Our experience with Conveyancing Direct was a total letdown. It felt like we were completely in the dark, especially as first-time buyers, thanks to their lousy communication. Going through the complaints process, we were constantly brushed off, pretty much putting all of the blame on us for not magically understanding a process we hired them to guide us through. One of the most frustrating things was receving all of the crucial documents we needed, including the fixture and fittings form, DAYS before exchanging. Most of these documents were dated four months prior to this but apparently that's completely normal to be unaware of the details of the house you are buying until it's too late? I know solicitors are typically slow and require you to chase a lot, but when the company are failing to reply to complaints within their own 'prescribed time frame', you know something is wrong. And when they eventually did, they managed to send it to the wrong email addresses entirely - superb attention to detail. If you are purchasing through Connells and have been connected to this company, don't do it. Just Google a well-reviewed local solicitors and use them. Our sellers were also using Conveyancing Direct and we thought it would make the whole process smoother, but I don't think they were handled by the same office, let alone the same team/person. And if they were, I have absolutely no idea how they can manage it so poorly as the reason we were forced to exchange so quickly at the end of the process was due to how frustrated the seller was with them too. There's plenty more we could mention, but in short: avoid them at all costs. The endless bad reviews speak for themselves.
Me and my partner have had a very good time with this company our solicitor Tom Mclaren-Roberts has been such a star always available when we have questions and was always quick at completing everything we needed
I just want to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for all the support and dedication you've shown me throughout this journey. I truly appreciate the time you've spent answering my calls and guiding me, no matter how many times I reached out. Your patience, professionalism, and steadfast commitment have made a significant impact, and I’m genuinely grateful for everything you've done. Thanks again for everything! This review goes out for Tom Mclaren-Roberts. From mr and mrs Momoh

4 months to remortgage, equity transfer and transfer the property into my ex-wife’s name!! Talking to many other solicitors it appears that even with COVID this is a straightforward process, CD have managed to make this as complicated as humanly possible. Getting hold of the case handler, Tyler-jay is impossible. We have lost count of the number of times that we have asked for callbacks only to be ignored, she is not a reliable person to deal with and when questions are asked to her the answers given are not always confidence inspiring. As we speak this is due to complete today, however the expectation is that at the last minute something will crop up that causes it all to fall apart. To summarise, pay a little more and get a better service.

Thank you to Chris Arnold for doing such a fantastic job in getting completion on both properties over the line. I truly believe if not for you I would have lost the house I was buying.

Mia Griffiths is a star! Even if we had some issues from the beginning with this company and did not feel happy about it, once Mia took our case everything has improved! I understand it is Covid-19 in everyone ways and it makes things slow down, but this lady would not stop chasing up all up and updating us every time. Really professional and friendly service, thank you a lot! Mia is defiantly credit to this company :)

Connells sales package specified Conveyancing Direct and we used them for our sale and purchase of a new build in a far away area with separate completion dates. Very happy with all aspects and our lawyer was responsive and informative, always answering voicemails and queries promptly, which for us is a key necessity especially when there are no face to face meetings. Moving home in the Covid period was testing and a reliable lawyer proved essential. Fully recommend.

I didn't have a hand in instructing Conveyancing Direct as they were on the lender's panel. Multiple delays in acknowledging receipt of key documents, assigning a file, you'll not be rung back or responded to properly despite chasing, it's only because of putting in a complaint that anyone took notice - 100% would not have made the completion date otherwise. I'm not spending any more of my energy escalating things, which will suit them just fine, but for anyone considering actually paying money to use Conveyancing Direct's services, be well warned.

Sarah Stewart and her team provided a first class service. During our sale and purchase we actually had to withdraw from the purchase of one property and buy a different one - this was dealt with swiftly and without fuss. Always available to answer questions and deal promptly with issues, including chasing other parties’ solicitors who were not quite as responsive! Very smooth process.

They dropped the ball on more than one occasion during a simple sales process. Delayed important documentation and billed way over the agreed price. Watch out as they will remove their fees from the funds being handled. At one point they didn't know which solicitor was dealing with my sale. They send documentation second class not tracked. Surely that is just irresponsible. Finally, communication is kept to an absolute minimum. Advice would be to use a reputable solicitor rather than go for what appears to be a bargain fixed fee.
