Five Star Properties and Bliss Beach Rentals

The house we stayed in was beautiful but the main fridge did not work, they were waiting on a part to come in. So we had to go down stairs and out to garage each time we wanted something from the fridge. My parents toilet didn’t flush so we had to call maintenance to fix it. My sister’s toilet handle was hanging, maintenance had to fix that. Wifi was completely out for 5 of the 6 days we were there. Maintenance got us a new router but it still didn’t work. And we saw 1 dead roach in my sisters restroom and one live roach on the stairs. Not the best experience at all. My husband would like a credit or some type of refund for all the hastles.

We loved our stay at Looking Glass, the house is definitely better than the pictures! Everything was beautiful the house was spotless when we arrived. Checking in was so easy, just punched in a code and we where in. The house was stocked with anything you would need for a beach stay, towels, beach toys for the kids, bikes, beach umbrellas and chairs, two sets of washer/dryers. They really did think of everything. We have absolutely zero complaints, we’ve already recommended this place to friends and we can’t wait to come back ourselves.

Huge house super clean can’t wait to go back perfect house for the family size we are. Love we had access to a private beach thanks! Love the privacy of the pool also. We’ll be there next time

Everything was very beautiful we had a lovely time. There were other family in the community that was nice the pool was relaxing the kids stayed in there sun up to sun down.The house was cleaned and nice will rent again with your properties.

Great house, location, amenities and staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the property and Five Star did a great job before, during, and after our stay.

We had a wonderful stay in Emerald Dunes 103 August 22-29, 2020. There were just a few things that made the stay not quite as perfect as we’d hoped. First, the entire condo was fairly clean and well kept, but in need of a good deep cleaning and a once over - the kitchen faucet was loose, the master shower tile needed a good scrub, and all decor and lighting needed to be cleaned, etc. I imagine this was due to our stay being at the end of the summer season. Second, the TV remotes were very frustrating to figure out - a universal remote or a simple note left for renters about what goes to what would be VERY helpful. Third, the location of this condo is directly behind the main elevator and on the other side of the elevator is the pool. It is LOUD. You can clearly hear people talking in the pool or at the elevator from the far end of the condo. While this wasn’t a huge inconvenience, it was a little annoying and did wake our young children up several times. Finally, the AC went out on the 5th night of our stay and maintenance came the following day. It could not be fixed. On the 6th night of our stay, we were given the option of trying to move to another unit or having window units brought in for each bedroom. We opted for the window units as we only had 2 nights left and it was already late into the day. The units did cool off the condo, but they were very loud and brought in a terrible sewer smell. Thankfully this was at the end of our stay!!! I do want to note that the management company was GREAT and called to check on us several times and were VERY apologetic. They worked as quickly as they could to resolve the problem. Enough of the negative - There are also a LOT of positive things about this condo!! The layout is well thought out, the decor is inviting, the linens were very clean, the view is beautiful, the beach service is so convenient, the ability to walk directly out the patio to the beach access is SO nice with young children and older adults, and the pool is great. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would consider returning! We have stayed in several different Emerald Dunes condos and love the area of Crystal Beach - it is always less crowded than anywhere else we’ve been in the Destin area! You are still close to shopping, great restaurants (Camille’s across the street is our favorite!), and plenty of activities without being right in the middle of crowded Destin beaches. Hope this is helpful for future renters!

The home was beautiful. However the home was not clean. They charged us $750 for a cleaning fee. The house should have been spotless but was not. Floors had sand on them, there was a used cloth mask hanging on a bench upon entry. The kitchen counter tops were dirty as well. The oven was not clean. Handprints all over sliding glass doors in the kitchen area. The vacuum Hoses were left on the outside patio. The outside coach had tons of spots on it and was completely worn out. We were told we would have two rolls of toilet tissue in each bathroom but we only had one. The outside pool bathroom was not cleaned at all. Sand and trash on the ground and no toilet paper. All lamps were unplugged and all Remote control backs were missing. A family even came and got in our pool and when called told us to call police. Our garage doors were open one morning and we never opened them. It was a beautiful home but the amount we paid and it to be in this shape shows us that either five star never came out to check the cleanliness or whoever did certainly did not look That hard. We have used five star the last three times and have never experienced this. We called about the cleanliness and the lady took Everything done and told us to not be there but the only thing they did was maybe wipe countertops and sweep the floor. This is during covid and they said they had high standards because of it and this was not followed at all. We were also told they had banners across the beds showing us that they were changed and sanitizer and it was only on one bed there. Highly disappointed!!

First let me say, we've never had a sweeter vacation. We stayed in Bottoms Up with extended family, and we loved the location. The house left quite a bit to be desired. We laughed at the house being called "Bottoms Up" because there was not a comfortable seat in the place. The sofas should have been given away about a year prior to our stay, so they were just the most uncomfortable things. Regardless, again, the location is very nice, and we had a great time anyway. When we had problems with the house, Five Star was good to quickly take care of what they could for us.

This home was beautiful! Wonderful location, spacious rooms and modern decor! It had everything we needed and then some!! Can’t wait to come back next year!

The house was beautiful and great location. Had a couple issues when we were there and Gibe Star took care of them immediately.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The home was clean, beautiful and in a great location with golf cart included. I thought they could have made it available before 4pm as it was clean and available. Also, we would’ve enjoyed more chairs on the decks.

The accommodation was nice and the property management was ok , but the parking was not as advertised. It was listed as a 4 car parking area, but it would only take 3 cars and there was no 4 spots for overflow Parking that was always full for the whole complex....

Five Star Properties were the greatest to work with. Our Seas the Day unit they helped us with at Grandview was perfect for our family reunion. They were available to make sure we had everything we needed. We did, and more ......thank you . Lani Sanborn - date of Stay Sept 2nd-6th.

Would recommend staying here, so perfect.

We were disappointed that The Watchtower property at Rosemary Beach, listed as a home that sleeps 20, actually sleeps 18. Two of our group had no place to sleep. Four were on pull-out sofas, one of which was broken. Upon arrival, we were also unable to get the cars into the garage as the code did not work. The beach chair rental code was also incorrect. The house has a very vertical layout and is not equipped or conducive to host as many guests as described.

We had a wonderful stay and can not wait to return to Dolphin Watch. We had a minor issue but was addressed immediately. A few recommendations to make for the owners to make it absolutely perfect in every way. Upgrade to larger smart TVs in all rooms including the living room. This would be an inexpensive upgrade. Also the patio furniture was uninviting and definitely could use a newer updated set other than the pvc furniture . The carpets are due for replacing as well. All other upgrades were fabulous !!!

Wonderful place to stay! Very close to the beach. Wonderful pool and amenities. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely lovely property! Perfect for our family and we are booking it again!
