Their new notification policy is a nightmare. I've been with them over a year. Suddenly when they take payment they text notifications overnight eg almost 1am or 7am when everyone is sleeping. Most people keep their phones open overnight eg for emergencies. Nothing gives them the right to wake us up.
Email confirmations. Don't text!! I told them last month they had woken me up. I was fuming. They assured me they would turn off notifications. They did not. This month they texted me at 12.40AM!! This is highly unethical and violates UK noise pollution laws.
Businesses cannot contact consumers outside reasonable business hours. This means 8am to 11pm.
I wish to profusely thank Talk Home staffer Mr Adam who provied excellent support through 'Chat' function on 5 July 2025. This Chat I tried after repeated failing to get anyone, even worse disconnection while trying to speak with Talk Home Mobile team. so their phone does not work but luckily chat worked and more luckily Mr Adam was fantastic. I would highly recommend this UK mobile SIM provider. Talk Home Mobile even offers a £2.50 per month package for 1GB of Data, 100 Texts & 100 Minutes. This is unique. The cheapest SIM you can get from other Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) in the UK is £5 per month. I got my EE Huawei smartphone unlocked a few years ago & since then I have used MVNOs. More people should unlock themselves from the big UK networks -we need competition. I was able to purchase a mobile unlock code from Ebay for a small fee (I would also recommend this). All you need to do is Text PAC to 65075 from your EXISTING SIM (you then get sent a PAC code by text), then you can transfer your own number to your new Talk Home Mobile SIM (received via post once ordered online). I now use my Talk Home Mobile SIM to use the internet at home on other devices (all you need to do is turn on the HOTSPOT on your smartphone). I can then use my laptop (& other devices) at home without any trouble. Previously I was paying for home broadband for £18 per month (now cancelled). Why pay £18 (or more) per month when you can just pay £2.50 per month with Talk Home Mobile? The added bonus is, if I go out, the internet goes with me, as I usually take my mobile with me! I use the internet at home for simple online tasks, e.g. internet banking - hence 1GB of data per month is sufficient. My neighbours might be paying £30 or £40 a month for their internet / broadband. I pay £2.50 per month, thanks to Talk Home Mobile. It would also be possible to use a Talk Home Mobile SIM in a dongle for a laptop or tablet - but obviously you would not benefit from the calls & texts allowance - without having to move the SIM between devices. However, if you regularly stream videos online etc. you might require home broadband. Finally, any time I've had to contact Talk Home Mobile customer services (by email or online chat), any problems were quickly resolved. On one occasion, my email was answered within minutes. Online chat was also always available. Very happy with my experience. I have no intention of changing SIM provider again. I will be staying with Talk Home Mobile. Talk Home Mobile is a MVNO powered by the UK EE network.
I have been using talk home pay as you go service for all my international calls for almost 5 years, and it is cheap. The line is very clear, and i do not get any distortions. The best service for international calls.
I have been using Talk home network for a number of years to make international calls. I have found them very reliable. The line is always clear and the cost is reasonable compared to other networks that offer international call tarrifs. You definitely get more minutes for your money with Talk Home Mobile! The customer service is great. When I changed my phone and needed a new Sim, they sent me a new one the next day free of charge and transferred all my credit without any problems. I highly recommend Talk Home Mobile.
I grew up in Holland where my mother would buy a Talk Home calling card to keep in touch with our relatives back home. I remember how she would send us out in the rain ( or whilst we were in the middle of playing Super Mario...not cool)to purchase a calling card for her.
My mum is now retired and back home in Ghana. The roles have reversed and now I call my mother using Talk Home. The only difference is that my children can relax and continue playing on their Nintendo come rain or shine because I can top up or purchase a calling card without leaving the comfort of my house! I can now insert a Talk Home sim card and call all my loved ones abroad......Amazing
I have been with Talk Home for many years, after switching from other networks that didn’t suit me. Talk Home is fantastic, it is the best network provider with convenient pricing and excellent internet. I thank the staff that are working very hard on renewing and improving the site making it very easy to access. I would highly recommend Talk Home for everyone who is looking for a mobile phone network.
