Invested £150k with Secure Trust. As with most providers, they reduce interest rates for existing customers, and offer enhanced rates for new customers. I am used to this. Normally easy to switch to the new (better) rates without a problem if you are on the ball. Tried to switch to get the better rate, only to be presented with a series of hoops which proved insurmountable. All you get when messaging are nondescript replies from `The Savings Team' - no names, no continuity. Solution: SWITCH to another provider with a little more integrity. I have found several so Secure Trust have lost £150k. BEWARE!
Great bank and app. Simple, easy to use. However, preiodically reduces interest rates (normal), while offering higher interest rates to new customers. You can't have this higher ate unless you change your plan (close exisintg one and open a new one). Shame, as it drove me away. I don't mind a reduction in interest rates, but at least give existing customers the same rate as new ones.
It's always easy to contact Secure Trust and staff are very helpful. On this occasion I was transferring money to a new account with better interest I wasn't able to do it myself on line and the representative was able to talk me through the process to completion. Never had a negative experience with them.
My partner has not received good service. Trying to access his account via telephone banking has been frustrating and in the end interest has been lost. I submitted a complaint on his behalf and they acknowledged that they were at fault. He has since withdrawn all his funds.

It feels safe and reliable to invest either Secure Trust. But as I do not have a mobile phone and I do not use/ have a computer and I am computer illiterate. I need more paperwork to keep my account in order. I need much more details and regular up to date information. At the moment I am relying on a third party for help.

Have recently set up a JOINT Access Account with Secure Trust Bank. Made several deposits so far. HOWEVER, when I needed to go online to make a withdrawal I was told that I could not make a withdrawal in my own security field. Had to somehow get "permission" or authorisation from the other joint account holder. That is also very top heavy in that the other joint account holder would have to phone in or secure message agreement to make any withdrawal! I have banked online for years, and have numerous other joint accounts where, in setting up the account, it is agreed or accepted that each of us can make withdrawals on our own application using our discreet security details. This is supposed to be an "ACCESS" account, but this clumpy method is hardly that when one needs to pay in, and withdraw speedily. We have, sadly, instructed to close the account.
I am surprised to to have been asked to reveiw Secure Trust Bank as I have been dead for six years. Secure Trust Bank was advised of my death and my executors forwarded all necessary probate documents to close my accounts at the time. In 2022 after receiving emails about erroreous tax statements a fomal complaint was made to the bank. Again in February 2025 the bank was contacted to complain about an email received about a reduction in interest rate for a closed account. Undeterred Secure Trust Bank are now asking me to reveiw their performance! If this is an example of Secure Trust Bank's data system, it raises the question - How safe is your personal information with Secure Trust Bank?
