Great Knowledge and advice, not afraid to tell you the bad from the good parts of a Solar/Battery system. Advice is impartial, if you are not sold on a particular set-up that they are offering after review your needs they will adapt it to meet your personal requirements/budget Not out to over sell any product or brand if they don't believe it suites you
Shocking Customer Service. Signed a contract on 19/11 and told installation will happen pre Christmas and now in mid February and I have no installation date. I am now trying to cancel my contract as despite 6-8 chasers they have never proactively or reactively contacted me. Starting to think the company is a scam but hopefully not
I spent a long time looking at different companies before choosing South Coast renewables. We were looking for a company to instal a lot of panels on a large North East facing roof, with a Solaredge inverter which would work alongside another previously installed set of solar panels on a smaller Solaredge inverter and for both inverters to charge the battery. This was the only company to give us a quote that said confidently that this could be done and they had actually consulted Solaredge, which gave me the confidence to go with them. Being suspicious after bad experiences with other companies I actually contacted Solaredge to confirm this and they had indeed checked all the details of our instal with them. They also installed the Solaredge backup system, which makes us completely self sufficient in the event of a power cut. The instal went very well. We are really pleased with the work done. This instal took place in January but i have left it a while before reviewing in case of any problems, and to see how the panels performed. There have been the odd glitches but these were due to Solaredge equipment, not the installing company and have all been sorted quickly by Solaredge. The panels, despite being on a NE facing roof, and not having a particularly good summer, have exceeded our expectations, increasing our solar output 4 fold or more over the summer months and the payments from exports virtually paying for our years gas bill ( we have gas central heating) as well as having a net zero electricity cost over the year. I would definitely recommend this company. I have contacted them a few times with various queries since the instal and always got a quick response!
Excellent service from start to finish. Quote produced quickly and with good supporting detail and options for different panels and battery capacities. Very tidy installation of both the panels and the supporting electrics. Bit of a mix up regarding installation of "bird protection" around the panels, but turned out to be my mistake as they had been included in another quote. SCRE came back and added them at minimal extra charge. System has been working well (in spite of the rotten weather!). Electric bills already noticeably lower. The GivEnergy monitoring app is very useful and allows download to the battery at cheap overnight tariff and export to grid at peak evening hours, so should still enable savings over the winter period. SCRE support has been prompt and informative.

After spending many hours considering numerous offers from recently incorporated companies to take up their "bargains", I concluded that SCR appeared to tick my boxes - I have not been sorry. Their selection of the right PV panels, inverter and battery for my individual needs at a cost that fitted my budget beat all the others. Their availability for contact was excellent and the agreed timetable suited us both. As important was the fact that they kept to it! There were challenges, as any experienced person would expect, such as weather and digital bugs but the SCR team kept at it, kept to schedule and produced what I call a beautiful array on the roof and neat cabling inside the property. Despite heavy cloud, rain and no sun, the system was topping up the battery which was a satisfying experience.

Out of 5 companies contacted, South Coast Renewable Energy, (though not the cheapest) stood out as the most knowledgeable and helpful of them all. James Kelly went through our requirements without jargon and his recommendations completely altered (for the better) what we thought we would need and steered us away from inferior products and companies by the simple method of a link to Trust Pilot...which was a revelation. Once the decision had been made, Kieran, in charge of installation, set the wheels in motion. Three weeks later the installation went ahead. Special recognition should go to Aran the electrician who installed the system in a single day day and was on time and very tidy. Thanks also to the chap who did the external fixings. The scaffolders, who are contracted to the company, were also swift, efficient and a friendly bunch too. The 2 technicians that commissioned the system were patient in explaining the system. 5 Stars justified.

The quotation process was thorough beginning with a needs assessment, followed by a technical explanation of the system and finally a recommendation specked to my needs and expectations. Installation was seamless, on time and spotless. The system works very well and is delivering beyond expectations. Great team, great job!

We had a few different companies out to quote us for our solar panels. We had a visit from Rowan who was very knowledgeable and happy to help us make the best decision based on our electricity usage. Me and my wife both work from home so the difference our new system has made has been instant. The install team were clean and tidy and they were happy to show me how to use the app to monitor what our system is doing at any point in time. I would certainly recommend South Coast, although they were not our cheapest quote once I had been shown pictures and testimonials of some of their other recent installs we are really pleased we chose them! Also bought their maintenance package to cover my panels for the foreseeable which was a stand out that others didn’t offer!

We had a few quotes for solar to be installed on our roof. After talking to them they did not disappoint very knowledgeable from the start to finish. They explained all the ins and outs of the system and was installed within 3 weeks. The most important aspect was that they do not sub contract their work which me and my wife were struggling to find with other companies. Would highly recommend.

Great service from South Coast Renewable Energy Ltd. From our initial visit from the surveyor, who advised us on how many panels we would need, how the energy would be stored, how much it would cost, how long it would take, and when installation would begin, everything ran very smoothly. The installation team were both very efficient, and gave us a very nice, neat looking set of solar panels on both sides of our garage roof. Bird proof wire mesh around the panels was used to stop birds going under the panels. All wiring outside of the property was put into conduit, so everything looks very neat and tidy. Since switch on we have seen how much energy our panels are producing with the monitoring app that was given to us. We would certainly recommend South Coast Renewable Energy Ltd.

South Coast Renewable Energy Limited installed our solar panels and associated solar equipment. The South Coast team from start to finish were knowledgeable, professional, competent and friendly. The scaffolding was erected and dismantled as agreed and the install team were very efficient in the way they carried out the solar installation. The housekeeping during and after the install was excellent. The install team (roofers and electricians) provided guidance on the solar installation and installed the associated monitoring app to our smart phones. Overall an excellent customer experience.
