This was a shot in the dark for which estate agents to choose and so glad I did. From the first telephone call through to the last they were brilliant. Many thanks to Holly and Annabel at Webbers Launceston branch for quickly finding new tenants for my rental property. Vetting of potential tenants seemed thorough and I was kept informed of scheduled viewings. Final outcome very satisfactory.
I made a good offer on a property in Launceston, showed them proof of funds and ID and patiently waited for the vendors reply, only to be contacted by the agent by phone 3 days later saying they wanted personal details about me, my life and my family. Intrusive, inappropriate and rude. I am waiting for their privacy policy disclosure statement. I would not use them or trust them again.
Webbers Barnstaple (Sophie and Lucy) were fantastic and very quick to respond and help! They are friendly but professional. Thank you for making our move happen so quickly, 6 weeks!
Webbers Ilfracombe Very poor service and consistent lack of communication.
Despite contacting and complaining about lack of feedback, nothing really improved.
Very impersonal service all round, numerous names contact you and you never know who is dealing with your sale.

Absolutely appalling in a time when rental property is so scarce took them nearly a year to rent my property charges crazy inefficiency lack of communication unless it was to fleece me for something else
scam artists have already had complaints about the tenants smoking weed in a non smoking building and they literally just moved in. I'd have changed but was so in debt and Turners had let me down after over 20 years. What is happening in Ilfracombe?
James at Webbers Torrington has gone above and beyond the call of duty trying to find me a house He is patient and cheerful and always professional. He is a good listener and has strived to find a property that meets my needs. I am very grateful.

Such a poor experience when viewing houses with Webbers. Viewed two properties with them, that was enough. They wanted to get in and out of the property within 2 minutes and knew NOTHING about it. May as well of just opened the door and let me look around myself. They even made up answers to my questions which weren't true. It made me feel so deflated. I asked questions which they said they'd get back to me with the answers. They never did and said 'you need to find that out yourself - do you want to make an offer or no?'
Felt like some of the properties were already a sealed deal.
Thank God my house purchase was with BOP.
Used to be reputable but voiced my experience with many fellow locals and they all had their own Webbers horror stories. We were going to use Webbers for a family members property sale next year but not anymore!
That they are petty when checking out of a property.
Firstly it not all doom and gloom on this review as the landlord who I had through Webbers was a good guy. How ever the letting agency was not. Was told in my contract there would be 3-6 month inspections. THAT A LIE. We didn’t have 1 in 5 years. When ever something needed doing I was told to contact the landlord which is fine as I would rather go through him. So in 5 years didn’t really have much todo with Webbers until we moved out. Pictures of a dusty lampshade was taken. work top that had 1 scratch on it. The garden had slight weeds going front and back. Be had done the garden 2 weeks before. All photos provided to Webbers. They still took money out of deposit. I’m lucky enough to no longer need to rent. We are in the middle of cost of living crisis and there are vultures when it comes to giving back your money.
Be very very careful when reading your contract, especially the tie in period. Very poor service and consistant lack of communication. When you cancel the contract you are awarded a letter containing a very extensive list of names they had introduced to the property. It seems their sales tactic is to get other agents to sell the property for them.
The Rental side of the South Molton branch consists of one incompetent , untrustworthy woman , she doesn’t have a clue on any of the processes to do with rentals , she just says “ yes” to everything and then it’s too late and you are locked into a costly situation until you are released and then they throw another spanner in the works and don’t return your complete deposit.
She only returns your calls eventually if at all and then is overwhelming rude, she can’t answer an email either .
All in all the rental side is rubbish from beginning to end
,we encountered nothing but hassle for a short 6 months Tenancy.
Don’t waste your time , any company is better than Webbers if you want to Rent .
I rang to enquire about a property that's up for rent, I was asked to complete an online form which asked for our credit scores to be uploaded. I have been unable to do this on my phone. So i rang one office for details who advised I can get a hard copy of the registration form and they will post one off. I rang another office that was actually advertising the property. All letting agents were out. I asked for a call back.. Nothing, still no form to complete. I have never been asked for credit score by any other agency in order to register. Although the property is just what we want. It makes me wary of using this letting agency, i shall not be ringing them again. if they cannot answer an email within the 24 hours they promise what else will they not do.
