Useless
Bought some festoon lights for outside, they were installed correctly, however they only lasted 3 weeks.
Home Bargains has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and quality, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.

I visited the ashington branch. The store was airy and clean . After I selected my goods off I went to the checkout. There were a couple of ladies in front of me and they were greeted with a hello by the checkout lady called jenna. .she was friendly and polite to them and even said thank you. Then it came to my turn what a jekyll and Hyde. I got no greeting I was giving no eye contact I got no please or thank you she was only interested in getting another member of staff on the tills so was talking to her colleague while zapping my products? 2 star service and that's being generous
I visit Home Bargains earlier this afternoon in Albany Road Cardiff, 1 of your staff name Luke ( he maybe a supervisor ) wearing red shirt walked in front of me when me and my son was looking at the shelf to see what drinks to buy, what he could have done is walked behind us and he did not even say 'sorry' or 'excuse me' for doing that, I found that is kind of 'rude' attitude towards customers. You know I work in retail myself so that kind of behaviour is not acceptable.
No school cakes or giant monster munch. Absolutely raging. Not acceptable. This place is terrible.

Whilst I was in store a van drove into, and damaged, my car, then drove off. A witness reported the registration number to the manager but the manager refused to give me the details. TJ Morris (the owner of Home Bargains) after multiple requests over the course of 2 months repeatedly refused to give the registration to Aviva (my insurer), myself AND the police when requested by each citing GDPR. Even though all parties pointed out this was a Hit & Run criminal offence, so GDPR is not relevant, still they refused to give the registration to anyone. CCTV was provided but everything bar my car was blurred. Useless without a way to identify the driver of the van. Consequently I am now having to foot the bill for damage not caused by me and refusal to give information to the police in the pursuit of a criminal investigation. Avoid Home Bargains stores or else if your vehicle is damaged, it's on you

Very disappointed in this franchise. I normally spend an average of £50 per week here but totally lost my enthusiasm when not even the middle of September, they are offering Christmas merchandise. Absolutely gobsmacked!!! Who makes these stupid decisions???

Aisles constantly blocked by stock cages awaiting unloading. Staff stocking trolleys in many aisles. Restricted access for wheelchair or mobility cart users, blocked means of escape in an emergency for all customers and staff. When raised with customer service they said this was an infrequent issue and quickly cleared. This was not true! Manager in-store confirms that there is no room for stock in warehouse. Obstruction continues over this week.

o use as bedding and for a snack. She has a hutch and an indoor cage for overnight. I put the straw in her indoor cage and by the next day there lots of little “bugs” in it. The rabbit (and some bugs in a pot) went to the vet. They were straw mites apparently. She’s had to have anti bug gel on her neck and we had to throw all of her toys that could harbour bugs away. The manageress was polite but all she could offer me was a £2 refund. My vets bill alone was more than 20 times that. Please be careful. I did put some damp straw in a sealed pot to check it was the straw that was the source of the bugs. It was. Well it’s now 10 days later. Home Bargains still have Wilkinson Pest Free Harvest Straw on their shelves in the Darlington store and their head office have offered me a £30 voucher as a gesture of good will. That won’t even cover the vets bill

Awful service, don't order online with this company, you won't get your goods, and they don't reply to your emails, they need to change their strategy, extremely poor service will never use again and advise everyone to do the same. The items i ordered are for part of a display for my daughter's wedding all other display items i have ordered online from other companies have arrived apart from Home Bargains. They have breached their terms and conditions, which clearly states delivery within 5 working days, been waiting over two weeks, i have asked them to send next day delivery but they refuse to do so, no customer service whatsoever. Lowest of the low.

I recently bought a £17 mop, I have never paid £17 for a mop before but this one looked like fun! I brought it home but couldn't fit it together, I felt a bit stupid taking it back to the shop and saying I couldn't figure out how to put it together. The lady on the till Ruth was lovely and called Rhiannon over, she took everything out of the box for me and tried to put it together, turns out I'm not stupid it was missing a bit 😁, she then went to get another one and opened the box and put it together to make sure it worked. I want to thank you all at Holywell shop so much for not making me feel stupid and being so kind 😊
