Dixons Estate Agents has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate professional and service, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.

Dixons Erdington, are a subsidiary of Countrywide run from their Warwick office. They provided abysmal management of my property. They missed 10 inspections over 5 years, lost the original contract, failed to handle tenant communications and their convoluted processes lead to repeated mistakes. Manager Raza Muhammad ignored my correspondence, was borderline aggressive when spoken to on the phone (the single time he spoke to me) and failed to provide the requested Terms of Business or confirm a move-out inspection, leaving me unaware of my property’s condition for re-letting. The branch was inexplicably closed during opening hours when I arrived to collect my keys, despite prior notification. The complaints department then made a series of derisory compensation offers putting their own interests before their customers. Completely unprofessional, always act like they’re doing you a favour, despite the fact you pay them for services they fail to fulfil. Use the lettings services if you are content that the Terms of Business you sign will be lost and misrepresented at every opportunity so they don’t have to do their job. Terrible.
Harassed my sister with multiple relentless calls after we went with another local estate agent for the sale of my mother’s house after her death. Despite telling them we were in a contract with another estate agent they did not stop and my sister blocked them.
Had arranged two viewings through Dixons (Quinton) - for the first viewing the agent told me only 15 minutes before the viewing that she was going to be 15 minutes late (I was already on my way), I arrived only to find out eventually that she was actually 45 minutes late, when we called to try and find out where she was our calls to the Dixon’s office continually rang through to voicemail. We (stupidly) arranged a second viewing a week later - this one was in my work lunch hour which I had made clear, I only had a small time frame to view the property. Once again the agent was 15 minutes late and once again my calls went unanswered - she eventually rang me to tell me she had arrived at which point I had already given up and started walking home. We received no apology. An overall atrocious customer experience with a lack of care and respect for people’s time.

When moving house the estate agents are a very important part of keeping a stress free part of the process. Vicki & Dan at Dixon’s Solihull we both excellent from beginning to end, we couldn’t fault them always professional and friendly with nothing too much trouble. We sold quickly and advised to used their Countrywide Conveyancing services, Simon Owen our solicitor was very efficient and things were dealt with in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them and use again in the future.

I had a viewing booked at 5PM for a property to rent they advertised on Rightmove as fully furnished at £ 725 pcm. At 4:53PM I was already on my way to view the flat, when I got a call from them saying that the price changed because I've asked for the property to be furnished and the new price was £ 800 pcm. Although I told them the property was already advertised as furnished, they even refused to meet me halfway at £ 750 pcm. Unfair trading, utter waste of time, I don't recommend.

We instructed Dixon’s to assist us in selling our property . From start to completion we received fantastic support and updates on our sale . The whole process was completed in less than 10 weeks . Dixon’s professionalism shined through with their negotiating skills and sales experience . We would like to say a great big thank you to Darren , Daniel , Jodie , Harvey and Tom for making our moving experience stress-free

Do not use Lichfield branch. Have recently sold to a cash buyer, so in a great position. Trying to view a property which they are marketing. The property is empty. Its been 3 days, still no call to arrange a viewing after emailing and calling. My house however was sold within 22 hours of being advertised. Sellers avoid if you want competance and a buyer.

Don't use the Dixons branch on Sutton New Road in Erdington Birmingham. You will not like the experience nor the stress in dealing these people who will lie about viewing figures, haggle you to drop your asking price with veiled threats of if you don't the next offer they get will be severely undervalued, and the looming sense they are not working for you but rather against you. Staff like Mathew Groves in the office as your point of call and Thomas Wilkes the housing agent that will misrepresent your options and take every opportunity to insult you and your home if you turn the pressure up on them doing a dreadful job. In my case my house was on the market for almost a year with the relationship ultimately in the toilet with this horrible branch. I had to drop my asking price by more than £15,000 even though on the many house selling websites my postcode property and similar properties in the area had been selling at full asking price. The penny dropped when a woman was introduced to me to view my house and found out she was a Dixons housing agent attempting to scam me with a low ball offer which unfortunately paid off for them as I tried other estate agents in the area and I believe I was already blacklisted by Dixons as they wanted nothing to do with my house sale unless they were selling it at a ridiculous low asking price. I sold with Dixons and to that woman who I believe ended up flipping my property after a year back at full price. Corruption exists, just stay away from Dixons at Erdington.

Please beware this agent does not always manage properties on behalf of the landlord. Dixons (Halesowen) collected fees from us for not reason or service provided to us and then left us on our own to deal with a rogue landlord who often ignored his part of maintaining the house in good time. It had been a nightmare tenancy through Dixons Letting Agents Halesowen.

I used the Birmingham City Centre branch. All started well. We had the valuation done by a very professional agent who told that we could achieve X price on the sale of my flat and would probably sell within 2 months. We had an offer of 15k below asking price and a different agent (Ian) who now handled our case was very annoyed that we wouldn't accept that and implied that the flat had been overvalued. Once we had an offer at asking and accepted it, it turns out that he had told every viewer that due to a 20yr doubling clause in the lease that the flat would be difficult to buy and require a deed if variation, but no problem as I had apparently agreed to pay for this in full myself, even though I didn't agree to this at all. This eventually cost me a grand total of £6k in solicitors and admin fees to our freeholder. We spoke to other people who had sold in the building recently and they said that they hadnt required a DOV. At every stage Ian was very illusive and hard to pin down to facts, whenever a hard conversation needed to be had he suddenly had people arrive to 'collect keys' or he would have to run off for a photoshoot leaving the call. Genuinely some of the most hostile and agressive customer service I have ever received in my life. The buyer then after THREE MONTHS decided to change lender and solicitor (the solicitor that Ian had personally recommended) on Ian's advice and he had not consulted me about the change at all, blaming me for everything he could. It honestly felt like he was working for the buyer and not me. All in all, extremely poor and hostile service. It improved dramatically after Ian mysteriously left the branch and his role was taken on by someone else who was able to give the buyer a push, that is the only reason I tacked on a second star.

Don't answer the phone, dont get back to you when i was obviously interested in a property, ignores messages left for a return call, then sells without even contacting me to see if I wanted to put an offer in, feel sorry for the sellers might have got a better offer, I wouldn't use them to sell my house
