A-Rosa cruise on the Douro which went well, accomodation in deck 2 cabin was excellent. Food quality and choice was very good. Entertainment could be better, other than Portuguese folk singers one night then rest was just a guy playing recorded music. A-ROSA are a good company but difficult when it comes to contacting or getting replies to queries. A mixture of nationalities on board with Germans, Israeli, South African,Australian,Welsh, English,Italian travellers . Ship was very clean and staff friendly, I would definitely use again.

Very positive experience, nice route, everything well organized, spacious cabin, excellent level of cleanliness everywhere, friendly staff, good value for money

Poor Rhein en Flammen trip

This was a Rhein en Flammen trip. We were last in line and the fireworks were at least 1/2 mile away. Would have seen more had we stayed docked in Rudesheim. Beds were very hard. The A-Rosa Brava furniture is looking pretty "tired". Drinks were watered down. Never heard "boo" from Captain--I suppose there was one.

First, but not last time A-Rosa customer

The A-Rosa all inclusive is truly "All Inclusive." The staff was consistently friendly and helpful. The food was well prepared and in variety. The optional excursions were well organized and enjoyable and the free use of bicycles an unexpected perk.

5 Tage vor Reisebeginn (nach 2-maliger Umbuchung wegen Corona) „A-ROSA’s“ Coronoregelung erhalten: A-ROSA‘s gewünschte Boosterung 1 Tag vor Abfahrt hat aus medizinischer Sicht keinerlei Sinn!!! Ablehnung zur Teilnahme an der Reise fand einen Tag vor Reisebeginn statt. Die zu diesem Zeitpunkt rechtlich geltenden Corona-Regeln in (Deutschland), Abfahrts- und Reiseland Österreich und Reiseland Slowakei waren zum Reisezeitraum mit unserem Impfschutz gegeben. A-ROSA weigert sich den Reisepreis zurück zu erstatten.

A-Rosa Danube Christmas Markets

We loved our A-Rosa Christmas Market cruise! The ship was spotlessly clean, food was delicious and sites were amazing. It is a German-owned cruise line so don’t expect Americans on board. The Christmas markets were all different and overall, the cruise was incredibly relaxing.

Enjoyable cruise, some issues

Fantastic cruise, staff hard working and pleasant, especially in the bar and restaurant. Food enjoyable. Shame they made us wait 4 hours in the freezing cold before we were allowed to board and forgot to make announcements in English, so we had no idea what was happening most of the time. Communication really poor. But Carolin on reception was excellent in clarifying everything for us. Interesting they only reply to five star reviews

A modern well-run ship and an excellent experience all round

A modern well-run ship, with a willing and competent crew. The food was good and I appreciated that the meals were all buffet. My only reservation is that most of the tables were for four persons, so that as a single traveller I generally found myself dining alone. Of course the British travellers assumed they had to keep the same tables throughout. Larger tables would encourage more mixing.

It was easy to book once it was clear…

It was easy to book once it was clear to me what the different cruise options were. To be clear about the options I preferred to call an A-Rosa agent as the web page wasn’t very self explanatory to me. I have to say the sales agent was great and answered all my questions easily and quickly.

Fijn schip met vriendelijk personeel

Fijn schip, Diner viel ons wat tegen vooral lauwe buffetten . Bedden zijn niet comfortabel bedbodem is van wafelprofiel als je dus wat zwaarder ben dan voel je de veren kantelen. Bij een volle boot en wat minder weer zijn er weinig zitjes. Prima bediening en heerlijke dranken.

Staff were friendly professional and…

Staff were friendly professional and hardworking. Ship was well appointed and air conditioned cabin great in the heatwave ( as was the pool!) The food and drink was excellent and such a variety! Trips were interesting and varied too. This was one of our best holidays ever! Memorable x
