Absolute conmen

Absolute conmen. Garbage of a company. I gave them my yearly usage, agreed a DD cost, after the cooling off period they demanded more. I offered to pay a yr in advance, they agreed but refused to lower DD. DO NOT SWITCH TO THIS COMPANY. I'll be demanding a refund for credit and also be switching as soon as I can.

just switched to Tulo Energy, very helpful during the change, had a complication but they managed to sort it for me very quickly.

No flexibility about monthly payment

I have just looked at Tulo after the MoneySavingExpert website suggested they would offer a 13% saving over EDF who are my current supplier. Prompted by Myles Mander's review on here I contacted Tulo to see whether the suggested monthy DD is negotiable either before or during the contract. CONTRARY TO THE RESPONSE GIVEN TO MYLES MANDER'S POST I was told the direct debit amount is NOT negotiable either before or during the contract. It is June. I will use almost no energy over the next four months. By that time at the DD amount listed Tulo would have charged me £400 no doubt for most of this sitting in credit on my account. By contrast I currently owe EDF £1400 on a DD only £10 more than Tulo's. The money is better off in my pocket than the energy companies so I will wait until October and see if Tulo's deal is still available (unlikely).

Very easy switch

Very easy switch over without any problems. Although the communication is automated it is informative. Only issue I have is that my smart meter electrical readings aren’t updating but I don’t think this is the fault of Tulo Energy.
