Had issues but was corrected
I had a quote 2 months in advance to move my car for $650. After the contract was signed, nothing happened until 3 days before the “first available date”. They said a driver would contact me. I had to call them the day they were supposed to pick up, and then proceeded to tell me that it would now be $1100 to move the car. I told them this was unacceptable and the agent said it was due to “market demand”. They then got it down to $850 which is still $200 more than quoted. Their contract says they have a 5 day window, the agent said they would not continue to quote past $850 because “I’m wasting her time”. They would not even attempt to quote throughout the week because “it would be a waste of time”. On top of all this they blame “the market” and take no accountability. I was never told that this is how this works. EDIT : after reaching out to upper management they refunded the deposit amount. They said that this was a misunderstanding but I appreciate that they elected to give back the deposit. Note this seems to have come from a particular employee and maybe is not reflective of the entire company. This employee DID say that I was wasting her time. But upper management like I said did refund the deposit
