Sandra our tutor for year 2 has been so supportive and helpful and brings passion and knowledge in abundance. She shares so much and her feedback is thorough and thoughtful and so helpful. She's been amazing and I'm excited to continue the second half of the year and progress onto year three. Thank you so much to the staff behind the scenes and placements team too for always being ready to answer queries and help where they can.

I have been with chrysalis for 2.5 yrs, my 1st year was enjoyable, with a great tutor, my 2nd year not so much, however, on year 3 1st session in January, my current tutor gave me structure, with slideshows & video clips to explain in more depth and giving examples of the different topics, I have thoroughly enjoyed my first 5 modules as I am a visual learner, the guidance given is great by Sarah Jones and she is a real fit for our group, I am looking forward to the rest of my final year with Chrysalis
I have had a great experience training with Chrysalis. The pluralistic content of the course has been very interesting and I believe has put me in good stead for my future as a counsellor. Most beneficial to my experience though is my tutor, Martina. Martina is incredibly knowledgeable, always puts us at ease, fills us with confidence and gives valuable feedback.

I'm in my second year of study with Chrysalis, now completing my level 4 counselling and psychotherapy with Julie Morley. She is a fantastic tutor who is generous with her knowledge and experience. She has a wonderful inclusive teaching style and I'm so glad to be one of her students. Chrysalis provide a comprehensive syllabus supported by additional reading and practice. Their central team are easy to contact and supportive. I would highly recommend studying with them.

I highly recommend if you're looking for a starting point for your journey into counselling and self-awareness, Chrysalis has made this journey truly enlightening, empowering and inspiring! My first year consisted of Hypnotherapy which I was apprehensive about to begin with, but my tutor Darryl gave me a perspective in how those skills could aid in my journey. Now approaching the end of second year, my tutor Jonathan has further encouraged feelings of resilience, patience and self-awareness while maintaining an approachable, yet professional disposition that has furthered my enthusiasm to continue this journey!

I have been studying with Chrysalis for two years now and finding it exceptionally easy managed It is very suitable for student as our classes are on Saturday's which is fantastic fitting in with our working lives. Very easy to set up and the tutors are so welcoming and understanding. In my first year our tutor was Daryl who was most helpful and at any stage someone was struggling he just sorted it out. This year and also next year our tutor is Jonathan Broad and again a very helpful and understanding tutor who teaches us from all no matter what knowledge we already have how to use our abilities to the best when dealing with volunteers and also explains in great deal each and every aspect of therapy. I was very nervous at first about applying for a counselling course but this Chrysalis Course have aided my learning experience and i am so very glad I choose it as a course Thank you

I'm now in my second year of study with Chrysalis (Peterborough), and my experience so far has been positive. Our tutor, Julie Morley, is enthusiastic and engaging when delivering the sessions, and does a great job of helping us contextualize the content. She is consistently quick to answer questions and offer support in between classes, and gives personalised detailed feedback. The course content is broad-- there are suggestions for further reading for deepening understanding if a certain area resonates. The price of the course is fair for what is provided and the support available, though your own engagement and commitment plays a big part.

So easy to get set up. The website has a great setup very easy to navigate. Our tutor Jonathan is incredibly helpful, always makes time to answer any questions or concerns and is a fantastic teacher. Only having one class a month is great as it means we still have the opportunity to work full time. Overall a great service and organisation and would highly recommend to anyone interested in studying counselling.

I am soon to complete my Level 3 hypnotherapy course, and it has been an incredible experience! The content was thoughtfully structured and provided a deep understanding of hypnotherapeutic techniques. My tutor, Faye Hatch, deserves special mention for her excellent guidance and support throughout the course. Her expertise and approachable nature made learning both enjoyable and highly effective. I feel confident and well-equipped to apply what I've learned, and I highly recommend this course to anyone considering a career in hypnotherapy!

I interviewed for Chrysalis after completing a Lv2 online course. I was concerned about the lack of BACP accreditation. My interviewer rebuttled by saying BACP accreditation was only useful for providing magazines that she stuffs under her bed. I talked to a qualified colleague (I work at a hospital) who shared the reality that you will find it impossible to find work with the NHS or other public organisations without BACP accreditation. They offered me a place on their course which I rejected. Now my inbox and junk box are filled with spam requests to sign contracts after I rejected them. If you only want to work privately then fine, it's cheap. If you want to find work with any public organisation after qualifying avoid them until the quality of their courses meet BACP's standards or an equivalent accreditation. EDIT in response to Chrysalis - Dr Christopher Forester and Pamela Harvey have both been directors of Chrysalis Not For Profit, Chrysalis Courses and the two accreditated bodies Chrysalis has; the National Hypnotherapy Society and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. There are other directors whose names overlap (Elizabeth McElligott and Janice Clare Pannell) so I raise an eye at the neutrality of these accreditations. This also highlights the oddness that was 2014 when the BACP accreditation was withdrawn at the same time Chrysalis Courses Limited was dissolved and Chrysalis Not For Profit Limited was born (2014). Both entities were/are registered to the same address. I'll say it again. Large organisations like the NHS want accreditation from the BACP or UKCP. Being told the only use for BACP accreditation is to fill my bed with magazines was incredibly disconcerting. Please tell your admin team to stop spamming invitations to sign contracts. I sincerely hope the quality of the course improves to a point where it can regain BACP accreditation.

I completed the Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, and although there were a few changes along the way, I enjoyed my experience with Chrysalis. I have always felt supported by my tutors, found the Moodle system really helpful to follow when it comes to self-led learning, enjoyed the class experiences and if I had any issues, emailing student support was always helpful. I had a complex concern in my third year and student support were so supportive, I would not have managed without them - Tania in particular has been a light in the darkness when I didn't know what to do. With her guidance and advice, I have navigated a difficult situation, completed my last year and qualified. I will be eternally grateful for the part she played in my journey and I can't recommend Chrysalis enough.
