Poor post-rental communication.

Whole rental process was fine and easy, as has always been my experience with using Carrentals on various occasions. However I afterwards wrote to Carrentals, using the contact facility on the website, asking for help / advice about I problem I'd had over a parking violation with the car. They took about three weeks to reply, which is no help at all! PG. Oct 18.

I found Alamo to be very helpful and…

I found Alamo to be very helpful and even when they upgraded me as the car I had booked was not available they refunded me the difference. I would definitely use the. again

Used carrentals.co.uk several times

Used carrentals.co.uk several times. I have never had any problems, just book-online-get-a-car-on-a-counter scheme. So it was ok for me. But last time I’ve also used phone help from Carrentals.co.uk I hired a car through the service at Buchbinder in Budapest and on a Buchbinder desk was this rude, incompetent person, who refused my CONFIRMED rental and offered wait 24-hours. So I called the Carrentals.co.uk and very nice lady on phone solved my problems in minutes. The only problem I got is 10 Euro phone bill for international phone call, for some reason toll free number isn’t work for me. But I suppose this is my phone company problem, nor Carrental.co.uk. Note: I’ve never had a chance to test their insurance and I hope I never will. So I don’t know how they act in the case of compensation claims. But this far it was great. So, can I recommend the service? Yes.

Not good, no refund policy, no car, security check???

Not good, didn't pass security check no email or phone call went to pick up my car and been told the booking has been cancelled. Phones customer service and been told they don't do refund. Not happy at all. No car no refund Worst

Reserved a holiday car with Avis using…

Reserved a holiday car with Avis using carrentals.co.uk. Chose to take up their inclusive excess cover and noted their helpful advice re declining any 'upselling' attempts to be encountered at the Avis desk. Hire car was perfect and a great holiday was had by all.

Hired 2 cars in September 2018

Hired 2 cars in September 2018. The first in Las Vegas with Hertz. I have a 3 year old and needed a car seat. Car rental was $200, car seat rental $110 more than the cost of the same seat at Walmart. This was a complete ripoff. These costs should have been shown at the time of booking. A week later had a booking with Alamo at LAX with the rental price about the same but the car seat was $79, however this was shown at time of booking, but still a ripoff as I declined the car seat, drove 5 mike to the local Walmart and bought a car seat for $81. I would not mind if these extra costs were not for an essential safety item like a car seat but this experience has left a bitter teast in my mouth and I will be thinking twice about renting cars with either company and Rentacar.com

To be Honest I had very bad experience With this service very upset This company is the organised crime . Be aware of scammers in Heathrow airport ! Firstly : I have book/paid car it’s was really cheap price £39 for two days and unlimited Milage with full insurance cover. When I was at air port to pickup the car they tell you not able to provide the car. And they offer me new booking which is more then £200. I lost my time. Hotel booking. I was very tired mess my all plan meeting because of online booking with carrentals.co.uk With Avis rent a car Manager name is miss Naila. And other executive name is mr. Elyas. I didn’t not get my refund I don’t to how to make a claim my refund and complain about Avis Please please don’t use carrentals.co.uk and Avis car. Carrentals good, Sixt not so good.

A good and easy experience with actually booking thought Carrentals.co.uk - however I eventually ended up with a booking with Sixt, Florence Airport, (through Carrentals.co.uk) and on arrival I was told 'i'm not sure if you have any cover against damage of any kind because I cant see it on our system, but I can assure you that you don't have cover for tyres and glass'. It was a clear shakedown because I had made sure I had cover for everything. Had I been driving the car a lot more on the trip, I would have felt it necessary to take out further insurance to cover me for things i'd already covered. Really really bad practice from Sixt Florence Airport, however I know it happens all over the world.
