fully informed and well looked after. Feedback on questions answered on the course was very practical and helpful.

Feedback ,and help setting up…

I had a few problems with setting up the course as I'm not into computer work ,I prefer classroom work but once I got into it I enjoy the course thanks to Joseph Matthews. As feedback, I would have liked to know what questions I got wrong ie I got 90% Wright so it would be helpful to know what I got wrong it might help in the future.
