Ich wollte meine Sprache verbessern und neue lernen, habe dafür sogar gezahlt. Inzwischen gibt es nur noch die Themen „Hochzeit“ und sowas aus dem südländischen Raum. Sehr schade. Dazu kommen sehr viele technische Ausfälle. Ich habe gekündigt.

L'app è infestata di ragazze (soprattutto dell'est, orientali) che dopo una normale conversazione vi spingono a vedervi su altri social per continuare la conversazione. Dopo vi chiedono di fare una videochiamata e il tutto assume toni erotici, chiedendovi di fare altrettanto cose e mostrare parti del corpo (lei in realtà sta registrando il tutto a vostra insaputa). Dopo parte il ricatto e la minaccia di diffusione delle immagini in cambio di denaro. Fate molta attenzione!

‼️ Achtung an die Damen! Da sind sehr viele Betrüger unterwegs (romance scammer). Auch mit mehreren Profilen versuchen sie ihr Glück. Nette Fotos von gut aussehenden Herren, die aber nicht real sind. Ich erkenne die sofort. Und wenn man zu Deutsch wechselt, dann antwortet sie wieder auf Englisch. 😄 Also nochmal: ‼️ Augen auf ‼️

DELUSIONE TOTALE ... sono iscritta da pochi giorni ma delusione totale. Volevo imparare inglese e offrivo lezioni in italiano ma ho trovato solo UOMINI, che vogliono sapere tutto della mia vita e comunicano SOLO CON TRADUTTORE e non hanno nessuna intenzione di imparare l'italiano. Confermo altre recensioni: sembra un sito di incontri. TUTTI sono ingenieri, avvocati, generali, ecc (uno con un lavoro normale non esiste.... Non fanno videochiamate perché "non possono". Non hanno facebook ne altro... Insomma non sono rintracciabili (x poter controllare ) insistono nel parlare... parlare... parlare... e chiedere... chiedere... hanno tutti qualche tragedia familiare . tutti separati... Insomma non gliene frega niente di imparare italiano.. e si va avanti con il traduttore. Io continuo a sforzarmi di scrivere e uso il traduttore solo al bisogno... Neanche mi correggono se sbaglio nonostante lo chiedo in continuazione. Poi insisto che anche loro devono scrivere in italiano senza traduttore ma rispondono che è più comodo così... Quindi assolutamente NON CI SIAMO... Peccato... poteva essere una bella occasione. Non é colpa del gruppo Tandem.ke loro intenzioni erano buone ma si infiltrano questi personaggi che rovinano tutto. Dovrebbero chiedere a tutti un'iscrizione seria con documento e controlli....

Hi all! they are still serious people like me but as it's a free app and website, there are lots of not serious people. U can figure it out quickly with the google image search or if the profile is quite empty plus u can ask for voice messages. Stay serious, don't let go, write long messages and u will find serious people ;) also report fake profiles.

Useless app. In the first 24 hours after registration I got only 23 profile views! It's ridiculous, in any other app you got at least 100 when your profile is new. I think it's made to make you buy VIP status. People there also not really interested in talking. No messages, no response to your message. Although I carefully filled out the profile and added good photos. Especially "funny" when someone mentioned in their profile they would like to learn your native language, have positive reviews ("nice to talk with", "good interlocutor" etc) and then simply doesn't respond to your message

Hatte mir erhofft, mit dieser App spanische Sprachpartner zu finden, die ihrerseits Deutsch lernen möchten. Allerdings bin ich ziemlich schnell ins Grübeln gekommen, ob ich wirklich mit Fremden - wo ich noch nicht mal weiß, ob das Profil echt ist, über private Themen sprechen möchte. Mit Smalltalk, a la "Wie geht's", "Warum lernst Du..." komme ich nicht weiter. Es ist mir persönlich zu unsicher, da etwas über mich preiszugeben.

Ich hatte mir viel von der App erhofft. Wurde nach der Anmeldung in Windeseile von ganz vielen männlichen Profilen angeschrieben. Leider waren alle mit denen ich in den Austausch gegangen bin Betrugsprofile. Immer wieder nach kurzer Zeit die Frage nach dem Wechsel zu WhatsApp oder ähnliches. Wirklich traurig. Leider überhaupt nicht zu empfehlen.

Mods seem to wield their power arbitrarily, handing out warnings or bans for the most trivial and unfair reasons on Tandem. Recently, I politely expressed my desire to end a one-sided conversation, and the other user turned it into a drama. When I told them I did not want to start arguing about it they blocked and reported me. No foul language was used, but Tandem deemed this a violation anyway, which seems absurd. My friend was permanently banned months ago (that is also a permanent device ban) for a harmless compliment on someone's smile, despite having a pro membership and countless positive reviews from other users. Users can make up any story about another user and irrespective of its accuracy you'll be at the risk of being warned or banned. Suffice to say Tandem appears more focused on taking money and randomly banning users than maintaining fair moderation. Rather than addressing the abundance of fake profiles, scammers, and explicit images sent randomly by other users they go after harmless conversations. Had they chosen to strictly enforce their quite arbitrarily rules it would likely result in the permanent suspension of a significant portion of their userbase. To be more specific, the claim that the app is strictly for language exchange isn't fooling anyone. While it certainly might be the intended goal, even Tandem knows that it's not the reality as the userbase also use it for other purposes (friendship, making new connections from abroad, making travel buddies, dating etc) There should be a more transparent process around this – users deserve to know the specific reasons for warnings/bans. In addition, for very clear violations a temporary ban, based on the severity of the violation, would be more sensible than a permanent one-size-fits-all approach. Tandem needs to reevaluate its priorities and create a system that truly promotes a positive environment.

I am sharing my disappointment with the recent suspension of my Tandem account, as notified by the Tandem Support Team. The email vaguely cited "complaints" without providing specifics or concrete evidence, leaving me with uncertainties regarding the alleged violations. The unilateral decision to ban my account without an opportunity for review or appeal adds to the sense of injustice. A more transparent and fair process is crucial for user trust and satisfaction. Furthermore, it has come to my attention that Tandem may be hosting discussions that involve the propagation of views associated with globally recognized terrorist groups and anti-Semitic ideologies. This observation raises significant concerns about the platform's commitment to maintaining a safe and positive environment.

Hat mein Handy oft überhitzt. Die App stürzt oft ab.

Une application capable de bannir comme un malpropre un utilisateur, qui, au fil des années: -a accumulé des centaines de rencontres -des centaines de références positives (ie: avis d'autres utilisateurs à propos de moi) -a fait vivre la communauté -payé trois abonnements annuels -aide à faire supprimer des centaines de comptes indésirables -a contribué a développer l'application et à la faire s'améliorer Et ce, sans aucune explication même après demande explicite de ma part via le support (ce qui contredit au passage leurs règles car il y est écrit qu'une contestation de ban est possible) à part un vulgaire copier coller.. Ne mérite que du mépris et de la defiance. Si vous voulez claquer votre argent et votre temps là dedans, allez y. Vous serez jeté sans raison ensuite. La pire des apps sociales que j'ai jamais vu. À fermer.

Impossible to unsubscribe from their incessant emails and impossible to contact anything which resembles any sort of human being. The service is expensive and the cost is not obvious until you are in their system.

Scaricata per implementare l'inglese, in realtà si dimostra un sito di incontri, nel mio caso solo ragazze soprattutto orientali che cercavano tutto tranne che imparare una lingua. Fuorviante è dir poco...

Habe die App installiert, weil ich einen Tandem Partner gesucht habe, um effektiv meine Zielsprache zu lernen. Die Google Suche hat mir wohl einen Streich gespielt. Das was die App vorgibt, finden man dort definitiv NICHT. Man wird sehr schnell angeschrieben, aber das Resultat ist zu 99% das selbe: Es sind viele Fake Profile unterwegs, Frauen die dich anschreiben und zu Telegram, Whatsapp usw schleusen wollen, um dir von ihren tollen Investments zu erzählen. Hatte die App dann eigentlich nicht mehr verwendet. Letzte Woche kamen Meldungen auf mein Handy, wodurch ich wieder ein wenig aktiv wurde. 2 Nette Leute und sonst wieder penetrante Frauen. Heute wurde mein Account dann grundlos gesperrt. Zusammenfassend zweifle ich daran, ob diese App einen Wert für Lernende hat.

After a week on Tandem I found many people that helped me to learn the language I'm interested in and many real people contacted me to help them to get better in my native language. I have never encountered any scammers but there're plenty of weird people. As Tandem seems to be a useful tool I bought a subscription. I don't think it helps much but this was my way to say thank you to the creators. As for weird people: 1. People without any intention to talk at all. They just say hi, how are you, etc. Without introducing themselves, without any further intent to discuss something 2. People who just want to talk. They choose 5+ languages they are "learning" just to find more people 3. People who are bored and randomly got an idea to learn a language X and dowloaded the app. They will drop conversation in 15 minutes when due to their short attention span they switch to something else. Tandem should only allow to find people in language X after an exam (questions from first 2 units of duolingo would be enough). And allow pro subscribers to hide themselves from bored unmotivated lazy people. These people are cancer in the community.
