Front and back doors
I recently had 2 doors installed and am very happy with the finished product, everyone I dealt with were polite and helpful. The installers did a great job and left with minimal mess I definitely recommend

Friendly, professional and very tidy. The new windows are perfect. They are a fantastic product.
We have had 9 windows done, and the front and back doors all replaced. The work was completed on time with no problems, as the installers were of the highest standards. The quality of the product has made a big difference to the value of our house, so I would personally like to thank Mike Charnell, Jordan Harris, and Jaz Powar, for their excellent installation work that they carried out in three hot days, so thank again and we are very pleased with the result
The team that provided the installation of my windows and doors were Iuian Mindru and Michael Baker. They were very polite and professional. Nothing was too much trouble for them . When the installation was complete they went through the whole process of how everything worked. It was a pleasure to have them work on my property.I would also like to thank Dean Lazel for thoroughly and professionally helping me through the process.

Our 8 windows and front door were fitted in 2 days by 2 hard working, polite fitters Steve and Tadas. They kept us constantly informed about what was happening and would ensure we were happy with progress. They did a great job in tidying up at the end of the job. The front door has completely transformed the front of our house, and our worries of the natural light being reduced in our hallway have been totally removed; in fact the clean white interior door and side panel have brightened the area. There has definitely been a noise reduction as we have quite a few heavy vehicles go along the road near our home and draughts have greatly reduced.. I'm sure this be be noticed more in the winter. The windows have been finished with a clean white 'trim', unsure of correct name to hide any marks or damage to surround during fitting. The only thing that we are unhappy with is the width of this trim as it covers a considerable width of the sill which could possibly cause an issue standing anything on the sill. When we questioned this, it was fully explained why it was this width. Maybe, this is an item that needs to be explained prior to installation as there are different widths of this 'trim',of which theirs is the wider. Overall, we are very very happy with our windows and love our new front door!
The installation team were very professional. The work was carried out with little to no fuss. All works have been snagged and works have been accepted. May we also add the 2 men in question where absolutely the best installation team we have had the pleasure to meet. Installation team names as follows : Colin Jefferson & Tony Thay. Well done team First Home Improvements.
The rudest company me and my husband have ever come into contact with. It took us over 6 weeks for an actual rep to come round after multiple cancelled appointments and confusion between 2 branches (one cancellation was from us due to an emergency appointment at hospital). Then when we finally had a rep round to have “a no obligation quote” he was nothing but rude and forceful on us to make a decision on the spot for thousands of £ worth of work. When he didn’t get us to agree to the work on the spot he stormed out of our house in a huff. Then when I called up to make a complaint about the rep and asked what will happen with our 2 year fixed price quote they said they will send it to me. When I questioned them saying they don’t even have my email address to send the quote I got an ”ohh right”. Lost our business that’s for sure. We wouldn’t have waited weeks for this appointment if we weren’t interested but I'm certainly not going to cripple my family into debt or start a finance plan without making sure it’s something we can afford to do. We liked the idea of the 2 year fixed price but it’s not worth it now.
A Very friendly and efficient process from start to finish. Justin and Finlay worked professionally and tirelessly until the job was finished.
Arrived on time, did a fantastic job, cleaned up after, very thorough, grateful for a cupper, Ref126400
All staff that I came into contact with from sales person, fitters and customer service were very polite and understanding. At no point did I feel pressured into purchasing the product and they found ways to make it affordable for me. The work was completed at a time that suited me and was carried out efficiently and work area was left as clean as when they arrived. I am happy with the work and wouldn’t hesitate employing them again for future work.
We were referred to FHI via the Help to Buy scheme who then pass on a promotional private discount. I eventually relented after lots of calls and agreed to an appointment. It was supposed to be with a person called Jay but a Nina arrived. She was bristly from the off as only my husband was home and apparently she needed us both there to ramble at so I was made to rush home from my errands as she refused to continue to speak to him without me. Ridiculous, he's perfectly capable. I should add, we had cloudy 2 clear out to quote just replacing the glass and a local company out to quote the cost to replace windows. They measure, we pick, they quote. Done in 30 min tops. Nina was here for over TWO AND A HALF HOURS AND REFUSED TO LEAVE. We told her several times we would not be buying from her because after her marketing spiel which took forever (and let's be honest, no one cares about the branding history, product changes, and birthdays of a company and if we did we can Google it). Our kids were delirious with fatigue and we'd been clear she needed to wrap things up by 6.30pm and this was agreed to but she refused to take no for an answer. Deliberately trying to bamboozle and bombard, when we refused the 27k quote, she eventually dropped to 13k if we agreed to sign a non disclosure agreement, agree to never tell neighbours what we paid, have a board outside the house for several months etc. She also tried to get away without telling us how much we'd actually end up paying was over 24k so there was no real discount at all, and she had be persuaded to share the true figure (and i don't believe she would have been honest without me pushing for this). She made a phone call to her colleague about us in front of us which was uncomfortable to watch and still would not leave when I tried to put our children to bed. I ended up pretending to call my dad and saying he refused to pay and she started to talk about him in a derogatory way and demanding to know what he said - none of her business. My husband had to put his foot down and tell her AGAIN no sale was happening tonight (it was gone 8pm. She arrived shortly after 5pm). I was minutes away from calling the police to have her removed. The whole promise of a "free no obligation quote" is quite frankly inaccurate. I cannot believe anyone would behave that way and be okay with it. The distress caused that evening was monumental for us and our children. I read the reviews of pushy sales but thought I could handle it as I have in the past but this was another level I would never have expected. I'd avoid anyway based on the fact FHI would have made a profit at 27k and 13k and have no morals to their sales tactics. I should add, having seen brochures for 3 different companies - they're offering the same thing. Doors are identical, prices are not. Shop around and leave these guys off your list of contenders.
The consultation started off well with someone coming to us for 17:30. The lady was very friendly. We were shown a sample window which did seem good quality and had some good features. However, we were told on the phone that the appointment would be 1 hour - 1 and a half hours. She ended up being at our house for 3 and a half hours….. luckily we brought the appointment forward as initially they were meant to come at 19:30!!! The first 2 and a half hours were just her telling us about the company, making us watch some videos and showing us this window. Throughout the whole thing we just wanted to know a price. We finally had the windows measured and she did us a quote…. £38K!! Which she dropped to £34K with us agreeing to have some photos taken and a sign up outside the house for advertisement! We thought she was quite oppressive with giving us the quote and felt that there was an expectation to sign up at the time. When I said I wasn’t going to just sign up on the spot to £34K and we wanted to talk about it in private, she called her manager who miraculously could drop it down to £14K as a ‘one off’ and we had to agree and sign on the spot. Again, I said I absolutely wouldn’t be doing this and we wanted to talk/think about it so the offer was taken away. You can quite easily see how the vulnerable/elderly are taken advantage of and would sign up to this thinking they have a great deal that they don’t want to miss out on. What company can go from 38K to 14K with it being legit!?!? 3 and a half hours in we were absolutely drained and hadn’t even eaten dinner yet by 9pm and we were both left feeling very frustrated and disappointed. The whole purpose of going through the help 2 buy scheme is to save money and it’s all one big scam with sales advisors who just pressure you into trying to sign up to crazy amounts of money on the spot. Unfortunately no matter how good the windows are and the ‘discounts’ which are provided, I wouldn’t recommend unless you want to waste hours of your evening and pay £500 a month for the next 10 years for some new windows.
