This hospital is a scam

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL if you don’t want to spend 5,000USD in few hours or 15,000USD per night. This hospital is taking advantage on the tourists. I was told that a resort doctor gets a commission for every referral to this hospital.

La chica del 3 piso llegan y con su falta de respeto por el tiempo de los demás se ponen primero hablar entre ella y si pregunta te hablan con actitud una señora se quejo con ellas también es siempr

La actitud de las jóvenes ellas llegan y se ponen hablar entre ellas ante de atender y responden con actitud lo grande es que una señora le pregunta y le responden así ahí otra que esta dice eso no es raro aquí 3 piso. La chica del 1 y estacion 2 delen taller de servicios al cliente ten 15 año visitando este centro y primera ves me quejo es bueno dejar saber lo que esta pasando igual en el sótano deben talleres a esss chica 👧 que uno paga su dinero Gracias Delsy altagracia reyes

El personal es muy atento.

El personal es muy atento. Pero hay un problema de limpieza obvio. En la sala de espera de urgencias había una marabunta de hormigas y cochinillas totalmente inadmisible en un hospital. Supuestamente tienen unas plagas. Esto se erradica con una buena higiene tanto interior como exterior antes de que se establecen los nidos.

1 out of 5 stars – Deeply disappointing and distressing experience My daughter’s treatment at Hospiten Montego Bay was alarmingly poor. She was admitted with acute symptoms and required intensive monitoring. Despite a diagnosis of colitis and Crohn’s disease, staff care was minimal—with only two nurses displaying basic compassion. The clinical environment felt transactional. Staff repeatedly interrupted her care with card machines. Procedures that were later deemed unnecessary added up to $10,000 USD. Even with insurance settlement, the hospital failed to refund excess charges. Hospiten urgently requires training in person-centred care and empathy. Their approach was not just inadequate—it was dehumanising.

ALTA SIN ESPECIFICACIONES MÉDICAS LA MISMA DEBIMOS RECOGERLA DE RECEPCIÓN

Voy a ser breve: No puedo hablar del resultado de la operación, pues de ésta hace solo 8días y debo ir viendo. Pero tras operarme y recoger el alta en recepción sin ninguna explicación por parte del Cirujano Dr. Valencia viendo la misma en casa y omito los errores en la medicación prescrita. Esto ha sido en HOSPITEN-SUR...NEFASTO De igual manera que opino del mal hacer del Cirujano Valencia (Hospiten-Sur) Gracias mil a la Enfermera ALBA JANBAZ, quien movilizó cielo y tierra por propia iniciativa para que viesen como estaba, avisando a dos doctores y controlando mis constantes continuamente. Como le dije y reitero, eso es ejercer la profesión de forma vocacional, ¡¡ Bravo por ti, Alba !!

No acudir a dermatología en HOSPITEN

Con una cita confirmada en dermatología por imágenes hacen el ingreso erróneo con otro nombre de paciente y luego el sistema no permitía tomar las imágenes. Sin solución alguna estando más de una hora esperando. El centro cada vez peor, una incompetencia cada vez mayor las aseguradoras debieran no trabajar con estos centros que no brindan un servicio correcto y Hospiten ha decaído terriblemente últimamente. Desde esperas interminables en la guardia hasta todo tipo de incidencias en el servicio

Huye de este centro medico si eres…

Huye de este centro medico si eres funcionario. No voy a entrar en detalles..solo decir que tras 39 años de funcionario acudiendo a infinidad de centros médicos de toda España, este es sin duda el peor que me he encontrado con diferencia. Empezando por la mala educación de la señorita de recepción, siguiendo por el tiempo de espera para entrar en consulta y terminando por la falta de profesionalidad de la doctora que me atendió. Nada recomendable.

missed appointment

Subject: Complaint Regarding Missed Appointment and Unacceptable Treatment Dear Hospiten team, An appointment for a blood analysis was scheduled since January 2025, and I received multiple confirmations, including one via text message the day before. I drove 40 minutes to the hospital, only to be told there was no appointment scheduled. However, the appointment was clearly visible on the Hospiten app and also listed in the printed overview of my "citas" from January. What’s more concerning is the way I was treated. I was spoken to as if I didn’t understand anything, and the situation was brushed off with laughter. I found this extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. This experience is unacceptable.

Hospiten Lanzarotte

Hospiten Lanzarotte. Un servicio nefasto a falta de personal. No atienden el teléfono casi nunca, salta la centralita y puedes esperar hasta 20 minutos sin respuesta! Cada vez hay más reducciones en especialidades médicas y una larga lista de espera para que te atiendan. Un desastre.

The worst experience

Went to an interview with them for Tenerife Sur that lasted not even 2 minutes. The Spanish woman ( I am not Spanish ) looked at me in a very bad way and yelled at me from the first second. Asked me just one question, then, said that I can leave. I asked why did they asked me to come then, based on my CV ( got over 10 years of experience and I speak 5 languages ). Yelled and talked really bad... I sent an official complaint to their offices, they don't even bother to professionally answer me why that woman behaved like this.

A scam

A scam. Avoid at all costs. First of all, let me just tell you what my diagnosis eventually was. Jock itch in my butt crack. Cured with an over the counter cream. I work far too hard and don’t have time during the rest of the year to visit a health professional, so when I saw that there was a doctor available at the resort, I thought that it would be the right time to nip and then just get this checked. For US$150 she gave me a “full check up” (??) and then told me I needed to go urgently to the emergency room to see a dermatologist. She told me it was nice there, that they had Wi-Fi and aircon, and I’d be treated very well. She’d also arrange the taxi for me to get there… Immediately! On arrival there and after me questioning several times what this was going to cost I was yet again herded back to my cubicle with the promise that I’d be presented a bill before it went any further only for a third “doctor” to magically arrive before the running invoice, and claim to be a dermatologist. After my taking my pants off for a third time that morning , he advised me that I had a “mushroom infection“ and that I should stay in overnight for observation and go immediately onto a drip. At that point, I had a nasty feeling and went to reception where I was advised that the bill for my stay so far was a mere $950. After backwards and forwards jesuitical arguments with the front desk manager (things like - “we treat the patient first, not the money”, and “if you don’t pay you go to jail” (for a civil disagreement for goodness sake!), and various other bs avoidance techniques), I eventually called the police and got away with a mere $500 bill. But it took me six hours. During which time the door was locked on me and an armed guard placed there. If you’ve got insurance and you don’t really care, then I STILL wouldn’t go there. But I doubt very much if any of the so-called doctors I saw were actually qualified at all. If they were, I would be very interested to see what wording of hypocrite oath they signed at the completion of their training. An utter sham, a scam and disgrace. How this is permitted to continue is disgusting. Punta Cana is off the list - clearly this is sanctioned and ignored by the authorities. Be warned.

Dr Hierro - Bahia Bougainville - great

Dr Hierro at clinic assist on our resort (Bahia principe luxury Bougainville) was brilliant. Couldn’t fault her, very through before administering meds, booked a follow up to make sure everything was going well with treatment. Very helpful and friendly.

An appalling experience!

Everything that can go wrong, went wrong. The care of staff requires a lot of work, they have very little empathy towards their patients, the food is appalling and when you called them to your room they take forever to come to you. An experience I wish not to repeat!

Hospiten Sur

Hospiten Sur, Tenerife. 16/04/25 LLegué a urgencias con un fuerte dolor y el trato fué muy rápido y agradable en todo momento. Tuve que ingresar y mi estancia en la planta 2 no ha sido la más humana. Creo que se debe mejorar el trato al paciente, las formas de entrar a la habitación, el no tocar la puerta, en la forma de dirigirse o directamente NO dirigirse. Tocar el timbre es la única forma que tenemos para comunicarnos y sabemos que a veces no se puede acudir de inmediato pero tampoco ser ignorado. También comentar que yo acudí con seguro privado y tengo derecho a un acompañante. En ningún momento se le entraba la comida de mi acompañante y su botellín de agua correspondiente. Y por último resaltar el mal trato recibido por parte de la enfermera Esther Carreño. Me gustaría que leyera el comentario reflexionara sus formas de tratar sin entrar en tema de enfermería que es nefasto. Tratas con personas humanas no lo olvides, no somos muñecos. Tampoco quiero que este comentario sea todo negativo. Felicitar a las dietistas que pasan planta por su trato excelente, siempre buscando la mejor opción a pesar de las restricciones. Comida muy buena. Y demás enfermeros y auxiliares que me atendieron en otros servicios. De la planta 2 sintiendo mucho sólo me llevo malos recuerdos. Aunque no todos fueron así.

Excellent hospital

Arrived at the hospital (Puerto del carmen) on 6/4/25, my wife (June) had bad eye infections due to a fall. Our first contact at the hospital was Alex, an interpreter, who was very professional and proved to be a 'god send' that made the whole process simple and kept us upto date on day to day affairs. The staff are professional, polite and very helpful and supportive. The doctors are exceptionally professional and practised a wide range of medical knowledge.

I cannot give this hospital any stars.. My husband currently is in severe critical care and may not survive. We were in the Dominican Republic on January 31/25 and stayed at the Dreams Royal Palm Beach and he contracted a Flesh Eating Baceria on this foot after getting out of the hot tub on the balcony at Dreams Royal Palm in Punta Cana- he knicked his toe and the bacteria entered. The next morning his foot was swollen and infected - and one toe purple. I took him to the Doctor on the resort and she said we needed to be taken to HOSPITEN BAVARO - which we went to immediately. As soon as we arrived we were admitted - my husband was given an IV antibiotic treatment - and was told it was only due to his diabetis. Nothing was done for the infection on his foot - only an oral ointment and it was wrapped == they did not diagnosis him with Necrotizing Fasciitis -- which is a very rapid moving flesh eating bacteria of the tissue with a 36 hour turn around time which he contracted at Dreams Royal Palm. They held him at the hospital until the next day- would not let me leave until they keep charging my American Express card -- he had no treatment the second day -- we were trying to get out of this clinique and they kept delaying = saying billing was underway -- no treatment was given to my husband after 10am of the day of departure but their invoice said 30 treatments - I asked them to please discharge us and provide a wheel chair - and they refused. I finally got him a wheel chair on may own that I found in the hallway and we took a taxi back to the Dreams Royal Palm. We then got aboard a plane the next day and I took him into the emergency room immediately . The ER doctor said he contracted a Flesh Eating Bacteria - diagnosed him properly and put him into surgery right away -- he then underwent 2 surgeries - one with the immediate removal of all of toes on his left foot , the next with the removal of his left foot. He is still in critical care- they are still giving him major antibiotics to monitor the infection he got at Dreams Royal Palm from the water/hotub. I do not know if he is going to survive this -- but had Hospiten diagnosed him improperly -- they just said it was an infection --NOT a flesh eating infection that has a 36 hour turnaround time. It has been a true nightmare. Hospiten kept us there for 8 hours for billing on the day of discharge - and not proper diagnosis and kept charging for bogus charges when he was not even getting any treatment. I hope my husband survives -- please do not go to this hospital -- clinic - whatever it is -- beware . Please -- beware. I hope my husband survives this -- the hotel staff also for referring us need to be accountable. Beware of Dream Royal Palm in Punta Cana for not having sanitary environment and for referring us to Hospiten Bavaro.
