Snacks were great and varied

Snacks were great and varied. Shipping could have been faster but this is coming from Japan so it’s understandable that it took some time. Also being that the weather was getting warmer when I ordered the box, some of the snacks with chocolate melted a little, however the snacks still tasted great!

Delicious and unique I 100% recommend you try.

The snacks are really delicious and the drinks are also lovely. There is also always a type of Kit Kat within them, they are always different and really unique. It’s also really nice to be able to experience food from Japan as some of the items are things you’d never see in the UK.

No Refunds, Dodgy Renewals, Scammy Behaviour.

TokyoTreat seems good at first but if you’re not super observant, you’ll end up severely out of pocket. I was unfortunate to be hit by this, I took out a one month subscription, planning to cancel before the next, but got the day of renewal wrong, so I was hit by an unexpected 12 month subscription renewal! It turned out they’d automatically changed the subscription length without telling me, and auto billed it. When I tried to ask them to cancel and refund it they refused saying that refunds are not something they do, and every time I insisted that I had not agreed to a 12 month subscription they would brush me off telling me “don’t worry we’ll send you the boxes” instead of refunding, which under local consumer laws they are required to do. After a failed dispute with PayPal I ended up going to my bank and starting a chargeback, that took 12 months to resolve! The company was completely dishonest about their renewals, hid the fact that they don’t refund even if they only billed you 10 minutes before, and will even break consumer law. Don’t trust this company with your money or bank details! EDIT: Following on with the comment from the seller, they changed my subscription without my consent from 1 to 12 months, I confirmed this happened without my being informed, and that I never agreed to a 12 month subscription (which is why my bank returned my money) There is a difference between a recurring subscription that is consented to, and what they've done, it's called bait and switch and is a type of fraud. TokyoTreats customer service was my first point of contact, and they refused to read my messages, sent generic clearly templated replies like the one below and deliberately misunderstood my clear request for an immediate refund within the first day of the subscription renewal prior to any product being shipped. (By law here all contract renewals like this have a 7 day cooling off period) They know this is an issue, they don't even try to send a reminder to let you know a renewal date is upcoming unlike any other reputable service, their behaviour is deliberate and deceptive and cannot be trusted. Finally, when I submitted this review, Tokyotreat flagged it saying I wasn't a customer, and tried to have it removed. They clearly don't want negative feedback and will do whatever they can to suppress it. Fortunately I keep records, and was able to send proof that the incident happened and that I was a customer.

Great! Even for picky eaters!

So many great options with these treat boxes! Even someone who is picky can find something they would like every time. I always look forward to the limited/exotic flavors of KitKat I get each month.

Exciting colourful boxes

The boxes are always visually different which makes receiving them so exciting! Always so neatly packaged, we love reading about each one before deciding which one to eat. Has become a great bonding activity with my teenage son!

The package came in nicely

The package came in nicely. The box looks good. No damage of snacks. Good varieties and tasty. They even included a beautiful color English booklet to describe every single snack there. So no worries about what you are eating if you don't know Japanese.

Deliciously satisfying

Delicious, excellent variety, every month is exciting and satisfying! Never been disappointed with a box. Even treats I wouldn't expect to like, I end up enjoying! I love being able to explore new treats with the wonderful booklet telling me what it is, why it's popular, where it comes from, and what it contains There is no ambiguity to the snacks, which makes it a stress-free way to experience Japan from home!

A taste of Japan snacks without the need for travelling

The box allows me to have a taste of japan snacks without having to take the plane. It includes sweet and savory snacks and there's also ramen in a bowl and drinks. There's eve a booklet which give small explanation of the snacks and the list of ingredients in case someone might be allergic to certain food. I must say this is my first subscription box and i'm very satisfied with the variety and assortment. The price is a bit steep but I would still highly recommend.😄

TokyoTreats is great!

I love how the treats are actually from Japan and the booklet that describes Japan! It’s pretty allergy friendly, they list allergens and potential allergens in the booklet. I also love how they provide both sweet and savory snacks so there is something for everyone!
