Flies on the buffet food

Our stay was at Holme Lacey House near Hereford. One of the Warner Leisure hotels. We visited the market garden restaurant for breakfast and Dinner when we noticed that the buffet food on the centre stall underneath the skylight window was crawling with green-bottle flies, they were also crawling on the mirror behind our table. For this reason we avoided selecting food from this area so our choice of buffet was limited to hot food only. I believe this was wholly unacceptable and constituted a safety hazard that could have resulted in an illness. We have visited other Warner hotels so much so that we are platinum guests and have never experienced this before.

A
Perfect Stay

I have stayed at 13 of the Warner Sites. Most recently was my 6th stay at Heythrop Park, my favourite of them all. The sheer expanse of the place is breathtaking. With a choice of 3 superb restaurants to dine in and 2 entertainment venues to enjoy visiting acts or the in-house entertainment team, it is the perfect place for a break.

Deteriorating Warner service

Warner have brought in a policy of not servicing rooms the day after arrival. This is appalling. We pay a lot of money to stay at Warner, we should not have to do our own housekeeping. We are disgusted about this new policy.

This was the first stay at The…

This was the first stay at The Runneymede on Thames, we have stayed at many Warner's before. We were welcomed at the reception and given our keys. There is only one small lift which is suppose to hold 6 but when you get wheelchairs in there is not much room even for the carer. Food was not as good as he has been other times and the activities which are now charged for was not good either. Prices had gone up with drinks etc but there was now a service charge on drinks brought to your table. The entertainment was very good and the room was clean and tided each day. We have decided that this would be our last Warner's holiday as we cannot see things getting any betteer

Staying in Nidd Hall, Harrogate

Staying in Nidd Hall, Harrogate,. Arrived today for a 3 night stay. Hotel interior looks tired. Room smells of what we have been told is the cleaning fluid they use, not nice. Pillow inner was falling apart and dirty, inside window full of mold, cobwebs behind the curtains. Dinner was Luke warm, queue at the bar a 10+ minute wait. I want to go home. No way will I pay over Β£700 to stay in one of these places again.

Afternoon tea at Sinah Warren.

My wife and I had afternoon tea at Sinah Warren in Hayling Island. What an absolutely delightful special tea in The Mad Hatters Tea Room. The service was superb, fresh sandwiches, gorgeous scones, scrummy cakes, 5 stars. We found the staff exceptionally helpful especially Adriana who really made us feel welcome, really pulling out the stops with a gold welcome for our 60th meeting. What a lovely way to celebrate our life together.

Avoid room 61

I belong to a group of 8 who holiday together and started to use Warners last year and had a great time in Wales. This year at Alvaston Hall for me and my friend it wasn’t so good, The room we were allocated 61 was such a let down and had this been our first experience it would certainly have been our last. Other friends had good rooms. Ours was dark the bathroom was so tiny the shower was dangerous it was so small you couldn’t turn around in it, I am less than five foot size 16 any bigger we would have had to reject the room, The toilet seat belonged to another shape of toilet and the whole room looked very tired. I appreciate if you are altering the rooms they can’t all be done together but if this is what a customer thought all rooms were like this one well Warners would lose business. I compared the food from our previous stay and the presentation was not as good and one night my chicken was pink inside. The staff were excellent especially in the restaurant and bars. The entertainment also excellent and apparently the leisure facilities would have been excellent had they all been working. Don’t let me put you off coming here but if they offer you room 61 decline, Think next year back to Centre Parcs.

Currently staying in Bembridge

Currently staying in Bembridge. Have stayed before. Really gone down hill. Waiting staff slow. Food greasy. Standards really dropped. Very disappointed.

Great Customer Service

We have taken many holidays with Warner Leisure over the last 20 years and always had a great time, with everything perfect. However, during one of our breaks in February this year, it became necessary to raise a complaint. John Newton from Warner Leisure immediately rang me to apologise and offered a fully acceptable resolution to the problem. Any Company can make an occasional mistake but a lot can be measured by how they deal with it. They restored my faith in them and we are now looking forward to our next break with them.

The Brasserie restaurant Home Lacy

The Brasserie restaurant. Very poor for dinner. Two nights running peas and beans swamping the plate. Chicken tough as old boots. A runny liquid with the pigs cheeks. Supposedly gravy. Have changed our booking to the Market Kitchen. Heythrop was excellent but not this one!

Firstly the positives and then the downsides.

Firstly the positives. No kids, no dogs, good food, value for money, nice room with garden view. By the way this a review of Heythrop Park. And now the downside. Too far from the carparks, especially for disabled people and if the weather is bad. Too far from the spa area for the same reasons as above(although they are building a covered walkway). No formal dancing and the dance floor is very tiny and would not hold more than 10 jiggers. In the market kitchen the tables are very close together and you are given a different table every night. The whole experience is like school dinners. The hotel is too crowded. In my experience you should not register a credit or debit card because you can find another persons costs on your bill. Certainly check your room bill every day. The hot water in your room can take quite a while to come through.

Just arrived at Littlecote hotel never again

Just arrived at Littlecote hotel. First and last time with Warner's. Booked a ground floor room with patio area. Did not get that and window will not even open. Carpets are all worn in the hall and a trip hazard. I am in a wheelchair and the floors in the modern section feel like you are on a bucking bronco. Been to reception and nobody can review our room. Really bad service. Not happy at all. If it was not for the fact it is a treat for my husband's birthday I would get back in the car and drive home.
