Secure Trust Bank PLC

Recently opened a savings account. The only problem with this account, is it slow to credit deposited funds to account compared to lots of the banks. With others it's almost instantly. I'll stick with this bank until something more competitive comes along.

A very easy bank to deal with

I found the website very difficult to negotiate. Could not find all my account details especially monthly/ compound interest options and how to change them.

I've just opened a savings account with Secure Trust Bank, so I am making transfers of money into the bank. I'm impressed to see that STB sends an email to acknowledge receiving the money within minutes of the payment arriving. Other banks and building societies don't do that, so as a cautious saver I have to log into those accounts to check the balance before making another payment. Thanks, Secure Trust Bank, for this reassuring practice.

The website is very simple to navigate. To communicate with customers at least one month before maturing date.

I came across STB through a recommendation on moneysavingexpert and have not looked back since. That having been said it's the interest rates they pay, which work out better than my cash ISA, even after tax.
