Our tour was amazing. Houssin our guide was inspiring, passionate about his country and friendly, sensitive to the different personalities in the group. He was approachable and helped with all inquiries, no matter how small. Houssin also facilitated our dinners and different requirements. He developed a real rapport with our group. Local guides were articulate and informative.
We had a great tour with 'Seen' our Tour Leader who made everyone feel so welcome. 'Seen' continued this throughout our Trip giving us so much information on all destinations and looking after our welfare. Additionally all the Support Team worked hard to keep us safe, well feed and hydrated always with a smile. So many wonderful memories, good laughs with other Team bike members and new friendships forged. Thank you Intrepid, Dave
Having never been to Turkey previously and as a first time user of Intrepid, we had an amazing tour. We did the Turkey Encompassed tour which was led by Mali who was so knowledgable, a great tour leader and gave us a fantastic insight into the country. Being in a small group was great and so many highlights, would recommend this tour and Intrepid.
Fantastic trip, I have lifelong wonderful memories. Beautiful places, brilliant captain, a great band of fellow travellers all add up to a great week.

The 5 day Intrepid tour of Iceland was a highlight of my overseas trip in June. I enjoyed travelling in a mini bus with a small group, led by a charming Icelandic tour guide who was very knowledgeable about the country’s history and mythology. The tour included climbing a glacier, a luxurious soak in the geothermal Secret Lagoon, and walks to beautiful waterfalls, bubbling mud and geysers. I came away with great respect for this interesting and unique country. I would recommend Intrepid for an Icelandic experience.

The Vietnam south to north tour was excellent - made all the better by our amazing guide Tuan. He had a very composed demeanor, pleasant nature, incredible knowledge of local history and a calm presence which instilled confidence in the group at all times. He quickly and efficiently dealt with any requests from the group (such as suggestions for activities or good restaurants). He helped make a fantastic tour all the more special.

In regards to the preceding review I wrote. Due to the lack of a swift, customary response, I admit that my comments concerning my brother's tour experience and welfare were a little bit strong, thus putting the management representatives of Intrepid in a uniquely awkward position. I apologise unreservedly, however I still stand by my word over the unfairness that has been thrown at Joe's way. Our feedback on his incomplete trip has remained truthful and realistic, though we still find it disrespectful when previous replies have contained the usual excuses, negativity and no resolution. Additionally, I have come across the review of another customer, who like Joe was on an African overland tour last year found herself curtailed and unrefunded following a mediocore accident, under similar extenuating circumstances and I can share in her misunderstanding and frustration. Now I can't help but wonder that a pattern might be forming here where travellers are misjudged and dismissed too easily, but most of all needlessly. At the end of the day everyone is human and it's natural to make mistakes now and again, but still, issuing a curtailment without thorough consultation first is going too far. It appears that Joe was and is continuously subjected to bullying in connection to his discarded claim, and is literally crying out for help. I therefore kindly persuade for Intrepid to at least arrange a reasonable term of reimbursement that my brother is overdue. Please. Respectfully, John.

I have been on multiple trips with Intrepid - to South Africa (Garden Route), Azerbaijan-Georgia and Armenia and on a trip through Central America (from Guatemala to Costa Rica). I would rate the trips highly and the prices advertised seem fair. The tour guides are knowledgable and seem to be able to resolve issues. Good mix of travellers too.

I recently did a Galapagos Islands tour with Intrepid and absolutely loved it. This is my fourth trip with Intrepid and I can't speak highly enough of the trips. The highlight of this trip for me was the amazing wildlife of course but rivalling it was our wonderful guide Joel. What an absolute find Intrepid has with Joel, he is so knowledgeable and is so proud of the islands and everything they have to offer. He truly cared about the group and I felt so privileged to have him as our guide.

Pros: -Definitely is a 'China Highlights' tour as you get to see the main parts of China quite quickly -Good communication from Interprid - live chat feature is very good and advisors are quick to respond -Good group with a mix of ages Cons: -Travel advice on the Interprid website seems a bit outdated, as they say you need a visa for the tour but there is also another option (240-hour/10-day) visa-free transit policy) for some foreign travellers -The tour guide was not very good at explaining the history/facts about places. At times, it felt like he had read the information online the day before and was relaying it to us. He also told us the wrong information several times -The tour guide was not very good at communicating about the schedule. For example, he was telling us the schedule for the day whilst food was being called out/served Overall, it was a good tour that included some incredible parts of China but I do think your experience can vary depending on the guide you get.

We enjoyed Walking the Lycian Way, our first Intrepid hiking tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, helpful and resourceful! Our tour mates were friendly and (again) helpful. We had a knee problem along the way and were pleased to have wonderful alternatives that expanded our understanding of the area. My suggestion for those considering this trip is . . . do it, but make sure you are hiking fit (not just generally fit).
