I have been a very happy and satisfied member of the Wine Spies community for several years now. I have referred numerous friends to the Wine Spies and they have sampled my purchases and were also very pleased. Wine Spies offers delicious wines at exceptionally good prices. The only negative statement I can offer of the Wine Spies is that the temptation is too great to constantly order more wines and my wife (who happily consumes the greater amount of it) tells me we are running out of places to store it. My daughter also appreciates the wines she receives from us when I order extra. The Wine Spies organization also offers fantastic customer service if they are ever needed.

I’ve been a wine spies operative for many years. I love trying new wines! Their prices are reasonable, and the locker is a great feature if you don’t need or want a whole case of anything.

The deals are generally good. The customer service has room for improvement. Reponses to issues are very slow. A good place to start is to return phone calls and follow up timely.

I love the ability to build a case/locker and ship it for free. It's honestly the reason that your website is the only wine site like this that I buy wine from.

Lots of rotating unique wines and the locker function allows someone on a budget to slowly buy bottles while still taking advantage of free case shipping.

I’ve been buying wine with Wine Spies for almost 2 years and I love it. A daily email with a good to great wine, usually well-discounted. I can do some research if it’s a wine I’m unfamiliar with and then I can either buy or not and wait for the next email. Fun way to learn about new wines and get great deals. I especially like their Locker system where they will store your wine until you accumulate 12 bottles and then ship for free. And they have special sales from time to time, often on higher-end wines. I’ve only had to reach out to customer service twice and each time they responded promptly and immediately resolved the issue to my satisfaction. I highly recommend Wine Spies.

Well Curated and Reliable. I like the wide variety of wines available even if they tend to lean heavily on the regions closest to them. We have stopped buying wines at the stores, relying on Wine Spies for both our everyday drinking wines and special event treats. Over the last few years we have only received 3 bad bottles, which were immediately credited without question. Keep up the great work.

The variety and various price points for the wines you spy on are great. The website is much improved. The delivery predictability and communication could be improved. Because a 21 yr old is required to sign, schedules need to be adjusted and more visibility into the estimated delivery would be great!

Great wine in affordable prices

While I have used them in prior years and received decent service and decent wines this year has been terrible. My wine has been shipped to the wrong address, the locker has been delayed, and the response to the issue has been merely asking for details on my locker (which they should already have). I don’t want to think this way and hope it can be resolved, at this point it seems like a scam and that they have in essence “taken my money and ran.”

my wines arrived with heat damage- 2 bottles had the corks popped right out of the bottles, 2 had the corks raised out of the bottles by an inch or more and then 2 of the bottles i opened that appeared fine were terrible with heat faults.Clearly storage or shipment problems - when i complained i did receive credit for 3 of the bottles but i later found more bad bottles in the case - they told me i should have asked for refrigerated shipping - yet there was no place for me to ask for that and if you recommend it why don't you ship all your wines that way?

I placed an order for my locker to be shipped. I started emailing customer support after hearing another for 7 or 8 days. I have continued to text, call and email customer support and have not heard anything. I have asked for a tracking number and the name of the carrier. Nothing..... /there has been no human interaction. DO NOT TRUST this company.

Wine Spies offers terrific and interesting wines, informative and witty reviews and an awesome locker system. The capability of storing up to 2 cases of wine is very clever and is a real differentiator. Shipping is careful, timely and well communicated.

I am very nervous. I am not getting any traction on shipping my locker. It has been sitting in pending status for over a week now. I reached out to customer service with no response. How can a company have no phone number? It’s only a submitted ticket opportunity and after submitting there is no confirmation email. This seems like a completely virtual business with no customer service hired full time. I have over $500 in wine that is in the land of nowhere. I think I got ripped off and this company will be reported to better business.

I requested locker shipping 6 weeks ago but no wine! Customer service says there was a bug in the system at 4 weeks and shipping in 2 days. 2.5 weeks later, I still don’t have the order. Terrible customer service and they don’t provide tracking information. Update 10/27/23. First late partial shipment of 6 bottles arrived after 8 weeks. After several emails, the remaining 6 bottles arrived 2 weeks later. Total time was 10 weeks to ship 12 bottles of wine!
