Sold my old phone to The Mobile Guru. Super easy process. They gave me a quote, I posted the phone to them using the postage label they emailed me, and a couple of days later the money was transferred to my bank account. Easy cash for an unwanted phone. Also good to know that my phone gets a second lease on life.
They gave a quote. Reviewed and approved the quote day after I sent it. Paid the next day. Very smooth interaction.

I traded in my phone with Mobile Guru Australia and was initially quoted $730 after providing accurate details about the condition of the device. Once they received the phone, they claimed it was in a different condition (which is untrue) and reduced the payment significantly—far below the agreed amount. I asked them to return the phone (which they say is an option) and they didn't. I have contacted them multiple times via email to dispute the decision, but they have completely ignored all communication. If you're considering using Mobile Guru, think twice. They appear to operate in bad faith and prey on customers who don’t have the time or energy to fight small claims. If you’ve also been shortchanged and are being ignored, I encourage you to contact your carrier and block the IMEI. This will render the phone unusable on most networks, and it's a legitimate way to protect yourself from being scammed. You can usually do this by reporting the phone as "lost or stolen" through your provider, as receiving less than the agreed amount qualifies as stolen. Consumers deserve better. Companies like this should be held accountable. Share your story and take action—don’t let them profit from dishonest practices.
