Noise Pollution Violates UK Laws

Their new notification policy is a nightmare. I've been with them over a year. Suddenly when they take payment they text notifications overnight eg almost 1am or 7am when everyone is sleeping. Most people keep their phones open overnight eg for emergencies. Nothing gives them the right to wake us up. Email confirmations. Don't text!! I told them last month they had woken me up. I was fuming. They assured me they would turn off notifications. They did not. This month they texted me at 12.40AM!! This is highly unethical and violates UK noise pollution laws. Businesses cannot contact consumers outside reasonable business hours. This means 8am to 11pm.

Adam's support was great

I wish to profusely thank Talk Home staffer Mr Adam who provied excellent support through 'Chat' function on 5 July 2025. This Chat I tried after repeated failing to get anyone, even worse disconnection while trying to speak with Talk Home Mobile team. so their phone does not work but luckily chat worked and more luckily Mr Adam was fantastic. Thank you dear Adam

World record customer service response time

Talk home turned off my monthly sim only service without notification, leaving me stranded without data. They lose one star for this as this shouldn't happen. However they earn 4 stars because I explained the issue by email. It took only THREE MINUTES for a response and complete resolution. I have never seen a customer support email replied to and issue resolved so quickly.

Would not recommend.

Would not recommend. Have got two SIM's from them in last few months. In both cases my number Port has failed unexplainedly. I have contacted customer support on online chat in both cases. Their attitude is awful. They don't apologise, even when they get mixed up in the chat! Their prices are good, but you are getting what you pay for unfortunately. Their website is also quite poor and confusing.

Looking to move from voxi so tried…

Looking to move from voxi so tried cheap sim for work use before I moved main sim card . Ads on Facebook seemed to be out of date and replys from talk to queries seemed a bit curt. Main website had offers totally different to fb ads. Also very hard to find out more details etc, how long is contract etc and got asked to take screen shot of offer I wanted. When ordered it was actually easy and sim came in about 2 working days. When sim arrived I simply put in phone and calls and texts worked. Data didnt, so went on help line. Help line lady was too technical and i had no dea what she meant so left phone to son to sort out. Works fine now. Coverage seems great in hull where I live and speeds were as same as other networks. Also app on phone seems simple and does a good job letting you know how you are with your sim plan. Seems a good move upto now.

Good service and a pretty smooth transfer

I moved to TalkHome in November 2023 because Plusnet were stopping their services. I needed a network that used EE because of where I live. I also wanted something inexpensive. I did lots of research and ended up with TalkHome. I had a few concerns because of some of the negative reviews but it has all gone really well. It is now February 2024 and my service and billing have all been really smooth. My only problem was with trasferring my number which seemed to hit a hitch at one point but I resolved it by calling the Talk Home customer service and they sorted it out easily. I therefore recommend TalkHome for a SIM only deal.

How to deal with customers the right way

Never ever dealt with a more effective and efficient customer service. I’ve just started with talk home/EE and it was a simple and effortless solutions to my queries. I was totally dissatisfied and disappointed with O2 who could never solve my issues, these guys are great.
