Put deposit to lock in date for solar battery on 7th Nov. got a quote from electrician that afternoon on something the salesman said costs $1500 which was added on quote, electrician quoted me $350. I felt sick could not sleep that night texted salesman that I want to cancel order, rang support and emailed them on the 10th Nov. It is the 25th Nov still no refund. They keep sending me emails saying we haven't heard from you in 4 days, so wanting to check-in to see if there is anything else we can help you with. I keep replying I have cancelled order. I have given banking details as requested for refund and told it would take 5 to 10days, still waiting.

Zad took the lead and made the process unbelievably easy. He's an asset to his team and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Update: In the 18 days this system has been running we have already generated more electricity than the average SA household uses in an entire month. Exported enough to power another house for three weeks. Used less grid power than most people use in one single day before solar. I am currently on pace to generate over 5,500 kWh and export nearly 4,000 kWh in my first full year — while pulling maybe 100–150 kWh from the grid total.

Kyle, as the first contact, was refreshingly forthright and knowledgeable about the process involved in upgrading to a battery system. He was followed by Kian, who was not only professional in his assessment of our requirements, but was most personable as he explained to us the way forward. Both promoted in us a feeling of trust and confidence, as we look forward to completing the installation exercise in the future.

4 years ago I made the decision to have 15 solar panels and a Sungrow inverter installed at my home. I live alone and use very little energy but it was the environmental benefits that initially made me make the decision. I like the idea that my energy needs are provided by the sun and not from burning coal or any other substance. Since installing the panels 4 years ago, I have paid two bills for electricity. One was for about $30 and the other for 0.42c! My panels provide me with enough energy to run a reverse cycle air conditioner, a tumbler dryer and dish washer on an almost daily basis. The credit from unused electricity is used to pay my gas bill (hot water and kitchen). The team at Smart energy were great the whole way through and the after care is awesome. I can’t thank Nathan Hagstrom and his team enough for helping me do my bit for the environment and save money too.

Conor Gavin and his team carried an absolutely first-class installation. Great team effort from start to finish. Completed an upgrade to my existing system not what others were wanting to remove and install a completely new system. This suited my needs to a tee.
