Tech support failure

I have been using iDrive for several years to backup our desktop and laptop PC. I have generally been quite happy with the product until now. Seven weeks ago iDrive started failing during online backup of one particular 256MB file. After many interactions with support they referred it to their "backend team". There has been no progress and not a word. I ping them every week and get the same response. I've had to resort to a local backup which I then copy to Google Drive. I will note that this is about 20X faster than IDrive online backup.

So far I am happy with iDrive.

I have only begun using iDrive. I have used other backup systems which seemed confusing to me so that I was never sure I was doing it correctly. So far, I like iDrive because it has a user-friendly interface for someone not really computer-savvy. I can back up to my external hard drive as well as the cloud, both backups can be accessed readily. I can backup on demand or on a pre-selected schedule. I have not yet tried the restore function. I have not yet made a mirror image of my computer, but to back up all my personal data took about 3 hours. Incremental backups take a few minutes. So far I am happy and have recommended iDrive to two people in my life.

Great Introductory Offer & User Friendly…

I got a great introductory offer and the software is more user friendly than the Acronis package I replaced it with. Understandably, the first full backup took a long time. But the second was completed in just five minutes as only amended or new files were needed.

Great experience with Idrive!

I purchased Idrive Online backup on December 21, 2022 after a recommendation from a friend who has been using it for a number of years. The purchase and installation was a breeze. I was able to start my backup within minutes. Since it's backing up via internet, it did take some time. However, I was able to pause the backup during the day when I needed to work and continue to run it in the evenings and overnight. I love that it ensures all files are copied, gives me a notification if a file hasn't copied and sends an email as well. This is a great way for me to ensure that nothing is missed. Next, I'm going to back up my external hard drives from previous computers. I've always feared losing the data from those and now I don't have to worry!

iDrive provides the best solution

I have tried most of the cloud storage on the market, and my conclusion is clear; iDrive provides the best and cost effective solution. The easy way to manage backup and cloud drive storage is outstanding. I really recommend iDrive before most other services.

Looks like everything I need

Online support was awesome

Online support was awesome. They pointed me to the exact settings I needed in order to back up and restore my hidden Mac files. They followed up and continued to offer support above and beyond!

Best pricing and better than NAS for reliability

Best pricing I could find for my storage. I have been using multiple NAS drives over the years but with drives constantly failing and needing replacing, the $80 per year for 10TB costs less than 1 replacement drive. It was a no brainer. I just wish I could upload all my data quicker, although I haven't checked if they will deliver a drive to me in South Africa.
