What an absolute shower I had over 1800 XRP held in an account with wirex then suddenly after a few small fees for inactivity all of my remaining XRP disappeared (storage fee) was told by an advisor that when I deposited again my balance would be restored guess what nada unbelievable and this all happened during COVID when I was unable to work therefore unable to add.funds Do not use
Sono allibita: mi sono iscritta e ho avviato la procedura per richiedere una Carta fisica, ma all'improvviso, la richiesta è stata bloccata ed è stata respinta la verifica dell'account, con una email che non dava spiegazioni, se non violazione dei loro Termini e Condizioni (ma non immagino in che modo !). Ho aperto un ticket e chiesto spiegazioni, per capire come rimediare e procedere, ma mi hanno trattato come una criminale, dicendo che non possono darmi spiegazioni sul perchè hanno bloccato l'account e la mia richiesta, ma che addirittura non accetteranno da me l'apertura di nessun'altro account in futuro. Pura follia, davvero. Forse sono io che, per tutelarmi, devo tenermi alla larga da un servizio simile. Non credo sia il caso di affidare il proprio denaro a chi agisce in modo totalmente insensato, senza dare spiegazioni. Inoltre, ho anche trovato due grossi bug: il primo perchè in fase di inserimento dati non vengono accettate le lettere accentate (io ho una lettera accentata nel cognome), nè l'apostrofo che è utilizzato sulle carte di credito al posto dell'accento nel mio cognome. Il secondo bug, perchè non funziona l'eliminazione dell'account, in quanto il link "Elimina Account" porta alla pagina Wirex Help e l'account non viene eliminato. Questa sì che è una violazione! Un primo impatto davvero terrificante. E mi vengono i brividi a pensare che ormai hanno i miei dati. E' il caso di rivolgersi altrove.
Was working great for a few months but since I upgraded to premium in June it's been awful. Account on hold for a proof of earning check in July which is completely understandable. Payslips etc sent over and account reinstated. Same thing happend in August and same documents requested despite having previously received them. Current balance isn't even from salary - it's casino winnings from a fully licensed gaming site and account in my name, matching all info on my wirex account. Currently on hold for 6 days with no replies to email for the last 3 days. Just going to go back to using crypto.com edit) Complaint lodged and within a couple of hours Account now blocked for for breaking terms and conditions. They won't tell me which terms or conditions I've broken. Further edit addressing their reply.) yeah that's not entirely true is it? All you've said is that I've breached terms and conditions but ignored all further emails and I've been asking about which part in particular I've breached ... There's 10,000 euro in the account and you're not acknowledging any emails regarding getting it out
An extremely shady company. Avoid, avoid, avoid! They are running a referral scheme where upon sign up they will automatically close your account without reason. This occurs after submission of personal data including identification. No reason is given for account closure. The worst and most shady company I have ever dealt with. Please avoid at all costs.
As others have noted, Wirex isn’t that great as a primary card. It is, however, a good backup card! Easy to top up and spend, and if everything else fails, you can deposit USDT directly. (Note, however, that the conversion rate sucks, even for USDT → USD.)

Mio fratello mi ha inviato delle crypto sul conto wirex, dopodichè wirex non mi ha accreditato l'importo ma l'ha bloccato per eseguite verifiche sul destinatario. A loro dire i dati che ho fornito a wirex non era sufficienti quindi mi mandano una mail dicendomi che l'importo sarebbe stato inviato ad un indirizzo a mia scelta. Sta di fatto che dopo 4 giorni non mi hanno ancora ridato i miei soldi, non ho idea di dove siano. Oggi ho provato per ben tre volte a scrivere all'assistenza ma nessuno risponde. Mi trovo che non ho più i miei fondi e non risultano più da nessuna parte. Ora attendo la giornata di domani per ricevere una risposta se cosí non fosse avvierò una procedura legale. Giovedí 11 settembre. Ieri mi hanno accreditato i fondi, dopo aver mandato una diffida tramite il mio avvocato.
This Wirex sucks like really sucks. It is very easy to deposit but almost impossible to withdraw. The fees are also so high compared to competitors. I tried depositing to try their service do crypto swap and withdraw but it says contact support. Don't deposit your money here please. Headache is what you get not profit

I have or had an account since they opened there first accounts. I used to use the account a lot, ended up not trusting my money in there. Odd they don’t have a phone service to ring, emails can be 2 weeks after you contacted them, numerous times I have said I can’t get in to my account. They kind of helped thought everything was all set and then couldn’t get in to account. They are one of the OG and been around a while and used to be a good company that I trusted, now I wouldn’t even trust them with £50.00. Gone to uphold as they at least help sort issues and want to help you.
I've signed up and deposited £200 and can't do anything in the app. My money is now stuck there and I can't withdraw. I can't get a response from customer support despite emailing three times. I have been over on the wirex subreddit and it's flooded with people having all sorts of issues and not getting responses to their emails. Don't touch wirex with a barge pole
#6225885 This is my ticket they keep closing the tickets without resolving the issue I tried multiple times but they keep you on hold with bad answers and 0 help they put the ticket as resolved without fixing the issue be aware as at this point I feel like I'm getting scammed. There was failed transaction but the money is taken from my account and now they won't help in any way watch out everyone. There's no chat or phone number to contact them with. WATCH OUT. Update 27-08 You reply here Wirex but I still get no help because your support representatieve said it's declined order because of insufficient funds while I have had over 400$ and I paid 3 times 85$ that have been taken from my account but it's declined at the vendor and I contacted them they said it's in your hand and your support won't give it back or even address the issue?

I hadn't even deposited funds in my newly opened account (thankfully), and their AML algorithm was already triggered for obviously no reason whatsoever. The restriction is only "temporary" they say, until 12/31/9999....whatever that means. Whether it's temporary or permanent (with your locked funds), they get to decide (at your expense).

Its funny that im reading reviews with similar issues as time. Its now almost a month, my issue #6205421 has not been dealt with. Wirex can reply and say whatever it wants but this is totally unacceptable. Solving problems is also a function of time, you cannot have a simple problem like failer to withdraw take a full month to solve. This does nothing but actually tarnish your reputation and business. No wonder why you have a 2 star rating on trustpilot, and i see many people complaining about time. It then looks like you are not really serious about solving problems. Any issue especially the simple ones should never take more than a week to solve. Its really frustrating, once I get my money out (if ever I will) i dont dont think ill deal with wirex again specifically because of the time they take to solve issues.
