I contacted Sonic about shipping my car from MO to AZ. I was contacted by Robin V. Who was not only helpful in setting up the transportation, but always stayed in communication with me regarding any updates. I appreciated that he was nice in helping me understand the process and sought to make things very easy for me. He was able to set up transport with a driver who I also had a very good experience with, and he followed up afterwards to verify that my car arrived in good condition and to see if I encountered any issues. Leo Alexander is active for my car transportation. He basically timely updates the progress every day.

I had a quote 2 months in advance to move my car for $650. After the contract was signed, nothing happened until 3 days before the “first available date”. They said a driver would contact me. I had to call them the day they were supposed to pick up, and then proceeded to tell me that it would now be $1100 to move the car. I told them this was unacceptable and the agent said it was due to “market demand”. They then got it down to $850 which is still $200 more than quoted. Their contract says they have a 5 day window, the agent said they would not continue to quote past $850 because “I’m wasting her time”. They would not even attempt to quote throughout the week because “it would be a waste of time”. On top of all this they blame “the market” and take no accountability. I was never told that this is how this works. EDIT : after reaching out to upper management they refunded the deposit amount. They said that this was a misunderstanding but I appreciate that they elected to give back the deposit. Note this seems to have come from a particular employee and maybe is not reflective of the entire company. This employee DID say that I was wasting her time. But upper management like I said did refund the deposit

Leo Alexander was wonderful. The vehicle was picked up on the date agreed upon and delivered a little bit late, I’m sure to traffic related issues. I only have one constructive comment, however, I understand the middle man part, but the two parties should look at getting a contract that has agreed upon fees so the customer doesn’t have to wait for a price from a transport driver which are probably independent contractors. That would make the situation much more easier. Also, maybe a disclaimer letting the customer know the process. Overall, I think things went pretty well for the first time having to use such a service.
