Obwohl ich mein Talkpalkonto gelöscht habe, haben sie trotzdem den Betrag für das Premium-Abo abgebucht. Jetzt habe ich für das Premium-Abo bezahlt, das ich nicht nutzen kann. Ich war nur auf der Website registriert und hatte keine App. Auf der Website steht, dass das Löschen des Kontos automatisch das Abo beendet. Dies ist jedoch nicht der Fall. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich eine Antwort vom Kundenservice bekommen werde. Allerdings werde ich meine Debitkarte blockieren.

This app is amazing!
This app is amazing! I have a very busy schedule, and it was impossible for me to squeeze in Spanish lessons. This app saved me - I practiced whenever and wherever I wanted to! They have different modes for learning, but for me, the best one was the Roleplay mode. I managed to visibly improve my Spanish skills in a month or so... It also provides you with reviews of what you need to improve, and how to become better! Absolutely recommend Talkpal!

Ok, but still needs quite a lot of improvement
Their Chat tool is great for those who want to practice languages or pronunciation. Their only avatar is called Emma. It’s good to talk to her. Strangely enough, in the free version, she sounds a lot more human and genuine than in the Premium paid version, where she unfortunately becomes too inauthentic, over the top, and phoney. They should definitely also have other characters users can speak with: of different genders, with different voices, personalities, intonation patterns, etc. As a man trying to improve my pronunciation, I miss having a masculine voice as a reference. Mirroring a voice similar to mine would definitely allow me to make more progress. It's also weird that Emma is unaware we're having an audio conversation. She acts as if we were exchanging written messages. She sometimes says untrue things like "I can't pronounce words", of “if I had a voice, it would sound like…”. Furthermore, Talkpal’s corrections are often completely off, focussing on punctuation and written communication, even though you’re talking! That’s a big drawback! In the Premium paid version, they do have a pronunciation tool, but it only offers you two general scores, one on overall accuracy and another one on overall fluency. That’s it. They neither allow you to play back what you just said nor offer you any specific feedback on the sounds you need to improve. Overall, ok, but still needs a lot of improvement. The Premium version was not worth it for me.

Great for practicing
I used TalkPal for two months before traveling to France. My goal was to duplicate the types of conversations I knew I would be having once I got there. I'm a beginner, so I also used Duolingo to gain a basic understanding of simple phrases. Then switched to TalkPal for practice. Chat worked well for this! It's like having a French speaker who adjusts their vocabulary to a beginner's level, then has whatever conversation you want. The instructor corrects your mistakes but continues on with the conversation. You can enter your part of the conversation by typing or by recording your voice. C'est perfect! Merci pour votre aide!

Excellent app for languages
My experience with this app has been excellent. I learn a lot every day. You can choose any language, and it offers various exercises to help you talk about any topic. You don’t just have a conversation with the teacher, but also role-play games, discussions, debates, photo descriptions, and other advantages. Also, when I had an issue with my account, the app’s team resolved it quickly. I highly recommend it

Sehr gut um in einer Fremdsprache reden zu lernen
Talkpal gefällt mir sehr gut, da hilfreich um Sätze und Vokabeln zu lernen die nach Themen geordnet sind, um mit einer „KI“ mit sympathischer Stimme zu selbst gewählten Themen zu sprechen und zu diskutieren (dies mit minimaler Reaktionszeit) und schliesslich, die kompetente und hilfreiche Menschen im Hintergrund hat welche für Notfälle erreichbar sind.

serious and trustworthy
The company is really serious and trustworthy. Someoe downloaded the APP using my paypal without my authorization. They agreed to cancel the subscription and refunded the total amount. Some other companies would have not done so, stating it was not their fault. Instead at Talkpal they were very helpful to try to solve the problem for me and helped me with the refund. Really appreciated!

Noch viel zu verbessern
Die App unterstützt das Sprechen sehr gut. Im Anfängermodus wird zu viel gefordert. Man müsste mit einfacheren Sätzen und Dialogen anfangen. Leider ist die Übersetzung vom Portugiesischen ins Deutsche nicht immer richtig. Außerdem werden oft brasilianische Wörter verwendet, obwohl ich europäisches Portugiesisch gebucht habe.
