Noise Pollution Violates UK Laws

Their new notification policy is a nightmare. I've been with them over a year. Suddenly when they take payment they text notifications overnight eg almost 1am or 7am when everyone is sleeping. Most people keep their phones open overnight eg for emergencies. Nothing gives them the right to wake us up. Email confirmations. Don't text!! I told them last month they had woken me up. I was fuming. They assured me they would turn off notifications. They did not. This month they texted me at 12.40AM!! This is highly unethical and violates UK noise pollution laws. Businesses cannot contact consumers outside reasonable business hours. This means 8am to 11pm.

I wish to profusely thank Talk Home staffer Mr Adam who provied excellent support through 'Chat' function on 5 July 2025. This Chat I tried after repeated failing to get anyone, even worse disconnection while trying to speak with Talk Home Mobile team. so their phone does not work but luckily chat worked and more luckily Mr Adam was fantastic. Thank you dear Adam

Excellent value for money

I've been with TalkHome for a couple of months, recently I had to switch only because the voicemail doesn't work outside UK, or at least mine didn't. Technical support tried to fix the issue several times but did not succeed, that's something to consider if you spend a lot of time abroad. Apart from that I can only speak highly about this hidden gem, starting from the very polite and professional customer service representatives. They reply in no time to emails, webchats, calls... it seems they're there waiting for me to contact them! The online account and app are very easy to use and internet is super fast and reliable as it's on EE network. All in all TalkHome provides excellent value for money and I don't see the point in paying far more for a "high street" network just to get the same (if you are lucky!) service.

Port in never happen

I did receive the SIM card on 16/11 and made a port in request on the same day. 17/11 didn't happened, I asked the CS and he said by the end of day. My previous service stopped here. Then asked the CS again, he replied by 20/11. Then today 21/11, still not yet ported in, and the CS saying no timelines can be given. It is ridiculous and I am afraid that my number is gone already.

Excellent customer service and response…

Excellent customer service and response time. I honestly didn't think that level of customer service existed in 2023. I signed online and called 24hrs later to cancel . Was very happy with what I was offered so decided to stay. Glad to see the back of o2 and their scam enabling service.

Port-in taken 4 days so far and counting

Thought I'd take advantage of a good Black Friday deal that popped up, and the EE network is good, so I ordered a SIM from TalkHome. I wasn't able to use my "@sky.com" email address as it "wasn't valid", so I created a "@gmail.com" email. I guess they only accept very specific domain names. It also took a little longer for SIM to arrive in the post than quoted, but that's fine, must be busy. However, porting in my old number is where the troubles start. On 15/11 I requested a SIM port-in to happen on 16/11 (I did think it was suspicious this could happen so quickly, I was even offered same day port-in when selecting the date on the calendar which I avoided!). On 16/11, the port failed, an error message appeared on the port-in page on the website, and I contacted customer service who said they re-requested the port for 17/11. On 17/11 my old number on the old network stops working, but isn't yet ported to the new SIM. I contact support who tell me it'll be done by end-of-day. It isn't. Contact support again on 18/11 who now tell me it won't be done until 20/11. It's now 20/11 and it still isn't ported. It's really unacceptable to be without your number for over 4 days. I recommend avoiding porting in your number to TalkHome.

I signed up for a deal today.

I signed up for a deal today with TalkHome but unfortunately their website would not accept my email address. I spoke to Adam who came up with a workaround and was very helpful. My sim is now on its way. Thank-you Adam.

Very helpful chat contact

I just moved do Talk home mobile. It was a bit chaotic (my fault) but the chat help was really good and helpful. In fact, all went well but they explained and clarified the process. So far very happy with Talk Home.
