Water Babies Reviews

My daughter and her husband began taking their four-month-old daughter to Westcroft School in Wolverhampton every Monday evening and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. However, they are considering seeking an alternative location due to the frequent cancellation of lessons. Consistency is crucial when paying for a service that aims to acclimate a child to water for safety reasons as they grow, and the current situation falls short in this regard.

We love water babies! Our little boy has come on leaps and bounds with the incredible teachers, most recently Natalie. She is full of fun and really engages with the children. Nothing but smiles all Round!

We have been attending swimming from our daughter was 4 months old, she's now 2 years old. It took the better part of a year for her to start enjoying but Emily the instructor was and is very patient. Our daughter is now progressing well with her swimming and looks forward to her class every week. Emily is a Fantastic teacher.

Me and my little one we are enjoying a water babies lessons from very first lesson from age 5 months. Lessons are made so professionally and with best care for the babies. Highly recommend water babies lessons number one.

We have been swimming for the past year, initially she loved the pool, however over the past 2 months she has cried every time we got in. The teacher was amazing and adapted what we did (while the class carried on with the usual lesson). It has taken 6 weeks of tears (on and off), now she LOVES swimming, can’t wait to get in, swims underwater, splashes, goes on her back and uses the floats. It was well worth the perseverance and Darna our teacher was so very helpful, kind and patient. THANK YOU. She’s a water baby now!

We did swimming with Waterbabies since my daughter was about 4 months old at a few different locations. She hasn't always loved it so I would say if you're in the midst of that then keep going or have a chat with the WB team about how they can help. For the last two years she was at Stephen Hawking School which is a lovely warm pool and she had a whale of a time. She was so excited to go into the pool each week and LOVES jumping in. (We still do the jelly song.) She's now three and we've moved on from waterbabies. (She got a bit big for the pool.) But she's got such good swimming foundations she can pretty much swim by herself now without any noodles or armbands at just turned three. Now she tells me every week 'I do proper swimming mummy you stay there!'

We started swimming lessons last year when my baby was 5 months old. Our teacher Carmel Tiley was always a very fun, patient, understanding teacher who gave my baby confidence with her voice and songs. Especially when it came to the tone of voice or the movements that my baby was afraid of, while learning to swim, her attitude of "it's okay, she'll do it later, she's in no rush" made both me and me happy. She always made my baby feel comfortable... She especially did the underwater movements with my baby, which I sometimes couldn't do with my baby due to my anxiety. When my baby was 15 months old, we moved to South London. Our teacher was teaching at Swiss Cottage, but now Maide Vale has moved to Maide Vale, but we still prefer the same teacher. Literally It takes 85 minutes to come to her, it crazy journey by train, believe me, it's a long journey, i would prefer to go to local Water Babies but it's worth it for her and for my baby !!!

Jamie has progressed very well with his swimming lessons and has enjoyed them. He is confident with all the stokes and Health and Safety. He loves diving into the water and swimming under water. I have recommended Water Babies to other friends and family

Friendly but professional swimming lessons for your baby, toddler or young child with a focus on safety. Great fun for the parents as well as the children. A great opportunity for bonding with your child, while they learn an important life skill.

We love our swimming lessons. Great fun and so much progression has been made by our little one. The venue's changing facilities could be much cleaner (probably nothing Water babies can do about this) and cancellation of lessons gives very little notification. Overall though would totally recommend.

Great lessons! Jen is a really good teacher and my son loves the lessons. He's starting to get more confident in the water now.

( not sure what all waterbabies are like but this review is for the one at greenbank school) Poorly organised. We have been signed up to waterbabies for about 7 weeks and only done 2 lessons with them as they cancelled most of them. We turned up at 9am to tell us there is no chlorine in the water so the lesson is cancelled ( which is good they check and don't let you in for safety reasons). As it's not their pool they apologised and said they will speak to greenbank to make sure it doesn't happen again. It was then cancelled for a further 3/4 weeks for some reason. We then did a lesson which was fine and then the week after we arrived just before 9am to be told it's cancelled because there is no chlorine in the water AGAIN! They keep saying it's out of their hands but at the end of the day I paid them for a service and well the one I received was poor and unacceptable.

My daughter was attending Water Babies for around a year and was nowhere near learning to swim. She was 3 when she joined and I made it clear that she could not swim but was placed in a class with confident swimmers and the activities that took place each week were not helping her swim in any way. She had less time spent with the teacher as she couldn't swim far like others. She has come on more in 3 lessons with another company that she did in a year with Water Babies. It could be good if you join when your child is a baby but not if they are older than this as the class is not tailored enough for non swimmers (even though the website specifically states they do).

I made a monthly booking and paid in advance for the lessons. When we arrived for the first session, I noticed that the water was dirty, and I could see objects swimming in it. Unfortunately, my baby developed hand, foot, and mouth disease after that visit. I immediately cancelled the remaining sessions and explained what had happened. They informed me that they could not issue a refund but could provide a credit to my account. It has now been over a year, and I am still waiting for a refund, as there are no other nearby places where I can book lessons.

Had a long term instructor for around 11 months she was brilliant. New instructor took over thought fab little girl just gets used to her then has a stand in instructor due to AL then its half term then normal instructor is back then had AL again so instructor changes then its half term again. Since August really struggled to settle my daughter and find the lessons have fast forwarded before we got used to the first section. Actually considering using a different company, this is on my door step which is disappointing but no longer enjoying the classes.

My 3 year old has always been safe in and around water, incredibly water confident and is now starting to independently swim. This is all down to Water Babies and their amazing programme. Water Babies is our favourite activity of the week - it is fun, progressive, themed, has great characters which my little girl adores and our teacher is just fantastic. All of our teachers have been outstanding and the office team are always going above and beyond, they really are so patient and helpful. Would I reconmend Water Babies - absolutely! Do it!

We paid for our gorgeous grandson to attend Waterbabies paying for his lessons for his Birthday and Xmas gifts for 2 years. His parents would have been unable to afford them but we all wanted him to learn to swim and be safe in water, aswell as enjoying the water. Waterbabies was recommended as the best and it solved what we gifted him instead of more unnecessary toys. He absolutely LOVED HIS LESSONS. He has no fear of being in the water and has learnt how to keep himself safe in water. Highly recommended!

We love water babies and see it as a complete necessity! We currently have our second child in lessons at the moment. They both learnt so much that we didn’t even realise was possible so young. Our first was swimming by herself before she started school and our second looks like she’ll be the same! The confidence they both have in the water is amazing. It’s not only in the water but out of it too, helping with counting and colours and talking in general!
