I had damage charges on a rental car. TID covered the excess. THe rental company (Hertz) was not that helpful during the claim process but TID were excellent - claim process easy, kept me updated re status and met their quoted times for responses. I would have no hesitation in using them again.

I recently had a very serious injury whilst travelling and my TID travel insurance took care of everything with no hassle. I spent 12 days in hospital with 2 operations and then was escorted home business class with a quality doctor to continue treatment on the plane. No expense was spared for my claim. it was easily the best $83 I ever spent! I would highly recommend TID to anyone.

I have, thankfully, never had to make a claim yet, but I have always felt confident with TID to the point where I have recommended you to my friends.

Although the initial part of the claim process was difficult due to the number of receipts I had to send through and the size limit imposed on emails (totally understandable, most companies have these restrictions) the rest of the process was easy. The service was excellent, we received plenty of support and updates via email and our claim was processed and the funds transferred to my account. Great service, I've already booked more insurance with TID and highly recommend them.

Spent a day in hospital overseas, making a claim was easy, TID communicated directly with the hospital. The process simple and pain free. Very happy with TID.

Delayed in Bali as volcanic ash clouds prevented aircraft movements. Incurred additional accommodation and travel (had to book another carrier) costs. We were reimbursed in full with no delay. Claim process was painless.

I was travelling in America for an extended period, whilst in NYC I was playing a game of basketball with a friend. I sprinted after the ball and while doing so completely ruptured my Achilles tendon. I was referred by my roommate to a very good surgeon but was worried because I didnt know if my travel insurance would fully cover my ensuing surgery. Thankfully my TID insurance covered my entire surgery and additional treatment include rehabilitation. Had I not had TID insurance it would have ruined my trip. I'd strongly recommend TID, great comprehensive coverage and extremely friendly and easy to deal with staff.

I broke my collarbone in Whistler when I was biking. I emailed TID and told them I would need surgery and before that could happen I would need them to agree to paying the surgeon. They were quick to respond and got in contact with the surgeon to organise payment - it was one less thing to worry about with them dealing directly with the surgeon. I had the surgery in Vancouver and was then transported back to Whistler. After the surgery they kept checking up on me to make sure I was doing well and offered me physio treatment (which I didn't expect!) at a place of my choice. They also paid for the pre and post surgery visits to the hospital. Couldn't have been better (well, unless they could reverse time and prevent me from breaking my collarbone altogether).

I don't normally commend organisations, however Travel Insurance Direct (TID) deserve this! My family and I were caught up in the Bali volcano fiasco, our Jetstar Australia flight home was delayed by 7 days! Due to work commitments I needed to be back in Australia therefore decided to fly home via Malaysia Airlines. TID have been fantastic! They covered our flights, including additional accommodation without question. Unfortunately Jetstar were not as accommodating and difficult to deal with, during the disruptions and also when requesting a refund. I unreservedly recommend TID, sadly I don't have a good thing to say about Jetstar.

Excellent value for money, easy to deal with and quick to process and pay out on accepted claims. Have used them for 3 overseas trips and see no reason not to continue doing so.

As this was my 1st claim after 20 overseas trips 7 of with TID travel insurance. The help was best I could ever have imagined. I found out information from the claim agent that I did not know. She was extremely helpful Found out who you can trust and who you do need to question.

We have always used TID for our travels over the years, but have only ever had to make 1 claim during this time. I was very nervous about this having heard lots of stories about travel claims in general, but it was so nice to know that making a claim with TID is as easy as taking out the insurance in the first place! Thankyou TID!!

I recently made a claim with TID and found it easier than I thought it would be paper work was not a hassle and had my refund in my account within 3 weeks , was happy with service.

We got caught in the Bali ash cloud delays. $2500 out of pocket for extra accommodation & meals for family of 4. Got reimbursed within a few days with no hassle at all. Great! Well recommended. p.s. love their app. Without it would would not have known of the Rup200K per person departure tax, payable in local currency only.

I have never had to make a claim before, and after needing to see a doctor overseas was dubious about having a claim accepted or getting anything back, particularly as I had gone with one of the cheapest policies I could find. Travel Insurance Direct was responsive, getting back to me within the time they told me they would, and flexible - accepting my claim even though I was missing one piece of documentation. I will definitely keep using TID and would recommend them to anyone.

Recently I had to make a claim due to a death in the family before I had even left on my holiday and once again the people at TID were excellent to deal with both by phone and email during this difficult time. The claims process was very easy to follow and I was kept informed at every stage until the final outcome. If you are ever contemplating taking a holiday it is a must that you take out travel insurance and I highly recommend using TID for your next adventure.

Found TID premium reasonably priced! Had to make a claim due to medical condition while on holiday. While I found making claim on-line a little daunting, the claim was handled swiftly and efficiently with no haggling!

Had a claim for car damage in Spain. BTW, get a full cover if you ate planning to drive there as streets are narrow and so internal car parks, locals drive small cars and they are full of scratches. We got hire car insurance included for an extra $25 or so with TID and it was so worth it! We damaged the car in the underground car park and the bill was $860. I put the claim when we returned, easy application, send it through email and next heard that it is accepted and the money will be paid to us. That was easy!
