sliding doors fitted
Had sliding doors fitted. 5 star service. Workers were very friendly and did a great job, leaving no mess whatsoever. Will definately use this company again for any home improvements

Could not fault the company at all. From having Chris round to talk through the windows, then the surveyor, followed by prep work by the builder Raz and then the installing of the windows by Mark & Kevin. Had no issues, they worked professional, respecting the property and very clean workers. They are not pushy unlike Anglian Windows and this is the first time using EYG.
EDIT - after posting they started to do things as per agreed. Ordered works costs 33,000 with EYG, there were the cheapest firm to quote by £2,000 by so this should this is not quote that is too cheap for the works etc. sadly its impossible to get them to actually perform and start work or even provide a start date as apparently there are issues with my order which sales need to resolve but never action.
It started off okay. I ordered windows through them but quickly realised that they are very pushy with sales. Salesperson made me order and pay then and there to get the ‘best deal’ and also wanted a man available, my partner, which I found extremely sexist and worrying. Got some sliding doors from them which were half fitted and left in a sorry state. I had to chase up months after to get this sorted which took two attempts to get right. Door wasn’t the right size which was disappointing. Since then I haven’t wanted to use them but I am getting cold called consistently on a weekly basis. Asked them to take me off from their contacts list which still has not been done.

Door was fitted well but the fitter broke the glass panel. It has taken several weeks for the glass to be replaced but that was done quickly and efficiently. Everything was left clean and tidy with the fitter removing everything that had been replaced.

This is a brief review of our experience with EYG. Our installation started on 15th March 2021 ... and so began our fiasco with EYG. We ordered x5 replacement windows and a composite front door. We asked for a low aluminium threshold composite door, this was discussed with the salesman and we also showed him the one that we already have on our back door. Instead we were sent a upvc threshold composite door, which they told us was the upvc low threshold! We pointed out that this was not the threshold that we ordered. We were then told that the reason they didn't fit the aluminium threshold was because grass grows in the groove! The wrong door knocker was sent, so we had to wait for a new one to be ordered. There has been 2 attempts at fitting the door knocker, resulting in x2 sets of holes drilled in the door slab, let's hope its 3rd time lucky when a new door knocker finally arrives. When we placed our order back in October 2020, we never expected that we would still be waiting for the work to be completed, nor did we imagine that we would have to argue and fight for the work to be completed to what was discussed at the time of ordering. Poor communication and lack of attention to detail throughout.

Doors and windows ordered Dec 2020 for installation over 3 days mid March. Only the windows arrived and unloaded on day 1, then fitters left. not surprisingly 2 days were not long enough to fit just the windows, another day added on. Workmanship absolutely dreadful. 2 months later doors fitted again with poor workmanship. Original fitter back to sort but didn't and still some items unsatisfactory (window sills and window caps damaged plus sealant!!!!). New fitter sorted most faults but needed to come back with new bay window sill and new window cap. Fitter came back and sorted bay window sill but new window cap damaged. Eventually another fitter installed new window cap and sorted cosmetic damage to window frames. I was immediately presented with the bill! The windows and doors installation took from March to November 2021 to complete! I have not itemised every fault as there were too many to mention and you would probably have stopped reading.

The fitters broke two units when they were fitted which meant that although new units were installed 2 weeks later it delayed the painting and restoring the room to use, whether this was the fault of the surveyor’s measurements or the fitters I do not know but it was a pain. Otherwise the windows were fine.

A tricky job replacing 2 windows in the attic that both leaked. The new windows look great and there is no further sign of any water making its way in. A job well done.

Quality of product good, but one of the fitters broke a garden planter and neglected to inform me. They also broke a pane on one of the windows, which I accept can happen to anyone, but when I arranged an appointment to have it replaced, I was not informed that I had to book a call to let me know when the fitter would arrive. I have never had to do this with any other company, it's always been done as standard, as a courtesy.

I am pleased with my new conservatory roof. The job was done as per the agreed schedule over two days. The fitting team turned up on time worked hard and cleaned up after. The lads were always happy to answer any questions I had. Since the job was completed I have noticed a few minor issues. I have a small drip from a gutter joint. The box gutter is holding water, ie no fall, so this may leak in the future and the joints are within my conservatory. The other issue is that my house tiles have not gone back as they came off to fit the box gutter. I have had to fill the gap at one end with pipe insulation to stop water ingress under my tiles. I will take up these issues with EYG in due course.
