Obwohl ich mein Talkpalkonto gelöscht habe, haben sie trotzdem den Betrag für das Premium-Abo abgebucht. Jetzt habe ich für das Premium-Abo bezahlt, das ich nicht nutzen kann. Ich war nur auf der Website registriert und hatte keine App. Auf der Website steht, dass das Löschen des Kontos automatisch das Abo beendet. Dies ist jedoch nicht der Fall. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich eine Antwort vom Kundenservice bekommen werde. Allerdings werde ich meine Debitkarte blockieren.

I discovered this app to fix my "broken English" as a Frenchie. A bit complicated at first (silly of me, never remembering to put the myc on !)... Then a real pleasure to exchange with a "native English" (actually generated by IA). Most of the mistakes are corrected in the daily email received afterward. It is very encouraging even if the rating may be superfluous. When I had to contact the customer service for a connection issue, they were very responsive even though I was using the free version. I am going to upgrade to the premium version with a 15-day free trial. Looking forward to testing my speaking skills on my next trip to the UK !

I subscribed for 1 year, and the app run slower and slower. I used sentence mode to practice but the app sometime doesn't work after I record my reading and asked to read again and again. This makes me very annoyed. I send my complain to the CS, but it doesn't improve at all.

There is no way to cancel the subscription. Once you entered your card details, that's it they will charge you monthly, even if you cancel the memebership and delete your account.

I visited their website, and started filling in “an application”. But when I saw the feedback here, I immediately canceled everything. I had logged with my google account. I did NOT proceed with the subscription, but a few minutes later I got an e-mail saying that my trial subscription had started. 😡😡😡😡😡 I have sent them an e-mail asking them to cancel that right away. This is a complete absurd! —————— Talkpal has answered to my e-mail saying that they could not find any active subscription in my name. There was no problem at all then.

TERRIBLE! I subscribed to learn Polish. A chat bot jabbered with me over dribble for ten minutes before I asked when I would start learning. Then it asked me what language I wanted to learn even though I had already been asked that multiple times. Finally, when Polish words came up, the bot flat out mispronounced them. Talking to the bot was like talking to a phone service rep for a cable company. Baloney dribble like thanking me for answering its questions and commenting on my answers as if I needed validated by a bot. The worst. DO NOT SUBSRIBE TO TALKPAL.

UPDATE 17.02.2025 : Since posting the below, customer service contacted me and restored my Premium access. The app is very good for me. customer service is a little slow. 15.02.2025 Went well at first - paid for the upgrade but after they took the money all Premium features stopped working. Have tried to contact the company and they have not responded. Have tried 3 or 4 times and there is no response.

I took the "free" trial and when I wanted to cancel the subscription the button didn't work, so I deleted my account and they made me pay anyway... I lost 60 euros... Finally I've got refund after 2 days.

Laut App habe ich ein aktives Premium Abo, und zwar die monatliche Variante. Zum einen kann ich mich nicht erinnern, dieses Abo abgeschlossen zu haben, zum anderen habe ich dazu keine E-Mail Bestätigung erhalten. Auch in meinem Google Play Account ist dieses Abo nicht gelistet. Die Premium Dienste kann ich auch nicht nutzen. Das Abo kann ich auch nicht kündigen, zumindest nicht über die App. Ich hoffe sehr auf eine schnelle Antwort des Kundenservice, da ich keine Lust habe, 12 Euro monatlich für ein fiktives Abo zu bezahlen
