Buh-bye Skype!
Like many others, Microsoft's decision to kill off Skype left us hanging on (without) the telephone. The port over to SwitchboardFREE was painless and quick, the charges are lower, it's far more configurable and actually has decent support, happy to help you get things set up. The only slight negative is the actual interface on Mac/iPhone, which is literally just a keyboard, like the Calculator app - to dial you have to move your cursor over each number rather than use the numeric pad on your keyboard, and it's a bit slow to connect through.
