Carnival Conquest – One of the Worst Travel Experiences Ever

This ship should be retired. Carnival Conquest is old, dirty, and falling apart. The rooms are outdated and poorly maintained. Cleanliness across the ship is awful — I didn’t even dare go near the pool, it looked gross. The kids’ club is way too small and overcrowded all the time. The beds? Absolutely terrible. Thin, lumpy, and unsupportive. After one night, my neck, back, and whole body were aching like I’d slept on a pile of cardboard. Easily the worst sleep I’ve had anywhere. What really shocked me was the constant smell of marijuana all over the ship. Hallways, elevators — it stank everywhere. It was disgusting, especially on a “family” cruise. Carnival staff seemed to ignore it completely. Add to that the noise — people yelling and partying in the halls until 3 AM. Impossible to sleep. No enforcement, no control. This wasn’t a vacation — it was a nightmare. Carnival Conquest is a joke. Never again.

Carnival Cruise ‘Planners’ are the Best!

I have nothing but Praise for the service I received from Jarrett a Carnival Cruise Planner. You are a credit to Carnival. You are so sweet and nothing is too much for you to do. Having had our Luminosa cruise cancelled by Carnival because of Cyclone Alfred, my family group of x5 are trying to re-book another x2 cabins for a similar cruise. Jarrett has been so accomodating with this for me, from checking on all available cruises and being transparent with ‘costs’ and placement of cabins. I could not have done this without his help. We have finally found a Cruise to suit all our requirements and have proceeded to work with Jarrett to lock this in. Carnival, I hope that you realise how fortunate you are to have Personal Planners like Jarrett. Not only have I stayed with Carnival for another Cruise but I specifically chose Jarrett to be our Planner. Well done and Thank you J. A footnote on this review……I was originally with another Travel Agent but needed to contact Carnival direct and had spoken to Jarrett. Even-though he knew I was with a competitor,his ‘service’ and ‘professionalism’ never wavered… When the original Cruise was cancelled, it was a ‘no brainer’ for me to book direct with Carnival and have Jarrett onboard. I’ll definitely spread the good word.

Nie wieder

Wir das erste Mal mit Carnival Cruise gefahren und auch letzte Mal! Einchecken ging schnell und ohne Probleme! Das Schiff war klein und machte hier und da einen runter gerockten Eindruck! Unsere Kabine empfangen wir als echt klein. Wenn man viele Leute an Bord haben will geht das nur mit kleinen Kabinen. Das Personal an Bord sehr freundlich obwohl sie dir immer versucht haben ein Bucket aufzuschwatzen! Wir haben in Nassau eine Jeeptour gebucht Automatik! Runter vom Schiff unseren Ansprechpartner gefunden der ganz offensichtlich mit den Papieren und den Tickets der Leute überfordert war! Dann ging es mit einem Shuttle zu den Jeeps. Da ich eine Unterschenkel Prothese trage , habe natürlich ein Automatik gebucht! Der Guide vor Ort gab mir aber ein Schalter. Ich haben ihm die Situation ( trotz kurzer Hose) erklärt, hat ihn aber nicht groß interessiert! Ende vom Lieb kein passendes Auto zurück zum Hafen! Extrem unprofessionell! Auf dem Schiff am Tresen haben wir uns beschwert und wollten unser Geld für die Tour zurück! Ging anstandslos! Dann wollte man uns so leise und so schnell wie möglich loswerden und versprach uns noch eine Überraschung und siehe da , die Überraschung war es gab keine Überraschung! Egal der Tag ist versaut gewesen! Echt übel dieses Verhalten! Frühstück war ab 06.00 Uhr aber einige Stände machten dann erst ab 07.00 Uhr auf! Finde ich übel ! Wenn ich schreibe ab 06.00 Uhr dann sollte auch alles verfügbar sein!

Great cruise

Had a great time on a Carnival cruise from Miami around the Carribean islands with my family and my parents! Good price, loads of activities, food is great. It's definitely not my last cruise with this company

I have cruised over 26 times with Carnival and have had the best time with family and friends ! No wonder its called " The Fun Ship " I love the Spa and I always have a relaxing spa treatment planned on every sailing .

P&O Cruises Australia - a floating disaster

We have cancelled our intended P&O cruise out of Brisbane due to their total lack of client support (a misnomer if there ever was one) Our sad saga is too long to detail here; suffice to say that we have spent the past three months trying to effect a very simple change in cabin configuration (we had booked two adjoining penthouse suites). Our efforts have involved two direct phone calls (each taking more than one hour), three emails, and multiple complaints forwarded via the commendable Ajust.com.au website. Nevertheless...we received not one response from this company. Not a single one! Therefore we have decided on principle to take our business elsewhere, and perhaps if enough others do likewise, this company will be forced to change its ways if it wishes to stay afloat.

This company lie and mislead you about…

This company lie and mislead you about their cruise packages ! P&O Cruises are the worst part of the group ! I can only compare them to a floating Butlins but worse ! They added drinks to our bill, put us up in a flea infested room with a broken bed, no working TV, leaking shower and no working air con ! We saw cockroaches in the kitchen area and to top it all found out that our boat had been in a crash says before and shouldn't have sailed ! Put in a complaint and just got lied to, misled and they tried to fob us off. This is now with ABTA ! WITHOUT ANY DOUBT the worst holiday ever experienced ! AVOID AVOID AVOID ! The bottom of the cruise barrell !!!

Könnte seine Cruises viel besser promoten.

Carnival könnte mit seinen Cruises bei Reisefans hierzulande einen viel höheren Stellenwert einnehmen, wenn die Presseabteilung einen engagierten Job machen würde - so wie beispielsweise das AIDA Presseteam. Aber wenn man mit dem PR Team von Carnival Kontakt aufnimmt, dann kommt leider gar nichts zurück. Eigentlich braucht man dann so ein PR Team auch nicht - schade, da werden echte Chancen vertan.

Fraudulent financial deception.

My name is Tonin Gjekmarkaj. I booked 7 tickets from August 15 - August 22. One of us was of Albanian citizenship, but had a USA tourist visa. Before booking the tickets I asked two-three times Anna(Annahle)Carlos in charge of Personal Vacation Consultant, if the Albanian guy could travel to Alaska. Her answer was “yes, of course, cause you’re traveling within 50 states of USA”. I asked her again: Does the cruise navigates through the territorial waters of Canada?” Her answer:” Yes, he can stay on board the cruise, but not descend on Canadian land”. The check-in security didn’t allow the Albanian tourist to embark on Carnival Cruise. My wife and my two sisters with their husbands embarked, but I had to cancel even my trip just not to leave alone my Albanian tourist cousin. What a stress! Carnival Cruise owes me $4200 for two booked tickets because Anna deceived us.

Discriminated against and not even able to complain

Had a really bad time with the customer service over the phone, felt like they were discriminating against me. Got so fed up, I decided to cancel my cruise. They told me to do that at the place I bought the ticket, which was okay. But when I asked how I could leave feedback or make a complaint about their service, they told me they didn't have a way to do that, no email, no online form, nothing. Instead, they told me to contact the Port Authorities?! I told them my complaint had nothing to do with the Port Authorities, and they agreed but didn't offer any other solution. Seriously not cool how they treated me and then tried to pass the buck to someone else! No wonder they don't have a way to complain—if no one can say anything, they never have to deal with the mess they create. So, a heads up to everyone: Don't book with this cruise line!

Probably the worst customer service of any company

They have got the complaints procedure nailed. They just ignore them. Sent many emails to P&O that were just ignored. Wrote letter to CEO of Carnival in Uk, they eventually half responded to my complaint concerning the worst cruise we had ever been on, aboard Arcadia in December last. They did not fully answer my complaint. Have emailed ‘executive office support’ who have just totally ignored the emails. Emailed Josh Weinstein, CEO Carnival Corporation, other than the automated reply, nothing. They have dispensed with so many things to cut costs, one being the nightly turn down meaning you do not get towels unless you ask for them. They used to have a ‘why book P&O’ and gave a long list of reasons, one of which was the daily steward service and nightly turndown. That’s seems to have disappeared from their sales splurge. As I said, it was the worst cruise we have ever been on, and we have done well over 20, a lot of them with P&O, they used to be brilliant, now not so. Some staff extremely rude, buckets outside our cabin door for the whole of our 10 day cruise catching the drips from just one of the many on board. Booked ‘fine dining restaurant’ for our 50th wedding anniversary, served by waiters in ‘deck jackets’. For most of the cruise the dining room was freezing cold. Nora virus onboard, no health checks, questionnaire or proof of Covid vaccine asked for when we boarded, Covid case on board, people filling water drinks bottles from dispenser while crew watched. I could go on forever.
