Updated 12 June 2024: On the 30 May 2024, I received the message "q-view.co.uk has flagged your review for containing harmful or illegal content.". I do not think it is appropriate to attempt to immediately take down a review by inappropriately suggesting it is harmful or illegal. Flagging it like that has the effect of immediately taking the review down until it was reviewed and re-instated by Trustpilot. ---original review below--- Disappointed to find the selling price of the Manhattan T4-R 2TB Freeview Play 4K TV Recorder has increased from Β£229.99 to Β£288.99 overnight. I added to my basket last night and this morning checked with a neighbour if they could accept delivery, and then today, it's nearly Β£60 above RRP from Manhattan, and the explanation from Chigwell Satellite is that it's because they will have stock levels and are confident they can ship the product. There is a Wikipedia describing the practice of increasing prices when supply is limited.

I had a problem with a new Humax, called and spoke to the company. The guy said they would call back. Richard did call back and was very nice, told me if I had any more problems just give them a call and they seemed more than willing to help me out. Good service.

This company is run by a man called Richard. He offered me help with my tv recorder. He was so helpful that the call out charge should not be wasted. He does not normally come as far as Clacton, but he had a job in Colchester and said he would make the call out there. The man that turned fixed my aerial problem,he was very helpful. This company is the type of company that gives service to its customers, and goes at great length to save you money. Richard is a gentleman and I would recommend him with the upmost positivity. Thank you.

The screws to fix the dish to the bracket are black m6 screws the bracket has only a 4mm pilot holes so a drill and tap are required. There are only 5 m6 bolts for 3 joints in the bracket, 2 are required for each joint otherwise the dish will swivel.The bracket bolts have a square under the head the depth is more than 2 thicknesses of metal meaning that when the bolts are tight the joint is lose so you will need some alternative m6 bolts. After spending time and money on this dish it does work fine i would not recommend. I am pleased to say with this update that customer services have made a refund to cover the problems above and an apology and are checking there stock so this does not happen again.

Having used this company over many years via different platforms I decided to go direct and use the shop direct through there website. Easy to navigate and order. Unfortunately there was a issue our end with the postage courriers. I contacted Chigwell Satellite by email regarding the issue and was contacted immediately by Charlie and followed by a telephone call also. To be honest Charlie could not of done enough for us helping to try and track our parcel and kept us informed every step of the way. Unfortunately the original parcel went astray and it was no hassel for Chigwell Satellite and quickly sent a replacement to us that was received in a matter of days. Great customer service, great equipment, fantastic company, and will certainly recommend , Thankyou again Kind regards Dene

We finally finished with Sky satellite after 13 years of overpriced subscriptions and instead purchased a New Humax HDR-1100S 2 TB Freesat HD TV Recorder. Firstly we discussed the Humax directly with Chigwell satellite needing more info to ensure we were doing the right thing. They were extremely helpful then and still are, going above and beyond expectations. To be honest we were astonished at their helpfulness. Highly recommend this company and 5 stars just isn't enough. Thanks to Richard, Daniel and Charlie and whoever else helps make this company the best.

I purchased a Sky+ box to replace the one I had. As expected it works very well, but what I liked the most was the very detailed instructions on what has to be done to connect the box, the TV to the remote control, etc. Although I had a problem receiving a reply from the company regarding the use of the remote control, they have now explained to me why they took some time to reply. I am happy with the product I ordered, and with the very clear instructions.
