Spyder are not honoring their warranty on their gear. Just bought a jacket. It has a faulty clip to hold hood in place. Apparently they filed for bankruptcy and the customers be damned.

I placed an order with 30% off the retail price, with a clock showing there are ONLY a few hours to get the sale price. Which you have continued for many days after. Now you have the same items at 40% off the retail price with a clock. This is misleading, false advertising, deceptive and bait-and-switching to say the least.
Spyder Customer Care is virtually non existent. Three years ago my sister visited America and at my request bought my wife, on my behalf Spyder Faux Fur Jacket 154009 001 - Black Women’s size 6 She has worn the jacket for 3x one week ski holidays and about 10 days as well. The jacket has been well maintained and not abused in any way - no ski falls. Both elbow pads and the rear and front shoulder faux leather areas have frayed and holed in several sections. On examination these faux leather pads are extremely thin material, about 0.5 mm, less than paper napkin thin in fact and tissue strong. Not up to merchantable quality. I noted the product comes with a “Limited Lifetime Warranty”. After several unsuccessful attempts to contact Spyder USA (their web site seems to reject photo attachment from UK) and no reply to emails, I tried Spyder EU. They replied that the “Lifetime Warranty” did not apply to Europe. The European warranty term was 2 years. My sister therefore paid $550 for a jacket that lasted 30 days gentle use and developed holes in both elbows, plus front and back shoulders - 8 holes! We aspired to using Spyder products but feel so let down and disappointed by my actual experience, I will never buy from them again and recommend others buy from a different company.
I had a terrible experience with Spyder, both with their customer service and their inflexible return policy. After spending close to $1,000 on multiple orders, I was shocked by their refusal to price match a previous order. I needed to exchange a jacket for a smaller size, but their customer service rep was unhelpful. When I requested a supervisor, she too refused to apply the original sale price as a credit, citing their rigid policy. Even as a courtesy, they wouldn't credit the difference, which is frustrating given the amount I’ve spent with them. To make matters worse, their return process is unnecessarily complicated and costly. Spyder’s policy prohibits returning items purchased separately (with different order numbers) in a single package, forcing customers to incur additional return fees. This questionable system is completely consumer-unfriendly and feels like a deliberate way to squeeze more money from customers. If Spyder had physical stores where you could try on items, many of these issues could be avoided altogether. I’m extremely disappointed and will never shop with Spyder again. Save yourself the hassle and take your business elsewhere.
Shipping time is terrible, 20+ days is ridiculous. Bought 10/31, still hasn't arrived. Customer service responds with a form letter. I wear only Spyder ski gear - jackets, pants, hats - I'm going to switch to a different company and burn my Spyder gear.
Bought a 5pk of boxers from spyder before joining the military, they have been the only boxers which did not irritate or chafe on long runs etc, superb material, even after 6 years they are still in super condition, very pleased with spyder 👍🏼👍🏼👌🏼
Bad marketing and customer service from Spyder. As a person who buys loads of Spyder gear I am extremely disappointed that Spyder US are offering highly discounted sales prices on their ski jackets which are not reflected on Spyder EU website. I reached out to Spyder EU and they couldn’t even be bothered to reply to me. Very poor all round. All I want to do is buy a Spyder ski Jacket from Spyder EU at a similar price to what they are offering on Spyder US website obviously taking into account currency exchange rates.
Helpful customer service... I ordered baselayers from Spyder in both a womens and a mens style. I was hoping the mens would fit because I prefer the style of the mens product. Unfortunately it did not. I wanted to exchange the mens product for more of the womens version. This is a little complicated as it means 1. doing a return 2. purchasing the new product 3. contacting spyder to refund the re-stocking fee However, I was able to contact spyder first by phone and then through their customer service email. It would be nice if the exchange process were a bit easier, but at least I was able to get helpful customer service.
I ordered a woman's sweater as a present thru Spyder's Facebook 3rd party marketing with a 50% discount, but was charged full price. I requested assistance directly from Spyder and they came through making good on the discount offer. The product is of high quality, as I expected as a longtime Spyder customer. I'd recommend dealing directly with Spyder

Bought a pair of expensive ski pants and they gained a crotch hole after only 2 days out. Their automated Zendesk help desk ticket system is BS and you NEVER hear back from them. They respond with an automated message to send them RMA details at the same time the close the ticket as RESOLVED and no human ever reads it or follows up with some actual WORK to resolve the issue! My LAST Spyder gear purchase!
Placed order and within hour attempted to change size. Called customer service...drops call with no picking up. Emailed and received automated response stating that "Due to our system's automation, orders on Spyder.com cannot be adjusted or canceled after they are placed." This should have been managed with a simple change of order but now I am stuck with a ski jacket that is the wrong size when all I wanted was to swap it out with the correct size. No ski jacket now for me this year and will not buy Spyder in future. No human to even contact.
So many things wrong. Shipping from Vancouver to Langley apparently takes months? Sloppy service all around - if you are needing a package within a few weeks don’t order from Spyder. Quality’s good but it doesn’t make a difference if you can’t receive a package. Waste of time!
Spyder quality has sadly been ruined, as it used to be very good. Having owned their products for over 40yrs I would know. Paid to ship product to Warranty dept., who then incorrectly fix a broken zipper and pocket, then corrected it after notifying them with photos. They then mis-shipped it back and failed to notify it had been shipped back, only to be stolen. They tried to send replacement of far inferior product with same name, and no longer responding after multiple attempts. 7 months later this is totally unacceptable.
Product on website priced at $89.00. received product with new tags marked $79.00. Satisfied with purchase but this leaves a terrible taste in my mouth.
I've ordered the Leader jacket on the Spyder website , it got delivered in 48 hours , I had a question about the fit and the customer service responded in a couple of hours. Great
There is a reason all the reviews for this brand are so low. My Spyder jacket fell apart - the glue or whatever they use to do the pockets have way on all areas around that zips. Spyder just kept asking for proof of purchase of warranty - was bought per covid so no warranty. Wasn’t good enough that I had the jacket complete with their own labels showing age etc. the first guy Quinn as good but then it got passed along. anyway they are really appalling and drag all the communication out then say “because you don’t have the information we requested….” Have worked on retail In the heads offices of LVMH and Estée Lauder value their customers and reputation, it was surprising that Spyder behaved this way. Good news is that their are plenty of other brands .
Actually I want to give 0 stars because if you contact Spyder by mail they just don't respond! Worst service ever! We have always bought ski gear from Spyder for a lot of money but now it's done and we will buy from Bogner where the customer service is great!
