Terrible company, shocking communication
Our experience with Conveyancing Direct was a total letdown. It felt like we were completely in the dark, especially as first-time buyers, thanks to their lousy communication. Going through the complaints process, we were constantly brushed off, pretty much putting all of the blame on us for not magically understanding a process we hired them to guide us through. One of the most frustrating things was receving all of the crucial documents we needed, including the fixture and fittings form, DAYS before exchanging. Most of these documents were dated four months prior to this but apparently that's completely normal to be unaware of the details of the house you are buying until it's too late? I know solicitors are typically slow and require you to chase a lot, but when the company are failing to reply to complaints within their own 'prescribed time frame', you know something is wrong. And when they eventually did, they managed to send it to the wrong email addresses entirely - superb attention to detail. If you are purchasing through Connells and have been connected to this company, don't do it. Just Google a well-reviewed local solicitors and use them. Our sellers were also using Conveyancing Direct and we thought it would make the whole process smoother, but I don't think they were handled by the same office, let alone the same team/person. And if they were, I have absolutely no idea how they can manage it so poorly as the reason we were forced to exchange so quickly at the end of the process was due to how frustrated the seller was with them too. There's plenty more we could mention, but in short: avoid them at all costs. The endless bad reviews speak for themselves.

Communication…you’ll be lucky
Didn’t want to leave a negative review but my patience has finally run out. Tried ringing again today and got the usual response they are on dinner and will ring you back. Heads up they never do ! Not responded to a single email I’ve sent. Communication is one way and that’s at a snails pace. I’m trying to buy and sell with them, never again They don’t even answer the estate agents who recommended them. I’ve sent a complaint letter today …. Let’s see if they respond to that .. I very much doubt it Honestly up there with the worst service I’ve ever had

Impeccable
Impeccable, knowledgeable, friendly and swift service from all at Conveyancing Direct brought my sale to contract only 20 days after the viewing. This was the fourth transaction they brought to conclusion for me, with four false starts, three purchase and one sale. The very reasonable charges are only levied on completion so impressive value. Very pleased to recommend and will use for any further requirements.

Slow, unresponsive, borderline incompetent
Conveyancing Direct have been the slowest conveyancers in our chain by a country mile. For the last 2 weeks they have been suggesting exchange and completion dates that get agreed by all other parties, only to find out that they weren't ready and need another document etc. etc. Their post room had issues where signed contracts went 'missing' for several days. They ignore emails and fob you off with excuses when requesting updates. Our chain is rather short, I feel for anyone having to deal with them in a longer chain. There are much better options out there.

Mortgage Transfer …
I’ve recently completed a mortgage transfer. Due to issues with Land Registration we were cutting it very fine to the end of the fixed rate expiry date. I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with Priya who was very understanding of the situation and gave me reassurance that she would do the necessary in a shorter time frame if needed. Every think was completely and I’m really thankful for your help. Being able to pick up the phone and speak to Priya really made the difference.

I recently bought a property and my estate agent recommended Conveyancing Direct. I am so glad they did, Ceri is absolutely amazing and handled every aspect of the sale to ensure it was as hassle free as possible, she was always available to answer any questions and got back to me within the hour. Conveyancing Direct was used for a remortgage with Skipton Building Society. The service was exceptional and fast, the process took less than a month from start to finish. The whole process was seamless, the whole process was managed and transparent using their on-line portal. The dash board showed the step by step process, verified when the stages were complete and signed documents were able to be posted to the portal. Seriously sleek, unbelievably professional with excellent communication, vie email and text. Thank you.
