Tech support failure

I have been using iDrive for several years to backup our desktop and laptop PC. I have generally been quite happy with the product until now. Seven weeks ago iDrive started failing during online backup of one particular 256MB file. After many interactions with support they referred it to their "backend team". There has been no progress and not a word. I ping them every week and get the same response. I've had to resort to a local backup which I then copy to Google Drive. I will note that this is about 20X faster than IDrive online backup.

So far I am happy with iDrive.

I have only begun using iDrive. I have used other backup systems which seemed confusing to me so that I was never sure I was doing it correctly. So far, I like iDrive because it has a user-friendly interface for someone not really computer-savvy. I can back up to my external hard drive as well as the cloud, both backups can be accessed readily. I can backup on demand or on a pre-selected schedule. I have not yet tried the restore function. I have not yet made a mirror image of my computer, but to back up all my personal data took about 3 hours. Incremental backups take a few minutes. So far I am happy and have recommended iDrive to two people in my life.

Great Introductory Offer & User Friendly…

I got a great introductory offer and the software is more user friendly than the Acronis package I replaced it with. Understandably, the first full backup took a long time. But the second was completed in just five minutes as only amended or new files were needed.

Its a great way to save all my file

Its a great way to save all my file in one place with nearly unlimited storage for almost like free price, and also it gives me a great feeling to see that my computer drives are not full.

Absolutely abysmal service

Absolutely abysmal service. I lost over 100gb of data when syncing to the cloud. I've been waiting 3 weeks for a resolution to no avail. I am just repetitively told that a ticket has been raised. SCAM. AVOID.

So easy use. Just setup the files and folders to backup in your personal cloud and I drive does the rest completely in the back ground.

Good value for money

Good value for money in terms of the price-to-storage. I've found the upload speeds to be good. I had an issue with a backup freezing, which was due to the files being stored within OneDrive. Perhaps an issue for IDrive to investigate. Overall, a positive experience so far.

So far, so good!

So far this has been easy to setup and has been backing up my information without a problem. I am also visually impaired and I have not had a problem with accessibility yet, so that is a big plus as well!

Really pleased with IDrive backup…

Really pleased with IDrive backup solution. Easy to select what to backup and when. Wauv! Just tried to restore 150Mbytes, and it was finished after a few seconds. Only thing I wonder about: I got error message in the log file about some files that was not backed up due to error. OK, but what files? Haven't been able to figure out where to find those files, so I can either delete them or exclude them.
