DC Law is exceptionally well-rated by customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about communication and customer service.

I was purchasing a house and was on a tight deadline for when I needed to move in. All of my friends told me that based on their own experiences there was no way. But Caitlin and DC Law made it happen
The task of moving & all that goes with it is pretty much a roller coaster of emotions and stressful. This is only made easier by having a Conveyancer like Christopher Stones who is professional & on piont with all that's to be dealt with. I highly recommend Christopher & should I ever need a Conveyancer DC law are the only firm i would consider. kind regards & many thanks Peter Morris.
An Excellent experience and Chris is a superb Conveyancer. He will be recommended to my family and friends.

Do not consider using this firm. Do not do business with anyone using this firm. I repeat: it is an absolute imperative that you have nothing to do with them, or any other Simplify brand. Do not read other reviews, do not look at their website, just move on. If you have already instructed them, no matter how many months it has been, just move on. I know, you've already paid them money: trust me, just move on. The problem is not individual conveyancers. I got the sense mine was actually a perfectly decent and nice person, on the rare occasions I got to talk to him. They simply suffer from such diabolical institutional rot that the entire enterprise cannot function.

I received the keys to my first property today, through which I used DC Law as the conveyancers. Esther Reid was assigned to my case file and I have been very impressed with the service I have received. As this is my first property, I had no idea what to expect but any expectations I did have were greatly exceeded. Although the process was evidently sped up by zero chain on either my side or the sellers, I found Esther at DC Law to be very efficient. As a nurse I tried to keep in mind that often as professionals people do not quite appreciate the work that goes on behind the scenes, I accepted the process could take a while and its exactly that, a process that requires work at each stage and although for some this can feel long and drawn out, it felt anything but to me. I instructed DC Law through my mortgage advisor and I am glad I didn't read the reviews as they do not reflect the experience that I have had. The process is of course stressful and it creates a period of unease and uncertainty, however this is not reflective of the work that the conveyancers do. Esther was professional but approachable, kept me updated regularly and was very thorough in her practice. Thank you very much Esther! Keep doing what you're great at.

To say that i am unhappy with this company is an understatement. Completed a probate sale of my mothers house and received notice ( a letter) stating the funds had been sent to our Probate Solicitors, along with a financial statement. When i spoke with the Probate solicitors it transpired that the funds had not been received, Despite our Probate solicitors numerous attempts to find out why, no one from DC Law has replied to her emails or voicemails. I took it upon myself to telephone them only to be told that the 'Accounts department' had not sent the funds . I asked why , however the agent did not know but promised find out. I can't understand why a company like DC Law would send a letter stating they had sent the funds when they have not, particularly as the sale has been completed and the new owners are in possession of the house. Really really poor customer service. I was assured someone would get back to me however, i am very sceptical about this, hence me leaving this review (seems like they only respond when a review is left) . The whole sale has been problematic as the buyers solicitors and the Estate Agents also had problems with DC Law not engaging with them and I have had to send emails prompting the conveyancer to engage with them . I have my own job so why do i feel i am doing their work for them? I was foolish enough to complete the customer satisfaction survey stating i was 'fairly happy' (i expressed reservations as well) with them on completion day which is the same day I received the letter stating the funds had been transferred because i actually believed they had carried out the transaction. if I could retract that survey I completed, I would. I have sent an email to DC Law's complaints department only to receive an automated reply stating it will take up to 28 days to address my complaint! unbelievable! How they got 4 stars on Trustpilot is beyond me. Update: No surprise I received a response to my review! Dc Law are now trying to retain all the proceeds of the sale claiming it is relevant to inheritance tax. The sale of my mother's house was on excess of £500k therefore according to UK law there should be no inheritance tax claimed on this amount as the property has passed from parent to child. There should be zero reason to retain this money. Apart from the fact that they claimed to have sent the funds to the probate solicitor (when they hadn't), I received an email this morning claiming my probate solicitor agreed to this, which she didn't. The email was full of legal jargon, which I suppose was meant to confuse me, which it actually didn't. It has just enraged me even more as I know the inheritance tax law (easy to look up on the .Gov website). This seems to me as a simple case a theft. We are owed these funds, and DC LAW has no right to retain it. They are messing our probate solicitor around by 'escalating' this issue to a manager who seems incapable of just dealing with the issue swiftly. I will be reporting these scam artists to the legal ombudsman and possibly the SRA . Outrageous conduct!

DC Law is top-notch. They provided an excellent service with fast, real-time responses. Their team is smart, understanding, and action-oriented, making my experience truly outstanding. They are true professionals. My conveyancer, Tanisha Royston offered first-class treatment throughout the process. It was a smooth journey from start to finish, with great value and exceptional service. There were no lapses—just a focused, goal-driven approach. Working with them felt like a jet ride to success.

We have been trying to complete on a property (that has no chain) for weeks and DC Law are making this very difficult. They take days, even weeks, to reply to emails and don't speak on the phone. Extremely frustrating for everyone and would not recommend the company at all due to the horrendous response times.

Emma Hill at DC Law was fantastic during the selling of my flat at the purchase of my new property. She maintained great communication with us throughout the process and really went above and beyond to help us secure our dream home. We can’t thank her enough for all she did and would absolutely recommend her to anyone who is buying or selling a property.

Jennifer Oakes guided us through our house sale. She provided a human interface to an otherwise internet driven solution. We were kept informed with phone calls and emails and Jenny provided answers to our queries very quickly. The system accommodates a change of buyer without much duplication and effort and eventually we achieved a successful sale. Thank you
