Noise Pollution Violates UK Laws

Their new notification policy is a nightmare. I've been with them over a year. Suddenly when they take payment they text notifications overnight eg almost 1am or 7am when everyone is sleeping. Most people keep their phones open overnight eg for emergencies. Nothing gives them the right to wake us up. Email confirmations. Don't text!! I told them last month they had woken me up. I was fuming. They assured me they would turn off notifications. They did not. This month they texted me at 12.40AM!! This is highly unethical and violates UK noise pollution laws. Businesses cannot contact consumers outside reasonable business hours. This means 8am to 11pm.

Adam's support was great

I wish to profusely thank Talk Home staffer Mr Adam who provied excellent support through 'Chat' function on 5 July 2025. This Chat I tried after repeated failing to get anyone, even worse disconnection while trying to speak with Talk Home Mobile team. so their phone does not work but luckily chat worked and more luckily Mr Adam was fantastic. Thank you dear Adam

I bought talk home calling card online

I bought talk home calling card online, as soon as I was about to use the card, it’s was £2:56 that was inside the card.I advised myself not to use it. I then phone Nowtel, so Adam was able to solved my problem.

My bundle had expired

My bundle had expired, I called Talk home ( Adam in particular) took my complaint seriously, as credit I had had disappeared. Adam took time to check, explain, answer my questions. In my devastation Adam solved the problem, activated my bundle for the next 30days. Adam thank you for finding away to solve my problem. you really put asmile on my face. I really appreciate your great & prompt services. 👍 👍

So had high hopes but they cannot deliver

REVIEW UPDATE Part 2: Dec 7th 2023: My mother's SIM is now having issues where the porting is not going through and been over 6 days and it's her work number, issue still not resolved. My fiance could not receive calls from myself but could call me? - Unfortunately this next work is just not up to par, maybe in a few years but at the moment this company cannot deliver on the basics. ____________________ REVIEW UPDATE: 6th Dec 2023 - FOR ANDROID USERS WHO CANNOT GET MOBILE DATA TO WORK please read update: I could not get my mobile data to work, I called customer service and spoke with adam who told me he changed some setting his end and to restart my phone, this did not work. On their website they have a post called "Guide to APN settings" which is supposed to help you manually change the settings, again this did not work after trying numerous times. BUT i then realised they have wrote up the android section incorrectly. They state you need to change the MNC to 30. this is incorrect leave it as is, which for me was 33. This is a lot of effort and especially for those not too tech savvy. Ideally just make a YouTube video to help people with this. - Issue 2: Porting Number - My fiances number has still not ported over and now know one can reach her, called CS and was told end of day today (dec 6th) but was told this the last 2 days. ________________ ORIGINAL REVIEW: So as an avid changer of networks and happy to give the new kid in the block ago , my fiance and I decided to give talk home ago: Pros: - The app design and interface is pretty decent and nice to use. - The live chat customer service is pretty quick in response and polite. - The current price of a penny cannot be argued with. Cons: - The porting service: Me and my fiancé tried to port across, the first time it failed, then the second time mine went through but now my data does not work, but hers has not even gone over and now her original at Lebara has lost service, so now no one can get hold of her. - They seem to be out of their depth as the initial steps are going so wrong for so many customers. porting , getting what you paid for and having your number actually be contactable, should be the bare minimum a network should be able to deliver on. Hopefully tomorrow will provide more answers but if not we will have leave as soon as we have joined.

Horrible porting process

Horrible porting process. Switched to them on 29th and porting was supposed to happen on 30th. Never did, and my phone number is lost. And when I call customer support they're clueless, and not able to give me a timeline. They keep saying" yeah sorry, we're working on it" and blame the network that I switched from. The absolute worst network I have ever been in the UK. EDIT: THEY STILL HAVEN'T PORTED MY NUMBER AFTER 6 WEEKS. USELESS COMPANY AND USELESS CUSTOMER SERVICE

Terrible port in serivce.NEVER RECOMMEND

Terrible port in serivce. 29/11 request port in serive on 1/12 . And 1/12 my porting status became Error, after chat with agent, they said raised my request and will be done on Next monday(4/12). However, on Monday (4/12) it still nothing change at the morning and my porting number (other provider) is not working at noon. same day at 6pm i chat with TalkHome agent again , he said my request will completed anytime at the day(4/12) and told me I can check my status online at my account. but my status still showing Error and there's not port in as well! AND NOW MY ORIGNAL NUMBER IS NOT WORKING ! And I got some phone conference to do on coming days! HOW TO GET MY NUMBER BACK!? NEVER RECOMMEND TALKHOME!

Nothing but problems since moving to…

Nothing but problems since moving to this network so porting out now. Couldn’t use my phone in the USA and never alerts me of my voicemails . I also have calls going straight to voicemail due to bad signal so just not good enough

Horrible port in service

I submitted 2 port in requests via portal on 26 Nov but all failed on 27 Nov. Chatted with CS, they said they will help me submit the requests and will be completed on 28 Nov. Again. nothing happen on 28 Nov. Keep on communicating with CS on 29 Nov, they said relevant team is working on my case. As CS said they are not a technical person, they know nothing about my case and even cannot provide timeline of my port in requests. I really don't recommend this company.
