Great Knowledge and advice, not afraid to tell you the bad from the good parts of a Solar/Battery system. Advice is impartial, if you are not sold on a particular set-up that they are offering after review your needs they will adapt it to meet your personal requirements/budget Not out to over sell any product or brand if they don't believe it suites you
Shocking Customer Service. Signed a contract on 19/11 and told installation will happen pre Christmas and now in mid February and I have no installation date. I am now trying to cancel my contract as despite 6-8 chasers they have never proactively or reactively contacted me. Starting to think the company is a scam but hopefully not
I spent a long time looking at different companies before choosing South Coast renewables. We were looking for a company to instal a lot of panels on a large North East facing roof, with a Solaredge inverter which would work alongside another previously installed set of solar panels on a smaller Solaredge inverter and for both inverters to charge the battery. This was the only company to give us a quote that said confidently that this could be done and they had actually consulted Solaredge, which gave me the confidence to go with them. Being suspicious after bad experiences with other companies I actually contacted Solaredge to confirm this and they had indeed checked all the details of our instal with them. They also installed the Solaredge backup system, which makes us completely self sufficient in the event of a power cut. The instal went very well. We are really pleased with the work done. This instal took place in January but i have left it a while before reviewing in case of any problems, and to see how the panels performed. There have been the odd glitches but these were due to Solaredge equipment, not the installing company and have all been sorted quickly by Solaredge. The panels, despite being on a NE facing roof, and not having a particularly good summer, have exceeded our expectations, increasing our solar output 4 fold or more over the summer months and the payments from exports virtually paying for our years gas bill ( we have gas central heating) as well as having a net zero electricity cost over the year. I would definitely recommend this company. I have contacted them a few times with various queries since the instal and always got a quick response!
Excellent service from start to finish. Quote produced quickly and with good supporting detail and options for different panels and battery capacities. Very tidy installation of both the panels and the supporting electrics. Bit of a mix up regarding installation of "bird protection" around the panels, but turned out to be my mistake as they had been included in another quote. SCRE came back and added them at minimal extra charge. System has been working well (in spite of the rotten weather!). Electric bills already noticeably lower. The GivEnergy monitoring app is very useful and allows download to the battery at cheap overnight tariff and export to grid at peak evening hours, so should still enable savings over the winter period. SCRE support has been prompt and informative.

Excellent service from start to finish (and beyond!) I had engaged with a number of solar/battery storage companies with the intention of just gathering some quotes. The responses varied wildly in content, price and quality. The biggest piece to me that stood out with South Coast was their understanding of my usage and needs tied together with my budget (which was actually fairly modest). They listened carefully and put forward a proposal that met my needs perfectly, and I decided to go ahead. The install time was as fast as it could be (had to wait for the DNO application as my system was over 3.6kW) and because South Coast have a 100% in-house team, the scaffolding was put up and taken down quickly, all answers (whether technical or not) were answered effectively and they were honest when they had to get further clarification rather than just telling you what you want to hear. Install only took just over a day and I was up and running within a little over 2 weeks from placing the order. Special thanks to all involved on my install as everyone was polite, couteous, knew exactly what they were doing and dealt with any deviations quickly and efficiently. A very happy customer here with a neatly installed system that covers my needs and wants. Now if only you could do something about the amount of sun we get in the UK winter I'd give you 6 stars!

Right from our first meeting with their rep we felt they understood our requirements. The scaffolding crew were polite and very careful around our property and our neighbours, the scaffolding went up and removed on time. Then the panel installers came and we were delighted with the care and neatness of their work. They explained the app and the equipment to us clearly. All in all were delighted.

The company did a very good job, however the scaffolders were misinformed and had to come back another day as I had a conservatory on the back of the house. All the panels were added to the roof and the electrics connected in the same day. I had to prompt them with regard to the DNO certificate and now have to wait about seven weeks!

South Coast Renewables installed our solar panel system in Nov 2023. Three months on, the system is performing at least to expectations, perhaps a bit better. The whole process was very good. Pricing was competitive, using good quality hardware. Sales person and technical surveyor were thorough, expert, professional, and patient with nerdy questions. Scaffolders and installers were friendly and tidy. Head office staff were quick and helpful. Spring is coming, and yesterday for the first time we generated more power than we used :) Original review 16/11/2023, edited 04/03/2024 but still 5 stars.

From start to finish this company were professional and all employees carried out their parts of the installation impeccably. The sales pitch was informative but not pushy. Living in a Grade II listed property we were unable to site panels on our South facing roof and chose to use a South East facing roof of an outbuilding which would not be visible from a road or other property. The App which monitors usage is very useful as it shows how much battery is available so that you can switch on appliances such as washing machines or dishwashers to take advantage of free power. Obviously the Spring and Summer months will create greater savings allowing power to go back to the National Grid but even on bright winter days there are savings to be made. I highly recommend this company who will give you all the information you need to help you make the right decision for your situation.
