Terrible company, shocking communication
Our experience with Conveyancing Direct was a total letdown. It felt like we were completely in the dark, especially as first-time buyers, thanks to their lousy communication. Going through the complaints process, we were constantly brushed off, pretty much putting all of the blame on us for not magically understanding a process we hired them to guide us through. One of the most frustrating things was receving all of the crucial documents we needed, including the fixture and fittings form, DAYS before exchanging. Most of these documents were dated four months prior to this but apparently that's completely normal to be unaware of the details of the house you are buying until it's too late? I know solicitors are typically slow and require you to chase a lot, but when the company are failing to reply to complaints within their own 'prescribed time frame', you know something is wrong. And when they eventually did, they managed to send it to the wrong email addresses entirely - superb attention to detail. If you are purchasing through Connells and have been connected to this company, don't do it. Just Google a well-reviewed local solicitors and use them. Our sellers were also using Conveyancing Direct and we thought it would make the whole process smoother, but I don't think they were handled by the same office, let alone the same team/person. And if they were, I have absolutely no idea how they can manage it so poorly as the reason we were forced to exchange so quickly at the end of the process was due to how frustrated the seller was with them too. There's plenty more we could mention, but in short: avoid them at all costs. The endless bad reviews speak for themselves.

I have to be honest, I only used Conveyancing Direct as they were a free service with my mortgage provider. I expected there would be sacrifices in the service as a result. But I was wrong. I was assigned Priya who made the whole experience a joy. From gaining the mortgage approval to closing, it only took 2 weeks. I will miss my email exchanges with Priya and wouldn't hesitate to use Conveyancing Direct again.

We used Conveyancing Direct when moving…
We used Conveyancing Direct when moving home. We had a buyer who became a bit of a nightmare. In excess of 100 questions, a lot being asked more than once. It got to the stage where I asked Sarah, who handled our Conveyancing, to give an ultimatum, basically, to put up or shut up. Sarah handled the buyer, and their solicitor, with calm firmness, and achieved a result. The buyer, then demanded on a Thursday morning that Exchange of Contracts take place by close of play, and Completion take place on the Friday! Putting aside the problems this caused me - packing, removal company etc., Sarah managed everything on the legal side with extreme efficiency and effected a timely conclusion. We cannot thank Conveyancing Direct, and Sarah in particular, for seeing us through an extremely stressful period

I’ve used this company for twenty years…
I’ve used this company for twenty years plus over multiple transactions and they’ve recently completed my latest property transaction. The service I received was second to none and my conveyancer Ola always kept me up to date and dealt with the process with due diligence. Thanks to her and the company definitely recommend and will use again

My personal thanks for the great service you have provided throughout the whole process with an efficient, fully reliable, no non-sense service which was on time and to the point. I found you were always there to answer all the questions as and when they arose, and you delivered exactly what you promised and on time too. In my experience, it is very rare to find companies that still work this way nowadays and staff working to that spirit.

I used Conveyancing Direct for a BTL remortgage. My experience with them has been excellent. I couldn’t fault them. I had to rush through the mortgage transfer at the last minute due to a calendar error on my part and the service I received was exceptional. I can’t thank Rowan enough for the five star service he gave me. Fast, efficient, personable and effective. Thank you.

Do not use this company
Update 17/01 last Friday said awaiting file to be signed by senior staff at Direct conveyancing not communicating properly or truthfully with SDL Law Today 17/01 stating more enquires needed unable to exchange or complete exactly what they said to my solicitor 20/12 . Absolutely nonsense still no further along. Either do not respond by email or phone or ambiguous information .new person dealing now apparently !! My solicitor chases all the time the house I am buying chasing me and the bottom of the chain Solicitors don’t care ! I definitely would not recommend this company. Now stating not a genuine review or complaint! Taylor Ann Dearnaley Conveyancer Team Manager Conveyancing Direct Limited, Windmill Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex, TN38 9BY The sale will fall through if they don’t get there act together. Sone terrible reviews on here says it all !! Do not respond to messages or emails from my solicitors and holding up the chain absolutely appalling service. Poor communication and costing everybody a lot of money and time . The problem with these online and web conveyancing companies is they take on so many customers and have no time to deal with them correctly or properly in the proper timescale. This then has a knock-on effect in the chain to every person due to the lack of response and commitment to the process of buying and selling. 9 weeks and constant delays by this company.
